We must remember as we go about planning this new year... It is not wrong to plan, but to be open to God correcting your course is the way to go about it. While it is right to make plans as one who has been empowered for decision-making, we must remember that God is ultimately in charge and may change our course whenever he sees fit. In this way, we can live a wonderful life of working hard and doing the right things as we see what those things are, but then trusting him for all the outcomes.

As we approach the close of 2020, we just want to encourage you all to keep pushing. We’ve came this far only by faith, grace and mercy.
Continued blessings to all. Have a safe night and have a Happy New Year!

Tune in Live this Sunday evening, January 3, 2021 @ 6pm/cst as Spring Tabernacle Community Church presents “How To Live A Better Life” hosted by Apostle Leonard Jones with Guest Panelist Pastor Vernon Hubbard, Elder Chris Barnes and Elder Michael J. Smith.

It is only by trusting in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, that we can be reborn as a new-creation in Him, with a clean heart. It is only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and our identification with HIM that we can be declared righteous by God and have the righteousness of Christ imputed to us.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”
‭‭I John‬ ‭4:18‬

James 1:12
Blessed is a man who endures trials, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that He has promised to those who love Him.

We have a vicious enemy that is seeking to shipwreck our faith in the goodness of God and his strategy is to plant seeds of doubt in the mind of all believers, so that their life is not fruitful, nor honouring to the Lord Who bought them. But the trials and tribulations that are designed by the enemy to unsteady our faith, can be used as the catalyst to strengthen our trust in God if we will but persevere in His sufficient strength for this brings honour to our Father in heaven, and an eternal reward for those that patiently endure.
We do not have the capacity to stand firm in this evil day in our own strength, but Christ has promised that His grace is sufficient. And when we do hold fast to the precious promises of God and remain anchored to the truth of His holy Word, we will not be tossed about like a frothy wave in a sea of doubt but will be anchored to the truth of His sufficient grace.

Although this beautiful verse is relevant to us, in the Church age in its biblical context, this teaching was given to Israel. It is a passage that relates to the kingdom of God, which Christ came to set up, as promised in Old Testament Scriptures. Jesus was the Word made flesh, Who had come to earth. He was being heralded as the One sent from God to set up the prophesised Messianic kingdom, and the question in the heart of all Jewish people, at that time would be “do I qualify to enter the kingdom of heaven? Am I righteous enough to be part of God's kingdom?”

Thank You - Walter Hawkins & The Love Center Choir

With everything we’ve all been through this year.... we’re still here and blessed. You ought to be able to lift your hands and shout “Thank You Lord, For All You’ve Done For Me!!!”

Man was the pinnacle of God's creation.. but sin erected an immovable barrier between man and God.. for the wages of sin is death, which means eternal separation from the God Who created us. The eternal consequences of our sin are shocking.. but by contrast the goodness and grace of God are exhibited in the sacrificial death of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and accessed by faith.
Although God has set eternity in the heart of man.. sinful rebellion placed humanity under a terrible curse - leaving us in permanent bondage to sin; forever estranged from God and eternally enslaved by Satan. Man's sin infected our very nature causing us to know what was evil without the capacity to avoid it, and knowing what was good without the ability to do it.
But God in His goodness and grace determined that He would redeem mankind from this shocking state of slavery into which we had fallen as a totally free gift to all who would believe in the sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of His only begotten Son by faith. God not only purposed to pay the price for the sin of mankind so that our sin could be forgiven, but He chose to reestablish our fellowship with Himself and adopt us as His own children. He even imputed us with Christ's righteousness making us citizens of heaven and bestowing on each of us eternal life.

Not only does this passage give important information about the Day of the Lord, but encourages each member of Christ's body, with some reassuring information about the rapture of Church-age saints, which takes place at the end of this age, and which is called 'the Dispensation of the Grace of God' about which Paul teaches, in greater detail, in the book of Ephesians.

Have quiet time!

As post-cross believers, we are not required to become Jewish converts, in order to be saved. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ. However, we see from this verse, and many similar passages, that in order for Christ to fulfil the whole Law, this Gentile woman had to approach Him as Lord and Savior of the world, rather than Jesus, Son of David.
How important to read all scripture, in its correct historical context, in order to understand many of the anomalies, which can at times confuse us.

The most precious book in the whole, wide world is the Bible. It is the inspired Word of God, and its contents are profitable for godly living. Its benefits are manifold and valuable for sound teaching and righteous reproof. It is necessary for correction and training in righteousness, and the heart is the best place to store this heavenly treasure so that we might not sin against the Lord, Who bought us with His own precious blood.
The heart is that extensive personal chamber of our innermost mind. It is the place in which to store the Word of God. It is our heavenly treasure, through time and into eternity, where moth and rust will not spoil and thieves can never break in to steal it. Nothing is of greater importance, nothing has more dynamic power, and nothing compares with the eternal value of hiding God's Word in our hearts, meditating, ruminating and memorising its content.

'The Lord's Prayer', was given in response to that request, and has become somewhat of a set invocation for many religious denominations, and indeed it is lovely to reverently pray through the words that Christ first shared with His disciples. But care must be taken that familiarity with the beauty of these words do not cause them to become empty, meaningless phrases, which are repeated by rote, and become futile, pagan like babblings.

It is not necessarily the specific words that Christ was teaching His disciples to pray, but an approach towards praying that is important where an attitude of dependent faith, is adopted a trusting faith, which flows from a humble heart of grateful thanks and worshipful praise.

'The Lord's Prayer', was not representative of Christ's personal prayer life, but an example how sinners, saved by grace, should pray to our heavenly Father. It was not a scripted directive on what to pray, but a precious pattern on how to pray. It was not a series of words that had to be repeated by rote.. in some legalistic ritual, but a model framework on how to petition the sovereign Creator of the universe, Who has also become our heavenly Father and great Provider.. by faith.

Irrespective of their intellectual capacity, expansive knowledge, impressive qualification or amazing accomplishments, the unregenerate man cannot ever receive the things of God. The Spirit is seeking to convict the sinner of sin and righteousness and judgement so that he will turn from his unbelief to faith in Christ and be born anew.. but until that happens the one who is dead in their trespasses and sins is incapable of receiving spiritual truth, spiritual knowledge, spiritual wisdom and spiritual understanding for the things of the Spirit are spiritually discerned through the promptings and power on the indwelling Holy Spirit.

John 20:31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

We are exhorted by Christ's apostles to live by faith and not by sight. We are charged to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and we are counselled to believe on the One Whom God sent into the world to be the propitiation for our sins.

It is by God's grace that the Father gave His only begotten Son to pay the ransom price for our sin.. and it is by faith in His finished work on Calvary's cross, that Salvation:- the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting, becomes our eternal possession.
