Activities for today (January 18th) have been cancelled due to inclement weather. Word Fuel meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday night (January 22nd) at 6:30 pm (only 30 minutes).

Please take note of the following: Beginning on the first Sunday in February (February 2, 2020) we are changing the start times of our Early Morning Worship service and Sunday School. The Early Morning Worship will start at 8:00 am, making room for our general, couples, young adult and children & youth Sunday School classes (referred to as Word Fuel) from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. Our second morning worship service will remain at 10:30 am.

As the Lord says, “Give generously to the poor and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.” (Deut. 15:10 NIV). Let's give generously in our “Keeping Them Warm" drive. We are collecting NEW coats, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, and new or gently worn shoes/boots for men, women, boys and girls. Bins will be in the coat closet and downstairs for your donations. Please consider helping the needy this winter by contributing to this drive. We'll collect them now through January 22, 2020, and then again on February 1, 2020 - March 30, 2020. Point of contact is Rev. Lisa Howard at [email protected].

The first in this series is a little known carol written by Civil Rights and Theological Giant Dr. Wyatt T. Walker. It is titled "Is There Any Room In Your Heart For Jesus". Scripture is taken from Matthew 6:20-21 NIV.

A great way to start Thanksgiving Day. MPBC members participated in the 5K walk/run S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat) Turkey Trot in Washington, D.C. to fight hunger and homelessness. Our S.E.E. (Socio-Economic Empowerment) Ministry always at work.
