Coat Drive at St. John the Apostle in Leesburg this weekend - October 10th & 11th The Knights of Columbus will be collecting new and gently used coats this weekend, October 10th and 11th, in the church parking lot before and after all Masses. The Knights will then deliver them to Keyser, WV, where a large percentage of the population lives in poverty. The need is even greater this year and many are without clothing vouchers. The parishioners of St. John have been very generous in prior years and that generosity has been very much appreciated. Assumption parish works with the other churches in Keyser through the Community Closet to see that the coats, gloves, stocking caps, scarfs, and other winter clothing find a needy home. They are really grateful for the kindness that has been shown by St. John's parish over the years. This weekend, October 10th and 11th, look for a truck in the church parking lot in which to place your much appreciated donations.

I'm curious ... what percentage of parishioners are wearing masks at any given Mass? Appreciate any information in my effort to discern where I feel safe attending. Thanks!
Thank you for posting the reading and the Gospel and the saint of each day. 🙏🙏🙏

Question about the re-opening: If both the church and parish center reach full capacity, will those who are not permitted inside be able to receive communion, or should they return home?
Shhhh - it's a surprise (fortunately Dr. Taylor is not on FB so this is easy!) Our beloved Preschool Director, Dr. Jane Taylor, is retiring this year. She has been a huge part of not only, St.. John's preschool but also LCPS for decades! If you have ever had her as your teachers / administrator / friend / collegue we ask that you snap a picture with a thank you and well wishes sign or record a small video. I will be compiling a video montage for her. You can send me a PM or email me at [email protected] by Friday, May 15. Thank you!
