Courtyard welcomed three new families in the past 30 days, one from America, one from Guyana, and one from Jamaica! We treasure the diversity God has brought to us because it helps us experience God in new ways. Join us Sunday as we explore Acts 26, "Experiencing God." One God, the same yesterday, today, and forever, who invites us into unique relationships. We'd love to hear about your experience with God!
Sunday school for all ages: 9:30 a.m.

Unlike many churches, Courtyard does not publically stream it's worship service (though we do in our private page for friends and Family). This allows our Sunday time to be honest with confession and prayer; personalized to the members of our Family; and brave space to mature in our gifts and in love for each other. The best way to get to know what we're about is the visit in person.

We also understand that it can be easier to visit a new place after you've "peeked inside" virtually. So sometimes we post a Sunday gathering here for you to get a feel of who we are.

Bear in mind this is just one Sunday, and every Sunday is different at Courtyard! Different people lead singing with different styles of songs. Sometimes a capella, sometimes not. Different people are in town, deployed, or visiting, streaming, or worshipping in person. You may meet 40 friends, or 70. Tiffany preaches often, but definitely not every week because the Gospel through many voices reveals God to us. What is consistent is that we are a family, striving to authentically join deeper together through the Word - written and living - to bear witness to Christ in the world.

You are welcome to join us anytime we meet.

Ecclesiastes Class: Reminder! Read the first 6 chapters, and come to class with questions and insights. We'll discuss them Sunday. Last Sunday's intro class to Ecclesiastes covered who wrote the book, what "hevel" means, who Qohelet is, how the Jews use Ecclesiastes as a part of the 5 megillot and initial feelings about this fascinating book that barely made the cut into the canon. We'll continue the conversation Sunday at 9:30 at Courtyard.

This season is about pouring out self so Christ can live in us. When you hunger tomorrow, lift up a prayer for the global church.
Ideas to pray for:
1. Vision to re-imagine post-Covid church
2. Growth, deep and wide
3. Wisdom to interpret scripture in ways that uphold the Greatest Command
4. Strength in persecution
5. Unity in witness

Our journey through Acts has been life-changing!
We've done a mini-series in Acts 15 with the Jerusalem Council.
Week 1: Who is Joined Together?
Week 2: How Do We Move Together to Radiate a Revolutionary Witness?
Week 3: Troubleshooting When We Can't Get Moving

Join us in the building Sunday (on 2 floors) for Week 3. Rather than a “sermon” on one message from one passage of Scripture, the “sermon” will be more of a class on “how to get unstuck” with a brother or sister in the church so that our witness is Christ's love, commitment, creativity, and shalom.

We will explore 6 ways to get moving again, as revealed in 6 situations in the early church after Peter and Paul leave the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15 and work to live out its message among real people in diverse, real church situations.

Moving Together as One Body is difficult. It's messy. It's easier to cut and run. But our witness demands another way.

We have been moved deeply by the lessons from Acts 15. We hope you are following along! Luke is reminding us that we are joined together and teaching us how to move together across all of our differences. Ernest's (our Prayer Minister) words from this last Sunday's Call to Worship are a perfect reminder of those lessons. https://72465631-340833827842870959.preview.editmysite.com/uploads/7/2/4/6/72465631/call_-_ernest_022121.mp4
