Holy & Whole mourns the senseless loss of life and stand in solidarity against hate with our Jewish brothers and sisters from the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue. We condemn the evil terrorist attack in Pittsburgh as a hate crime and a crime against humanity!

We believe God for the total healing and speedy recovery of those injured. We lift all families and victims affected by this act of domestic terrorism in prayer during this difficult time. We ask that all Christians, and people of faith and goodwill lift your voices and join us in raising the standard of love, in a time in America when hate is on the rise!

We recommit ourselves to radically loving our neighbors without regard to race color, creed, religion. Together we can combat the darkness of hate and stop the spread of mass murders in America!

Join us tomorrow for worship at 11am, as we lift our nation in prayer!

Eagle Scout project: African American Burial Ground for Enslaved at Belmont

Attention Holy & Whole,
We need your help this weekend! Mikaeel rescheduled the final work to THIS WEEKEND July 7-8th, and the weather is looking PERFECT for such a sacred undertaking!

We need ✴️⚠️🆘🔜🗣️ ALL HANDS ON DECK because THIS weekend is the FINAL weekend of work on Mikaeel's Eagle Scout project to build the “Journey To Freedom Heritage Trail” at the sacred African American Burial Ground for the Enslaved at Belmont!

Volunteers from Loudoun will be laying down SIXTEEN TONS of gravel! WHAT⁉️⁉️ If you've ever hauled gravel using only wheelbarrows and shovels -- UPHILL -- you know it's some of the most GRUELING work on Earth! So he could use as much help as possible. Please consider coming out, even if it's only for a couple of hours -- many hands make light work! Thank y'all so very much for your support of our future Eagle Scout and his dream! Sign up today and let us know you’re coming!

See You There,
Priscilla Mtz & Pastor Michelle C. Thomas

Hi everyone!

I am a Life Scout in Troop 163 and Crew 786 working on my Eagle Scout project. My plan is to construct a 400-foot walking trail through the sacred African American Burial Ground for the Enslaved at Belmont. I will also be laying down pavers near the graves to demarcate the area. My project will benefit the Loudoun Freedom Center.

Located at the southeast intersection of Belmont Ridge Road and Route 7 in Ashburn VA, the three-acre property was used by enslaved Africans of the Belmont plantation as a gathering place and as a burial ground. Constructing a walking trail through the cemetery will allow visitors to have access to an important part of American history and will allow people to pay their respects to the people buried there.

My goal is to uplift the cemetery as much as I can and to do my part in honoring those who sacrificed so much to build our country. Your support for this is greatly appreciated.

Thankfully, my project has been fully funded by the generous support of many individual community members, local organizations like the Naacp Loudoun, and in-kind support from local businesses including Shirley Contracting, Luck stone Quary, Loudoun Lumber Co Inc, and Browning Equipment.

So now it is time to start working. Please consider volunteering by signing up to help with construction of the trail at this link:

https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090b44afab22a31-signup

We will be using:

*16 (sixteen) tons of gravel
*100 8-ft long 4x4 wood borders
*400 metal stakes
*400-ft long x 4-ft wide groundcloth
*100 stone pavers

Thank you for your consideration.

This is our charge for YOU! You have an opportunity to influence decisions right here in Loudoun County and it starts with just being present, asking all the right questions, and bringing someone along to ensure they exercise their right as well.
