St. Polycarp, Pray for us.
In this morning's daily reflection from Father Jeff, he spoke about his trip to Rome shortly after his Ordination to the Priesthood in 2015. Here are some of the pictures from his trip!
The first picture is of Father Jeff after saying Mass at the Altar of the Chair of St. Peter.
The second picture is of the Chair of St. Peter
The third picture is of the Cathedra at St. John Lateran
Fourth picture is of the dome and Cathedra at St. John Lateran
"There is no Grace in the act of not eating chocolate. The act is not sanctifying. But if your sacrifice, whatever it is, is intentional and becomes a window for deeper prayer and desire for God- that is the fruitfulness of Lent."- Father Jeff Bame
Prayer, transformation, and beauty: Candlelight Adoration continues tonight at 7 PM, accompanied by timeless choral music of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
Looking forward to our monthly Candlelight Adoration, tonight at 7 PM: scriptures; Gregorian chant; choral treasures by Issac, Morley, Farrant, Anerio and S.S. Wesley; and organ music by Bach and Mendelssohn. Prayer, transformation and beauty by candlelight!
Our Holy Hours are not live steamed, but there is plenty of room to socially distance in the Co-Cathedral.

"We are called to lead lives of thanksgiving and stewardship. A life of thanksgiving comes to its pinnacle in the celebration of the Eucharist, which itself means Thanksgiving. As we are joined to Christ, the high priest, and sacrificial victim who offers his entirety to the Father. Participating in the divine mysteries and being nourished by Christ's body and blood, we are called to make an offering in turn. And as disciples called to stewardship we offer our lives back to the Father in Thanksgiving through prayer, worship, and charity to our neighbor in service, time, and almsgiving." -Father Jeff Bame

FORMED Pick of the Week:
Bernadette
From Jean Delannoy, one of France's foremost filmmakers, comes this top quality feature film production of the story of St. Bernadette and the apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes. Actress Sydney Penny gives a beautiful performance as Bernadette, and the rest of the cast is equally superb. Also stars Roland Lesaffre and Michele Simonnet. It is highly recommended by the Vatican as a "sensitive portrayal of a very moving story that deserves a wide audience." Shot on location in France with outstanding cinematography and a beautiful music score, this is the film that was chosen to be shown daily at the shrine in Lourdes.
