Kathy and Frank's Story on Fox 4 Sunday News.
Hey folks. I'm putting my sermons into a weekly podcast called "Grace on a Mission." I'd love it if you would go subscribe and give listen to one. Have a great week!
#NowPlaying
All creatures get along at Gloria Dei!
Melody Dodd was a former member—you may remember her for her music.
Esther Circle Christmas Party...good food and friends!
The Joyful Singers did an amazing job at their Musical R***e! Here they are singing one of their favorites, “This is Me” under the direction of Allison Burns
I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see all the new therapy animals going out into the world! Today all these dogs, a cat, and a bunny were commissioned as therapy animals! They are all such beautiful creatures and they are already bringing so much joy to everyone they meet!
Once again, the music was awesome and inspiring. Thank you God for bringing me to Gloria Dei 11 years ago Christmas eve.
Today's clinic was a success and the weather was exceptional!

Where Do We Go? | Gloria Dei Lutheran Church - Garland, TX

Peter asks, "Jesus, where do we go?" in this weeks gospel reading. It is an important question isn't it. After Jesus says that they must eat his flesh and drink his blood, many walk away. I mean, these are kind of strange words aren't they? No Jesus isn't asking us to be cannibals. He is inviting them to receive life and salvation from him....

Built on Grace | Gloria Dei Lutheran Church - Garland, TX

How are our lives built on grace? Also, how have you seen God's grace at work in your life? In this week's gospel reading we see Jesus speaking to the people of the community. The scribes question who he says he is and even call him Satan. His family even wants to "restrain" him because people are saying, "he has gone out of his mind." Wow, even his own family is worried he is saying too much....

Dear God, with deep gratitude we thank you for those who guard, guide and serve our nation. Thank you for those who gave the last full measure of devotion by sacrificing their lives to secure and safeguard our liberties. Bless their memory, as well as their family, friends and community who now enjoy the freedom for which they died. This we pray in the name of Jesus, even as we plead for peace and justice in our time. Amen.
