New Covenant Church of the Brethren

New Covenant Church of the Brethren

Kudos to Pastor Bill for calling everyone in the directory!
We are working on having the service live on Sunday if we can work out all of the technical issues.
I didn't know what was going on for Monday night, Christmas Eve, because I'm new around here and get rather mixed up with the schedule between Ithiel and Ocoee Oaks and other groups; but I'm glad I accidentally came across the tunes coming forth out of the Chapel this Christmas Eve! The Monday night worshippers sing with "heartfelt joy" and it was really different to me, even from several yards away by the Big Hall: "hip", yet also reverent. What a fine warmth it offered me, a guy who just recently lost 95% of all my material worth in a court battle. Camp Ithiel is synonymous with spontaneous little miracles!
Do you have a Christmas Eve service?
"We can not change God's mind about loving us...Leap away from the darkness of sin into the light of a life in Christ" Nancy Knepper, March 11th morning message.

The New Covenant Church of the Brethren was started in September 1987 on the grounds of Camp Ithiel in Gotha, Florida.

Mission: New Covenant Church of the Brethren exists to lead people to covenant relationship with God.

[04/08/20]   This Thursday is MaundyThursday, the night when Jesus washed the disciples feet and shared Holy Communion. We would like to invite you to join us here on the page at 7:00 PM for this service. In order to prepare, I would suggest two things:

1. Read John 13:1-20
2. Have some bread and juice ready to share when it comes that time in the service.

We look forward to you being a part of this special night. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me.

Pastor Bill

Welcome to Palm Sunday at New Covenant Church of the Brethren.

Hope you can join us for Palm Sunday this morning at 10:45.

I'll Join the Rocks

Here is a video to preface this Sunday's celebration of Palm Sunday.

[04/02/20]   As we approach this day we call Palm Sunday, I know many are frustrated because you will not be able to be in church and enjoy all the pageantry that comes with this special day. Here is a suggestion: Hang a palm branch on your door to remind yourself and those passing by what this day is all about. I know here in Florida we won't have to look hard for a palm branch but I hope the rest of you will find some way to celebrate even if it means having your kids or grandkids cutting out palms from construction paper. Blessings!

[04/01/20]   Due to extended stay at home orders for Orange County, all corporate worship services and other church events have been canceled. Pastor Bill will continue online services here on our page. We are working on a way to observe Love Feast online as well. Please keep checking here to get further updates.

[04/01/20]   The ministry of New Covenant Church of the Brethren is continuing and your continued tithe would be a blessing. Here's how:
1. The classic: write a check payable to New Covenant Church of the Brethren and mail it to P.O. Box 83, Gotha, FL 34734
2. The modern: use your online bill pay to send a check payable to New Covenant Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 83, Gotha, FL 34734. With this method, you may be able to set up a payment schedule (monthly or weekly).
3. The Hi Tech: use your Paypal account to send gifts to the church using the congregation's account name: [email protected]
Be sure to mark it "send to a friend" to avoid the church having to pay a fee to receive. Note: for this method, you need to set up a paypal account.

Welcome to week 2 of isolated worship.

[03/29/20]   While visiting our page for worship today, let's connect with each other. Share prayer requests, updates on how you are doing and how you are spending your time, or an uplifting message. Let's make this a fellowship time too!

[01/28/20]   During the month of February we are collecting funds for Church World Service blankets. Each blanket costs $5. Let's do a world of good!

Our group from our church, Camp Ithiel volunteers, Boy Scouts, friends and friends from Chain of Love Ministries at the Ocoee MLK Jr parade today.

Everyone is invited to our Christmas Eve Service at 7:00 pm.

[11/08/19]   Please continue your prayers for Berwyn Oltman. He has been admitted, but the doctor says he is going to be OK.

[11/08/19]   Please pray for Berwyn Oltman. He is in Health Central ER.

Peacemakers | Part 2

"First take the log out of your own eye..." (Matthew 7:5). Jesus calls His disciples to criticism that's more self-evaluative. Marcus offers one question that can change the game when it comes to conflict in our relationships. Listen to Part 2 of our PEACEMAKERS sermon series at the link below. The world has its own ways of handling conflict. So too do God's people. In the Kingdom of God, Christians are called to make peace in times of conflict and opposition. In this series we will discover
