To the Mount Sinai Baptist Church Family, Grace, peace, and Love to you family in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am sending you this letter from me and Tara for the time has come for us to move to our next assignment in Augusta Georgia. It is always sad to say good bye but it is particularly hard this time due to the current world climate and the fact the Mount Sinai Family will always hold a special place in our hearts. The Bible reminds us to be a friend, you must first show yourself friendly. From the time we first visited what drew us to you and won us over was the warmth, friendliness, and love you showed us from day one. I want to state that is one of your most adorable strengths and I encourage you to continue to allow the light and love of Jesus to permeate throughout the congregation and the community. You welcomed us in to your family and made us feel like we grew up with you. I pray that you remember this effect and continue to grow and manifest this as you reach beyond the walls of this church family. Continue to teach, preach, and exemplify that Jesus is Lord, and God loves you, period! I have had the pleasure of knowing several of you on a personal level and I am excited and appreciative of the spiritual growth and prosperity that God has blessed you with inspite of how the world has tried to go against you. You continued to be the Christian example and defy the odds against you and because you remained faithful and focused on Him, you are now receiving your blessing and I rejoice in your joy of the Lord (without saying names you know who you are). Some of you are still going through your valley experience but I am encouraged and convinced that God will bring you out and not just bring you out but in the eyes of the community bless you exceedingly, abundantly, and above all so that they will know that it was nobody but Jesus that made the difference in your life! Continue to be strong and courageous so that when they see you overcome they will then understand the glory to your story, that God makes the difference in your life! I want to thank the deacons, ministers, and leaders of the church for allowing me to use what little gifts and talents I have to grow in grace with you. Your words of encouragement have been monumental during my times of fear, frustration, and failure. You will never know how much you encouraged me and my family and how I drew from your testimonies, life examples, and love shown to us. I, Tara, and JT will miss our interaction, fellowship, and worship with each of you and we will take these memories with us and hold them dear. I pray that something we said or did has been a blessing to all of you in one shape or another. Last I pray for my Pastor, Dr. Jamale Johnson and First Lady Kim Johnson. You have been a beacon of encouragement, enlightenment, and fellowship to me and Tara since I sat down and talked to you about joining this church family. Thank you for all you both have done for us! I pray that God continues to drench and saturate you in his mercy, grace and unmatched blessings. Dr. Johnson, you truly are a great and noble Pastor and man of God with a creative, loving and devoted wife. Our prayer is that you both continue to prosper individually and collectively as your soul prospers in Christ. Church, I admonish you and encourage you to lift your Pastor AND First Lady up with love, protection, encouragement, and support as they help incubate and give birth to the vision of the Mount Sinai Church. Continue to build them up and build each other up with love and learn to use your gifts that God has given each of you to better yourselves, bless his people and glorify his name. I leave you with my final exaltation from Philippians 4:4-8 and encourage you to strive to achieve this vision everyday: Paul says to “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is always near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding and comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute or report, if there is any virtue or excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think and dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you and keep you always. May God’s eternal light, love, and blessing be yours. This is not a good bye but simply a see you later for I look forward to the great things God has in store for the Mount Sinai Family as you continue to reflect the light of Jesus Christ. Be Blessed!!! Your in Christ, Julius, Tara, JT (Julius Jr)

Some Encouragement in this Time MT Sinai Family, All grace, peace, and love to you my brothers and sisters in the name of Jesus Christ who is our Friend, our Redeemer, and our Savior. It is 5:30 am and I am up spending some meditation time with thoughts going through my mind, praying for you and your families during this time of fear and uncertainty. I first want to encourage you to not be weary in well doing, but through everything by prayer and supplication continue to make your request known to God. For it is my prayer for you that the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus. I know this is a scary and hard time for many and a stressful time for some concerning the COVID-19 epidemic. Please remember that Jesus has promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us (Heb 13:5). God reminds us in II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and heal the land.” I encourage you to pray for your families, pray for our church, pray for this city and state, and then pray for this nation and our world. For us to seek God’s forgiveness of our sins and to receive His healing. Truly the prayers of the righteous avails much (Jam 5:16) and so when we continue to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not unto our own understanding but in all our ways seek and acknowledge Him (Prov 3:5) He will direct us through this difficult and deadly time. So let not your hearts be troubled. Continue to believe that Jesus will help us through this time and He will give us the victory. I ask that you not look at this time as being locked in or confined to your houses, but look at this time as an opportunity to work on what Pastor Johnson is teaching, your “Sticky Relationships”. a. Make time for yourself and come closer to God so God can become closer to you (Jam4:8) b. Take this time to get closer to your spouse (Eph 5:25-33) c. Spend time with your children through play or conversation (Deut 6:6-9) d. Reach out and contact those family members you have not talked to in a long while (Col 3:13-14) e. Make the time to listen to some joyful music to encourage your mind, body, and spirit (Eph 5:18-20) I want to thank Pastor Jamale Johnson for his spiritual sensitivity and common sense and care for the people. He is truly preaching in season and out of season. I thank him for using his gifts and demonstrating the attributes of a good shepherd and leader. I pray for his continued health and fidelity to the word as he maneuvers us through these dangerous waters. Let me be transparent. Based on the meetings I am sitting in to help provide support and response to this epidemic things will get worse before they get better so please follow the guidelines from our health professionals. Contact and watch over our seniors and children alike. Inspite what I have seen I still believe God WILL get us through this and this too shall pass. Continue to be strong in the Lord and in the power and love of His might. Tara and I love you all and pray for the time real soon when we WILL worship together again in spirit and in truth. Be encouraged, stay safe, and rejoice in the Lord of Host who has healing in the hem of his garment. Rejoice always and again I say Rejoice! We will make it through alright!!! Yours in Christ, Julius Johnson
