Welcome to Briery Fellowship. We are a campus of Oakview Baptist Church.
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace"
1 Peter 4:10
[02/25/20] "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen
[02/19/20] "And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account." Hebrews 4:13
So many people are looking to the second coming of Christ to change everything, and it certainly will. But it will also be the end of sharing the Gospel with your friends, loved ones, and a world lost in sin. It was Christ’s first coming that forever changed everything - the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us - God with us - Emmanuel. And we get the incredible privilege to behold His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
This is Advent season. Let’s celebrate His first coming by sharing the Gospel with others so that we can ALL look forward to His second coming.
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
[06/28/16] Summer is a great time to start a new habit. You could begin reading your Bible daily, start a daily exercise routine, or get back to church. Have a great week!
[07/09/15] I hope to see everyone at church this Sunday. Can't wait!
[06/29/15] We are beginning to plan our annual Back to School Bash for August. Please pray that we can show our community how much Jesus loves them.
[03/03/15] Wednesday evening Bible Study is canceled this week due to poor weather conditions. See you all Sunday!
[01/27/15] As we continue to talk about Discipleship Tools this week I was wondering, what are your favorite tools you use for growing as a Christian. Obviously the Bible is the top answer, but is there a certain resource that you all have used and enjoyed.
[07/31/14] This week we will be looking at 1 Corinthians 5 and learning what the Bible has to say about sin in the life of the believer. I hope to see everyone there!
[07/31/14] This Sunday is Love Feast. Bring a dish, a friend, and a big smile!
[07/27/14] Our new website is up and running. www.brieryfellowship.com
[04/17/14] Everyone is invited to our sunrise service at 7 am on Sunday. Following the early service we will be serving a pancake breakfast. Hope to see everyone there.
[04/02/14] God's people are made to desire good things, but when one's desire becomes focused on someone else's stuff, it can easily cross over into the area of covetousness. It is an ungoverned and selfish desire that threatens the basic rights of others.
[02/15/14] Great training this morning! Thank all of you for attending.
[02/14/14] I told everyone the wrong meeting place for the teacher training. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall.
[02/14/14] I wanted to remind all those who teach at Briery, that tomorrow from 10 AM to 12 PM we will be having teacher training. Lunch will be provided at noon. Let me encourage you to participate in this, if at all possible. We will meet in the church office.
[02/06/14] As I sit and study for this week's message, I can't help but notice how the Lord's people continually listen to the Lord, and then almost immediately do the opposite of what He tells them.
[02/05/14] What do you think is the most important aspect of family ministry, and why do you think it's the most important?
[02/01/14] Tomorrow we are beginning a new sermon series. We will be talking about the Ten Commandments for the next several weeks. I hope to see everyone there!
[01/24/14] There will be a Leadership Team Meeting Sunday at 2 pm. I hope all the L.T. can make it.
[01/15/14] We are moving worship services and all activities to the Fellowship Hall until further notice.
[01/05/14] I know this is late in the game, but it is Love Feast Sunday. Please bring a covered dish and a guest.
[12/24/13] Just a reminder. Tonight we are having a candlelight service at 6-6:45 PM.
[12/19/13] Just a reminder for the Leadership Team. You know who you are. Sunday at 3 PM we will have a meeting. Please attend if at all possible. We will not meet for too long.
[12/14/13] I wanted to remind everyone that we are having our Church Christmas Party this evening at 6 PM. It is at Micheal's and Sara's house. Bring a "white elephant" gift to exchange.
[12/07/13] Due to poor road conditions, worship Services are cancelled for Sunday 12/8. Stay warm.
[11/30/13] Just a reminder Sunday is our monthly Love Feast. Hope to see everyone there!
[11/17/13] Don't forget to give thanks in everything!
This is a reminder for all about what a testimony consists of:
1. What your life was like before you became a Christian.
2. How you became a Christian. Be specific.
3. How becoming a Christian has changed your life.
Remember to try and keep your testimony under three minutes.
[10/06/13] Tomorrow is Love Feast. Bring food and a friend!
[09/22/13] Don't forget to bring your individually wrapped candy donations to church. We need lots of candy for the Fall Festival.
[09/13/13] This Sunday we will be back in Exodus. Get ready for the plagues! It might go viral! Just kidding! That was all I could come up with for plague humor. See you Sunday at 11 AM.
[08/29/13] Fall Festival is approaching very quickly! We need a lot of candy! This Sunday there will be a donation box in the back of the worship center. Please donate individually wrapped candy.
[08/22/13] Our Back to School Bash was a total success! Thank you to everyone who participated or helped!
[08/21/13] Our Back to School Bash is tonight from 6-8. We are giving away free school supplies, free food, and we have a bounce house for the kids! Everyone's invited!
[07/14/13] I just wanted to let everyone know that we are beginning to collect school supplies for Briery's back to school give away. Please bring pencils, crayons, paper, glue, scissors, etc. There will be a box set up in the rear of the sanctuary. Thanks!
[07/07/13] Don't forget tomorrow is Love Feast. Hopefully everyone has invited a neighbor. All are welcome, and bring a big appetite!
[06/19/13] Do you ever feel inadequate? This Sunday we will see how our adequacy is not reliant upon ourselves, but instead on who we represent.
[05/08/13] This week we will continue our "Road Trip" series as we explore Exodus 2. Oh yeah, bring your mom!
[04/25/12] Do you ever wonder if the advice you are getting from everyone is right? This is one of the many questions one asks when studying the Book of Job. Tonight at 7 PM we will explore this question and many others.
[03/23/12] What is the christian's response to Christ's sacrifice?
[03/02/12] Love Feast this week after church. Bring a friend and your appetite!
[02/08/12] This Wednesday we are continuing "More to Life." I hope to see everyone there.
