Grace Baptist Church

I am on the edge of damnation itself. I can almost feel the heat of the flames.
In November, 2014, I prayed and wrestled and struggled until I finally felt myself giving to Jesus what I had held back all my "Christian" life, for over 30 years.
I still believed I could pursue my dream of being a star and a good-looking guy, and this became my idolatry. I was horrible abusive to Jesus when I didn't get it, and yet He still loved me just the same.
In late-2017 I renounced Jesus, and felt a slight plea in m not to do so, but I violently in rage did so anyway., and felt something leave.
(I will also add, that even AFTER denouncing JESUS, I, another time another place, would get so angry and start to denounce Him again BUT THEN I would stop, and think about it, and I changed my mind and heart in time to NOT denounce Him THAT TIME.)
I have been begging forgiveness and repenting, but I am getting worse, I think. Now unbelief in the Old Testament stories is having an effect upon my ability to believe in JESUS. I am holding on for dear life, terrified of committing apostasy.
PLEASE, I implore and beg of your church to pray specifically for me that Jesus take me back, (or that He save me if I really was NOT saved.)
FOR HIS SAKE, and glory... Don't forget, for HIS sake, not mine. I am a dog. I deserve damnation.
ALSO pray, maybe, He could restore the love He had for me back to me, and the love I had for HIM back to me. Even if it means I have to be an UGLY man and never be a star.

Founders Ministries

... a church that ministers effectively to all age groups will keep the gospel alone as the foundation for church life and unity. Believers of all ages must be taught that our union with Christ, regardless of age, is what makes us one body. A ten-year-old Christian has more in common with an eighty-year-old Christian than with ten-year-old unbelievers. Where this is recognized and celebrated, real gospel-centered community thrives.

He was asking a question that I had heard multiple times during my years as a pastor: “Do you have children’s church?” This time, I decided to give a brief and accurate yet intentionally provocative answer.

This article is well worth reading. It’s now clear that COVID-19 is a deadly serious global pandemic, and all necessary precautions should be taken. Still, C. S. Lewis’s words—written 72 years ago—ring with some relevance for us. Just replace “atomic bomb” with “coronavirus.” In one way we think a great deal too much o...
