Hi LCCKids families !

TUESDAY: Luke 4:42- 44
WEDNESDAY: Luke 5:1-7
THURSDAY: Luke 5:8 -11
FRIDAY: Luke 5:12 -16
SATURDAY: Luke 5:17-2 0
Enjoy these fun ideas as you study and learn together as a family!
• Play a “let me go” game.
Begin by playing a game similar to Mother, May I. In this game choose someone to be Pharaoh. Mark a starting line and an ending line. In this version, the person who wants to move, instead of asking “Mother, may I?” he can say, “Let me go four steps forward.” Pharaoh must say either “yes” or “no.” The first person to reach Pharaoh becomes the new Pharaoh. When everyone has had a turn to be Pharaoh, review the story by reminding your family that Pharaoh refused to let the people go, but God showed Pharaoh what God could do.
• Review the plagues.
Open your Bible to Exodus 7 and briefly review each of the plagues God sent to Egypt, making sure to share content appropriate for your child’s level of understanding. After you have reviewed each of the plagues, discuss the plagues and allow everyone to decide which of the plagues they would consider the worst. Say: “Pharaoh did not care what plagues God sent. Nothing changed Pharaoh’s mind until the last plague. God helped Pharaoh see that God is the one true God. God led the people out of Egypt so they could worship Him.”
• Play with water.
For this activity you are going to want to cover an area of your kitchen floor or table to limit the mess. If weather permits, this would be a great outdoor activity. Secure a shallow pan of water and provide kids with opportunities to try to split the water so that it is dry in the middle. See how creative your family can be while trying to separate the water. Say: “When Israel left Egypt, God made the Red Sea split so that the Israelites could walk across on dry ground. Nothing we can do will make this water separate. God is all-powerful.”
