The last sermon series brought many to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. The last three weeks we saw 21 of our friends make that decision! Glory be to God!!
Satan is busy because of the work God is doing in our homeless community. Satan needs to know we have no room for him!! GO AWAY SATAN!!
With that being said, one of our ladies that serve faithfully, just lost her son to suicide. Our hearts are heavy for our sister. Please keep Earlene and her family in prayers.
[01/20/19] On Friday we had to say goodbye to our dear brother, Joe who was in a tragic accident. Joe was loved by many, and when Christ became a part of him, he couldn’t wait to share! Our brother is now out of a wheelchair, and no doubt walking and dancing around with others that have gone on before him. Please pray for our church family as so many are hurting and trying to make sense of it all. Heaven looks a little sweeter brother Joe. We love and miss you so much already.
[01/19/19] Today we lost one of our family. Joe always had a smile on his face and just as sweet as he could be. Those blue eyes could pierce right through your soul...God decided to bring Joe home today. Our hearts are heavy, our tears are endless. Praise God we know he is now with our Father and I’m sure walking, maybe even dancing with loved ones that have gone on before him. Please pray for his sons and his family. Pray that God will use this for His glory. Joe, we love and miss you already but we know we’ll see you soon my brother! ♥️♥️
[01/14/18] Last night WAS AWESOME! We had a full house with standing room only. Lives are being changed each and every week. Last night we had 10 salvations. Will y'all join us in praying that God will supply us with a larger building?! He can move mountains, we can trust Him to take care of our needs!
1 Peter 2 the Apostle Peter shares some words of encouragement and exhortation to a group of believers. “11 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 12 Live such good you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. 13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. 17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.”
The statement, “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.” is an exhortation to live according to a different standard than what most of the world does. You don’t have to spend much time defending yourself if your life screams out the love of Jesus to everyone around you. Let your life, as it reflects Jesus, speak for who you are. As James said, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” Too many people talk a good game, but living it out is a testimony with power.
This Saturday at the Dream Center Microsite we will be demonstrating that love. If you are interested in serving please be onsite NLT 3:30 so you can be assigned a position. We are serving pizza and salad for dinner this week so we only need people to provide salad. Looking for four people to each provide salad for 25 people. If you can help with the salad please let me know by emailing me at [email protected] as soon as you are able to commit. Just a reminder that if you can contribute a winter coat, hat, gloves, a tent (2-3 person), or socks, etc. please feel free bring those by on Saturday.
Well, with it being the first Saturday after the 1st of the month..our numbers reflected just that. Numbers were down but 4 people still had a divine appointment with Almighty God. So blessed and honored to be a part of the Father when He is at work in our homeless community.
We ask for continued prayers that we continue to join God in His work. More of Him and less of me! ❤
What a night! I think this broke our record....no chairs left, no room left in the inn! What a problem to have! It is AWESOME to see God work His miracles. I have to admit I was praying He would stretch our "5 loaves and 2 fish"!
Prayer requests....one of our worship gals lost her brother this week. One of our ladies is in the hospital..not sure the circumstance but God knows. A first time visitor is due in 5 days... 2 lives forever changed tonight, Glory be to the Father.
