Mission: The Protestant Women of the Chapel is a resource network that unites, trains and encourages women in the military chapel community in their spiritual growth. PWOC is God empowered, Christ centered and Spirit led; exists as an extension of the chapel; encourages women to grow spiritually within the body of Christ through prayer, the study of God's Word, worship and service; is sponsored by the Fort Bragg Garrison Chaplain. PWOC has four aims: * to LEAD women to accept Christ as personal Savior and Lord; * to TEACH women the history, beliefs, and programs of the church, all built on a solid foundation of worship and Bible study; * to DEVELOP in women the skills of prayer, evangelism, stewardship, and social service, against a background of personal spiritual development; * to INVOLVE women in the work of the Chapel, in keeping with their abilities and interests.

[09/21/20]   One of the greatest theologians, Jonathan Edwards said, “let it be our first love to enter into an everlasting friendship with Christ that never shall be broken.”

Did you know that Jesus wants to be friends with you? What does friendship with Jesus look like? Learn from an example of a beautiful friendship that existed between Jesus and two sisters. Then, learn 3 ways we can cultivate a beautiful friendship with our Holy and Righteous Savior, Jesus.

Happy Fall Y’all!

What is PWOC going to look like this year?

[09/04/20]   One of our PWOC sisters has some great words of truth that she has to share!!
Words by: Katherine Patterson
Being a military spouse makes friends is hard. As soon as you find a friend...they leave and while technology has made it easier to maintain that relationship nothing beats out a coffee date out. Or...you move and you find yourself in a new place...alone.
Storytime. I did not want to attend PWOC when we first came back to Bragg. I didn't want to be the odd man out. But I made myself go because I was no longer working, I had a baby at home and I KNOW myself. I knew I'd sit at home, depressed and leaning too hard on my husband to be ALL of my companionship. I knew I'd throw myself a pity party all day everyday. That wasn't healthy for myself or my family.

Ladies, harsh truth, if you are lonely you don't have to be. Accept that invite even if you don't really know anyone. When you say you are interested or accept that invite DON'T let doubt, worry, and anxiety keep you from attending. The harsher truth is if you flake enough...you are going to stop getting those invites (trust me, I know) Put yourself out there and host. To have good friends you have to BE a good friend. Take it from someone who is still learning how to be a good friend.

A Lot like workouts, the only plans I regret are the ones I cancel or skip because I wasn't feeling social. Now when I'm feeling like I don't want to be social, when I'm trying to hide away, I realize thats when I need my sisters the most 🥰
So anyways PWOC Fall Kickoff is Tuesday. There are more ways than ever to study and fellowship (and make friends) than any other year. Adulthood doesn't mean you have fo be lonely. Military life doesn't mean you have to be lonely. Covid doesn't mean you have to be lonely. You are the only one holding you back.

Childcare Fall 2020 What does it look like?

CHILDREN:
We know this year we can not have childcare so what does that mean? Does that mean I can not come because I have younger children? Check out the video to see what childcare will look like!

0-4 years stay with mom/guardian but we will have activity bags.

5-11 years will have rooms available to log in to do virtual school or do homeschool work (Masks are still needed and no snacks will be served). Rooms 123 or 109

12-18 year olds will be doing a study on Matthew at the Youth Annex (down the street behind Division Memorial Chapel)
