[12/31/16]   Today as we say goodbye to 2016, let look at a nugget in 2nd Samuel 9.....
It recounts the life of Mephibosheth who was dropped at the age of 5, leaving him lame in his feet. At the time Mephibosheth was living in LoDebar (a barren land). But little did he know that his life was about to drastically change for the better, all because of who his daddy was; Mephibosheth's dad grew up with King David and he sought out Mephibosheth to bless him on account of his daddy; Jonathan.
Maybe you're in a spiritual LoDebar (a barren place) or maybe you're suffering from some tragic event like being dropped. Well let me let you in on a secret, because of who your Daddy is; the King is looking for you to bless you.
All you have to do is respond to the call of the King. Mephibosheth (vs. 6) after they told him the king was looking for him, came to the king. Don't miss what I just said... "Mephibosheth came to the king". Mephibosheth is lame in both his feet, but he came to the king.
No matter what dropped you this year, don't let anything prevent you from getting in the King's presence. If you have to crawl, catch a ride or slide on your belly, make sure you get to the King because He's ready to bless ya.
