Are we having bible study tonight?
As I lay awake tonight with a very heavy heart, It has been a very rough two days for me. My brother who you guys know where he is had a very dear sweet man pass away and this man and my brother were very close. So I had to get the news to my brother. Then at the same time my dear sweet friend Zena’s husband called and said she was was having a very rough time and wanted me to call and talk to her, so after trying all day I finally get her and then the phone call comes in from my brother so having those two conversations back to back was really hard on me. So please pray for Zena and my brother and the Thornhill family and we all need to remember just how blessed we are.
I can't find the live anywhere
Please remember to pray for my friend Zena as now she is in hospital(by her self) getting ready to start this procedure and will be in hospital for awhile.

Today we are studying on the final judgement. The first thing to understand about the final judgment is, that it cannot be avoided. Regardless of how we may choose to interpret prophecy on the end times, we are told that “it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment” We all have a divine appointment with God . Hebrews 9:27-28 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Acts 10:34-46 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. 36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) (Believers will also be judged, at a different judgment called the “judgment seat of Christ” Believers will also be judged, at a different judgment called the “judgment seat of Christ” (Romans 14:10) 10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. However, since Christ’s righteousness has been imputed to us and our names are written in the Book of Life, we will be rewarded, not punished, according to our deeds.) At the final judgment the fate of the unsaved will be in the hands of the God who will judge everyone according to his soul’s condition.), but since Christ’s righteousness has been imputed to us and our names are written in the Book of Life, we will be rewarded, not punished, according to our deeds.) At the final judgment the fate of the unsaved will be in the hands of the omniscient God who will judge everyone according to his soul’s condition. John was given this revelation that the time for the rapture is a time for great gladness : Rev 19: 7-9 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. As God the Son, Jesus Christ will be the judge All unbelievers will be judged by Christ at the “great white throne,” and they will be punished according to the works they have done. The Bible is very clear that unbelievers are storing up wrath against themselves. This is why Jesus tells that the vengeance is His. Asking for your prayers, through out this very difficult time?
To day is Jerry and Gayla Cross is there 20th ANNIVERSARY to day April 9 1999 to 2019 . I am very happy with my husband and my self 😍
"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1" The way you see God will determine the way you will react to Him. The psalmist had an intimate relationship with the Lord; God was his light and salvation. As his light, God directed him and dispelled all forms of darkness in his life. The Lord as his salvation provided him with all the protection, comfort, and peace that he needed. When he made the Lord his light and salvation, fear fled from his life. He was girded with strength and power through the Word of God. Dear beloved, who is God to you? Have you also made Him your light, salvation, and strength? If you have, then there is no course to worry or fear because God will make sure He provides you with light, salvation, strength, nourishment, and everything you need. You will then be like the psalmist to testify of the goodness of the Lord. Do you believe His Word do you rely on it daily? Are you studying it and letting his light shine through you? The power and the Light of God only comes through His Word and our obedience. If you are then Praise be to God. If your not then pick up the cross and follow him. Learn of him yoke up with Jesus. You will never be sorry you did. Romans 8:9-11 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10.And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11.But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. He has put his spirit in us so we don’t have to live in the flesh. This does not mean we are not going to sin. We do however, have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, this will convict us and let us know we are not doing the will of God. See once again this is the proof we are the children of God, through Jesus and by the Holy Spirit. We don’t have to wonder, I say again, we don’t the to wonder if we are saved. We can and must know, this comes from the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 13:8-9 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines.9. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. We need to fear false doctrines and those that teach and preach these lies. They do more damage than we will ever understand. However, if we stay true to the Holy Spirit we will know them as false doctrines and not fear them. So as we see these things come to pass don’t fear it was prophesied by Jesus himself. Again we are told to stay to a sound doctrines. Just like then there are all sorts of doctrines that are not true. All doctrines have to be Christ based and based on his death and resurrection. We can't have a doctrine based on man's commandments but on Gods. We have religious people that will allow anything. A sin is a sin we have to teach and preach this fact. We can't base our doctrines on pleasing people we must please God. We must hate sin but, not the sinner. That is where we need to show God’s compassion for all his children. [04/25/20]   When we see our outward man perishing, we need not faint, for the inward man is being renewed day by day for what we have in the Lord is eternal. Daily Bible Scripture 04/25/2020
KJV 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

As we grow older our bodies become more frail , and begin to perish with different sickness, some worse than others, but the inward is continuing to be renew day by day, if we know the Lord there is no need to fear.

KJV Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. We need not fear , if we have put our faith in God he will give us strenght to overcome , he will hold us in is right hand.

We need not fear for God will strengthen us through the inward man one day at a time, whatever we need tomorrow God will supply, and will help us to overcome by our right hand of righteousness.

2 Tim 1 7-9
7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

8Be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

[04/24/20]   Deception in the latter days
Daily Bible Scripture 04/24/2020
KJV Matthew 24:3-5
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

We want to continue with [ deception ] being one of the signs of the coming of the Lord Jesus , now there has always been deception, for the devil deceived eve in the garden, and man has deceived man as long as time has been, but when Jesus said take heed that no man deceived you, he knew that deception would grow worse , and many would deceive in his name, and as we said earlier, that has happened in religion, we see where Paul said that the Spirit speaks "specifically" that in the [ latter times ] that some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils, Jesus said take heed “ many will be deceived, then the Spirit of God says in the latter times, some will leave the faith as they are seduced by those who will speak lies in hypocrisy, without any shame , having their conscience seared, or we could say being past feelings, and he is talking about religions doing this, as we see in the following scripture,

KJV 1 Timothy 4:1-2
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Let know man deceive you, [for that day] shall not come, except there shall be a falling away, that day means the day of the Lords coming, many have been deceived by religious teachings which deny the word of God as being infallible, by taking away from the word of God, omitting verses and parts of verses from the bible, by bringing forth what they call new translations of the bible, which is no more then mans private interpretation, which is deception, and as Jesus said they would do, they are deceiving many into believing it to be the word of God.

KJV 2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

KJV 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Matt. 9: 11-22

[04/23/20]   Once again as we look at the signs of Jesus return for His church and the great tribulation. We can see these very prophecies coming true. Peter gave us a warning of things to come. The very things we see happening today are what he is telling us about. People are denying the sovereignty of Christ. They deny He is the only begotten Son of God. They accept evolution as fact, thus denying God and Christ as creators.
2 Peter 3:2-10 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3. Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4. And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6. Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7. But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
If man continues with this denial, living outside the will of God the Father. They will wish all that they have denied was true. He is returning in the clouds to get His people those that have gone before then those that remained and are alive. Them the world will feel the wrath of their denials. There will be a great tribulation. There will be an anti-Christ, the false profit, One world government and religion. There is only one way to avoid this time of tribulation and then the second death in Hell. That being accepting Jesus as your savior. It is a choice you have to make it is a personal decision. Please take the time to seek Jesus and answer His calling.

[04/22/20]   Daily Bible Scripture 11/13/20 As we look at what is going on in the world today we see that we are living in troublesome times, but for us who are in Christ we know that He will give us grace whereby we can overcome whatever happens , and he is preparing a better place for those who are in him, for he is the way the truth and the life , so we just need to keep looking up for he is coming for those who are ready.

Jn.14:1-6 1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus said he would prepare a place for those who will come to him, and said if he went he would come again and receive those of us who are in Christ unto himself that where he is we will be also, we know that Jesus went back to the Father, and will remain with his Father until God tells him to go fetch his bride, now the only way that we will have a right to go back with him is to be in Christ, there is no other way, your religion want get you there, all your good works want get you there, for Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no matter what you do you can’t get to the Father except you go through Jesus, and to try to go around him some other way makes you a thief and a robber, but if [any man ] will come to Jesus [by faith he shall be saved. Jn.10:1-7-9

Man can try to justify himself by doing good works, being religious joining different clubs and churches, but none of those things will justify man, for the only way we can have peace with God is through his Son Jesus Christ, for Jesus is our access, our entrance, our door, our way to God, and its through him we have access [ by faith into the Grace of God] whereby we can rejoice in hope which is in Christ.

Ro.5:1-2 1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Now if you want to be with Jesus you need to be ready when he comes, and not be trusting in another opportunity after he comes for his bride, I hear some saying they can be saved in the tribulations, but the bible says that today is the day of salvation, and now is the accepted time.

2Cor.6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

[04/21/20]   RECONCILED TO GOD BY CHRIST
Daily Bible Scripture 04/21/2020
KJV Colossians 1:21-22
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
Reconciled
a : to restore to friendship or harmony b : SETTLE, RESOLVE
We were alienated and enemies to God because of sin which separated us from God and could not restore our relationship with God by any works of our own, it taken the body of Christ to be given as the perfect sacrifice to reconcile us to God, God loved us while we were sinners, and that is why he gave of his only begotten Son that we could be saved if we would believe in him.

KJV John 3:16-18
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Until man believes that the only hope he has is in Christ to reconcile him to God man will continue to be an enemy to God, will continue to be in condemnation, not presentable to God, there is no way that man can present himself holy and unblameable and unproveable, for mans righteousness is as a filthy rag in the sight of God

KJV Romans 5:8-11
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Some says God is love and want condemn man, but what man don’t seem to understand is that he is already condemned, and if man want believe that God sent his Son that man might be save man will continue to be condemned, for the only way that a man is not in condemnation is to be in Christ, who is the only one that can present us to God holy and unblameable, and unreproveable.

KJV Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The truth is that if any man is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creature: old things are passed away. All things have become new. The reason being he has been reconciled to God, no more an enemy to God, but a child of God and no more separated form God but in a relationship with God.

KJV 2 Corinthians 5:17-19
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now it doesn’t make any difference Jew or Gentile, rich or poor, male or female, we have to be reconciled to God in one body, by the cross, for though Jesus we have access by one Spirit unto God, therefore or because of that which we just stated we are no more strangers or foreigners, but we are fellowcitizens with the saints, and the household of God.

KJV Ephesians 2:16-19
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Hello and Welcome to First General Baptist Irving!

Today we are back on the subject that it is easier to be a Christian than it is to be lost. I am going to state that everyone has trails and tribulations. Even the healthiest person has aches and pains, the richest person has wants and needs, the happiest people still have there sad days. However, those of us that are Christian have a friend that is closer than a brother. He willingly gave His life for us. People this is shouting ground. That is another thing about being a Christian compared to the lost. We have Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I want to tell you there times that the Holy Spirit has had me so high I feel like I can’t touch the ground. Those out there that have never felt this sensation their are people that are looking for it. In a bottle, in a pill or a needle. Well I found it in Jesus Christ and it is endless, doesn’t cost me a thing and does not break me financially. So get addicted to Jesus and the Holy Spirit and let the good times in them roll.
1 Peter 3:14-18 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 16. Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 17. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. 18. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Another thing people talk about the rapture like it is a bad thing. Well if your not a Christian then it will be. As a Christian I look forward to that promise. Sure, I want all to go with us and the Lord. That is why I preach and teach, why I share these scriptures with you and why I try to live a life worthy. We need to lead the lost to this salvation through Jesus.
There is a hope that believers in Christ Jesus have committed to. That hope is that the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ's second coming is sure, even though He may tarry. For He who died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended to heaven, Jesus , did not tell us about His second coming to give us a spirit of fear but a spirit if hope. We are exhorted by the Apostle Peter to be ready and to always give an answer to every man who questions our hope. To be able to give a good answer, we must sanctify the Lord God in our hearts. In other words, we must set apart our hearts for the Lord Jesus Christ. He does not like a divided heart, or a heart that cannot distinguish between the holy thing and the unholy thing. Let us all sanctify our hearts daily so that we can be in a position to serve and give accurate answers to questions. Look up your redemption drawer nigh.
