Hi all! It's been so long! I'm not even sure if my message will post here or it needs to be approved by the admins first but just wanted to share that we are looking to donate a FREE office desk and ya'll came to my mind! 😊 It has a bit wear to it but it's still totally functional and has lots of storage space! Whether you're moving to a new dorm or apt and just need a temp desk or simply something to write on, this may be for you! DM if you're interested! I hope everyone had a great school year and is having lots of fun this new summer so far! 🌞❤️

Is there an event for the Parade tomorrow?
Just because we might be rained out doesn't mean we can't fellowship and stuff together! Here's some options in lieu of water day: Board games/Murder in the Dark/Mafia/Poker/whatever we can come up with Jam Sesh/Sing-a-long (if you've got an instrument, bring one! I'll bring my guitar if we're down for it.) Movie! I've got Netflix and a laptop with a DVD drive so we can hook up what we want to watch (church appropriate of course). Like the options below!
Hey guys! A group of us are going skating tomorrow night and would love for all of y'all to come!

Join us for Life Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9:15. This is where we gather together to grow and go with Jesus. We are a community of college students who follow Jesus and make Him known.

We desire to be a ministry that is impacting college students and college campuses by equipping and encouraging each other to Gather, Grow, and Go with Jesus. This is where we gather and grow together, centering around God's Word and seeing how it applies to our lives.

Mission: We are a College Ministry committed to the Great Commission, to GO and make disciples of all nations.

January who? 🧐
A new month is a good marker for change. If you didn’t meet your goals for spiritual growth, don’t put it off ‘til 2022! Start again this week with in-person or online fellowship and growth.

And if you’re tempted to think it’s ever too late to make a change, remember, “Because of the Lord’s faithful love, we do not perish, for his mercies never end. They are new every morning; Great is [His] faithfulness!” (Lamentations 3:22-23)

The Gathering

January 28th
Join us for a night of worship, scripture reading, and teaching!

THE GATHERING. THURSDAY. 7:30PM. FREE EMPANADAS AT 6:30PM.

☑️Community Group Kick-Off

Now it’s time to bring back The Grind, fellowship at the Gathering Semester Kick-Off, and relaunch Grow Groups!

Seeing your faces in-person and virtually are such sweet reminders of the fellowship we have through our Savior. If you want to be a part of that, it’s not too late take our survey (link in bio) and let us know you want to be involved 😌

Have a great week, see you soon! 😇

🚨 NEW SURVEY ALERT 🚨
You know the new semester can’t start without a good ol’ college survey. Link in bio!
.
And what survey would be complete without the chance to win a raffle👀
.
(P.S. if you’re a recent grad, we have some questions for you, too, so check it out 😏)

Although this week is pretty chill, take a look at what we’ve got cooking up towards the end of this month 🤩

If you haven’t heard, LBS resumed yesterday! We’re so thankful for those that joined us.

Stay tuned and grab your 2021 planners for information on launch events happening both online and in-person in the next month 😇

HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳
Kick things off in 2021 with a resolve to grow closer to God.
Whether it’s through making a commitment to the Daniel Fast or attending Church and LBS, we are here to support you! Let us know if you have any questions or prayer requests this week.

If you want to go into 2021 being actively reminded of your need for God in this new year, the participating in the Daniel Fast with your church family is a great opportunity to do so.

There’s still time to prep for the fast this week!
Or, you can choose any week in the month of January to participate 😇

Visit @houstonsfirst’s website for more deets, or check out the link in our bio. 🥗

Have a Happy (and safe) New Year!🥳

Although the college ministry won’t be officially hosting, consider organizing virtual parties to participate in the conference together. Find more info at @passion268!

“The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned” - Matthew 4:16

Jesus’ first coming gave hope to a dark world. As we celebrate Emmanuel this Christmas, may we trust that He is with us today (yes, even in 2020)

Merry Christmas, everyone!🎄

So thankful for the @gonowtexas team for coming to serve our great city. Please keep them in your prayers as the continue to serve!

Happy Monday! The holiday season slows down college ministry events, but not our desire for fellowship with you! We still love to see your (wisely masked) faces in-person and online.

The holidays back home can already be a doozie, and a pandemic sure doesn’t help.

That’s why we will continue to have online access to our 9:30am bible study and opportunities to watch church together at 11am!

Finally, if you haven’t already, DM is to join our discord so you can stay connected to the other students in the ministry.

We love you all so much! Continue to stay safe and fight to stay connected.

This semester is almost over, which means so is 2020 🙃 As you go over the last hurdle that is finals, remember the Good Shepherd of Psalm 23, who is with you even in the depths of your studies. If you have any prayer requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out! 😇

Peep the new time: 8pm! Let’s festively fellowship together (safely in person or online!)

This Monday after Thanksgiving is bringing a lot of changes for a many, but know that our prayers and support for you have not! Check out what we’ve got going on this week 😇

We hope you had a great break of gratitude! Check out the college ministry’s last event of the year! We hope to see you ✨safely✨ in person or online! 🎄📽

Enjoy your break and reflect with gratitude! Don’t fret if reflection takes longer and you have to look harder for things to be thankful for in 2020 🥴
