Mission: The Protestant Women of the Chapel is a resource network that unites, trains and encourages women in the military chapel community in their spiritual growth. PWOC is God empowered, Christ centered and Spirit led; exists as an extension of the chapel; encourages women to grow spiritually within the body of Christ through prayer, the study of God's Word, worship and service; is sponsored by the Fort Bragg Garrison Chaplain. PWOC has four aims: * to LEAD women to accept Christ as personal Savior and Lord; * to TEACH women the history, beliefs, and programs of the church, all built on a solid foundation of worship and Bible study; * to DEVELOP in women the skills of prayer, evangelism, stewardship, and social service, against a background of personal spiritual development; * to INVOLVE women in the work of the Chapel, in keeping with their abilities and interests.

Wife of a Soldier: A Journey of Faith

How often do you get a study taught by the author?!?!

Wife of a Soldier, A Journey of Faith follows the life of an Army wife as she supported her Soldier for twenty-nine years of active duty service. While telling the story of their lives, each chapter addresses the many blessings and challenges unique to the military lifestyle. The call on her life in support of her soldier and family is shared throughout her book. She writes of her experiences as a Soldier’s spouse and mother. Her hope is to encourage other military spouses by using the lessons she learned, hoping to give them a new perspective as they face the difficult challenges faced by today’s military family. Her hope is that God’s faithfulness will shine through her story and encourage others to seek the strength and courage that only God can give.

Spring Bible Study Teaser #3!

The Unexplainable Church

Finally, a Bible study that goes deep...

Frustrated with the watered-down, “light” Bible studies that are all too common, Erica Wiggenhorn wanted to write a study that went deep. She wanted to take readers verse-by-verse through a whole book of the Bible, offering theological and historical comments in each lesson while remaining practical and relational.

The Unexplainable Church is the result, and it offers readers two great takeaways. It will teach them by example how to study the Bible deeply, and it will challenge them toward critical life-change: submitting their will to the mission of Jesus, who gives life its fullest meaning.

The message of The Unexplainable Church is that the early church didn’t grow because Peter and Paul were so amazing, but because average people were transformed by God and brought together in His work. This 10-week inductive study of Acts 13–28 will sweep readers into the great drama of the Kingdom, inspiring them to live together in the power of the Spirit and accomplish what could never be done alone.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Boundaries by Henry Cloud

Are you in control of your life?

Christians often focus so much on being loving and giving that they forget their own limits and limitations. Have you ever found yourself wondering: Can I set limits and still be a loving person? How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money? Why do I feel guilty when I consider setting boundaries?

In this Gold Medallion Award-winning book and New York Times bestseller, Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend give you biblically based answers to these and other tough questions, and show you how to set healthy boundaries with your parents, spouses, children, friends, coworkers, and even with yourself. This updated and expanded edition of Boundaries specifically addresses boundaries in the digital age, online dating, single parenting, and the workplace.

Boundaries are personal property lines that define who you are and who you are not, and influence all areas of your life - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

Unpacking ten laws of boundaries, Drs. Cloud and Townsend show you how to bring new health to your relationships. You'll discover firsthand how sound boundaries give you the freedom to walk as the loving, giving, fulfilled individual God created you to be.

Ladies, we had a couple cancellations recently and at this time have a few open slots for the PWOC married couples’ retreat. If you and your hubby are interested, please respond back to me here or on my email at [email protected]
Happy Thanksgiving!!😊🦃

Spring Bible Study Teaser! Sign-Ups begin December 3rd.

Daniel by Beth Moore

The prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures—to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats. Today, believers face many of the same trials. This study examines how believers can develop integrity in our modern-day Babylon, and then explores prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ.

Thank you so much to all the amazing people that joined us today at All American Chapel to help pack shoe boxes for children! You are making a global impact!

On 3 January we are hosting a spa retreat for our girls at Fort Bragg Youth of the Chapel. They are girls in our community, grades 6 through 12 and don’t let their age fool you! They are already wrestling intensely with lies and pressure about how they should look and spend their time. Our aim is to give them an evening of tangible loving on with nail painting, and face masks and soup and loads of chocolate but more importantly to give them weapons of truth. Truth that they are wondrously and beautifully made. Truth that they don’t have to stay up all night doing homework—they need sleep! Truth that what we put into our physical bodies and into our hearts and minds impacts our soul. In a nut shell, we want them to know that self-care impacts their spiritual health and that they are capable of learning to care for their physical and spiritual self.

So, we are inviting you ladies at PWOC to “love a younger sister” and sponsor 20 spa bags. The items add up to about $10 and include a nail polish, paper face mask, hand cream and chocolate bar. We are asking that you also write a short note about one of your favorite ways to care for your body and soul.

Mostly, however, we are asking for prayer! This is spiritual warfare, ladies! These girls are starting now on a journey where they will be waylaid with lies from the Devil and the world about their worth—war that you all have already been waging for years and decades. That is why we wanted PWOC to sponsor bags, we wanted tangible prayers in the form of glittery nail polish to get in the hands of these precious ones. We also wanted to ask all of you to pray whether you sponsor a bag or not. Pray now for the teachers as they prepare. Pray that the girls will already be feeling their need. Pray on 3 January that distractions will be stopped up and hearts opened wide so that each girl comes out with at least one more weapon.

If you are interested, please talk to Holly Anne Smith and sign up for a bag. All items are due 17 DEC.

Join us for our December Program Day!

We will be having a Crazy Christmas Sweater Contest! We can't wait to see what all you super creative ladies can come up with! :)

Then, after lunch join us to go Christmas Caroling at Womack Hospital immediately following the lunch.

Also, PWOC and Fort Bragg Youth of the Chapel are joining forces to love on a younger woman! We are looking for 20 women to sponsor a bag! The bags will be due 17 DEC.
