Please say prayers for Bob Downing who has gone into the hospital with covid this past week and will be in quarantine, his son said he's pretty weak but the worst is not being able to be with him.
Loved everything about being with my church family today.
WHOS YOUR DADDY? Literary Proposal from David R Nelson
Title: WHO’S YOUR DADDY? Subtitle: Bible-Based Stories Showing God As A Father For Us All.
Author: David R. Nelson Genre: Religious Fiction Pages: 208 Retail Price: 17.99 usd.
ISBN # 9781642790412
Tag line: Do you believe God is the heavenly Father and His love, care and provision for people is unwavering no matter the circumstances or how things appear? Who’s Your Daddy? Bible-Based Stories Showing God As A Father For Us All, is a collection of biblically-based stories that explores how characters in Scripture felt as they lived through their experiences. The stories also explore issues between father/son relationships and how understanding and healing can be achieved.
Biography: This is the first collection of writings by Christian writer, David Robert Nelson. Born in Hackney, England, he spent his earlier years in northeast London. As a young teen, David migrated to Jamaica with his family. It was in Jamaica that David accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour and lived for the best part of thirty years serving in different departments of local churches. Having received a call from the Lord on his life, he returned to the U.K. where he now resides in southwest London. David fulfilled a lifetime dream of attending Spurgeon’s College located in southeast London, where he successfully completed the ‘Equipped to Minister’ course for lay pastors and preachers.
David is a Customer Service Officer for Southwark Council, who sees his job of helping local residents as an extension of his ministry. Besides his local church, David is also an e-church member of the Potter’s House. Dallas Texas.
Sales Details: My book can be found in online bookstores such as BARNES & NOBLE in the U.S. and Canada, through my publisher, Morgan James Publishing-New York. I believe your organization combines Christian teaching, Wellbeing, and moral principles to support the growth and development of young people. This is one of the key reasons why I wrote this book, namely, to support mentorship and encourage the bonds between father/son relationships and introduce teens to the relationship they can find in God our Father.
Who’s Your Daddy? was first self-published through Westbow Press who were responsible for the internal editing and presentation. They found the content to be fresh and a book “every family should have as a part of their library.” When Morgan James decided to take the book to the next level in publishing, namely revised internal design, cover, and marketing, they saw the potential this book has for the international market-despite it coming from an unknown writer. I am asking for you to give my book a chance and have your team review it as a supplement to your youth ministry. The first story is a Nativity one which could be used as a marketing tool with Christmas approaching, but despite this, the book offers readers so much more.
I have a question... It came to me on the Sunday Service Huddle call.

Is an opinion a belief?

Through all of this year I find this question is coming back to me over and over.
Let's cut our pastors some slack: 17 Be responsive to your pastoral leaders. Listen to their counsel. They are alert to the condition of your lives and work under the strict supervision of God. Contribute to the joy of their leadership, not its drudgery. Why would you want to make things harder for them? (Hebrews 13:17)

Family, if you have time, please listen to my brother from Detroit:

21 years in ministry and Nat is still as passionate as ever about serving the Lord. But his heart goes out to the guy who has fallen and can’t find a way to get back up. “My heart is for the guy that has fallen off the horse and is trying to get back up,” Nat said. “That is what I want to be, the guy that is saying that ‘you can do this. Get back up. Don’t stay down. You can do this’. That is what I love to do.”
And that is exactly what he is doing.

As modeled in Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan, IBC is committed to serving our neighbors — nearby, in need, and around the world. We do this by equipping IBCers with tools and ideas for engagement, being open-handed with our building and resources, and partnering with visionaries both down the street and around the globe. #missionsatibc

Today is the 156th anniversary of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. As believers, we celebrate when justice comes for those who are oppressed. We continue to seek reconciliation and root out the evil of racism and prejudice where ever we find it. Celebrating Juneteenth commemorates the hardships endured by the ancestors of our Black brothers and sisters. We are united by the one love that binds us to each other and to God.
