Today was our Happy Birthday Jesus Party! The kids all joined in the festive celebration and worshipped the King born in Bethlehem. Such a wonderful way to start the Christmas week!! Thank you to the amazing Little River staff, who worked happily to make today a day full of cheer and memories!! - Pastor Darrell
Today our kids learned about JOY! The angel said, “Behold I bring you good tidings of great joy!” The reason Jesus Christ was coming to Earth as a baby in the first place, was to bring JOY to a world desperate for a savior! But the joy of the salvation Jesus brought is more than a feeling. It is an understanding, a position. Joy is a place we find ourselves in when we praise the God who is with us and IN us—the promised messiah!!! Christmas is coming and we need to share the good news of great joy!!!

Hi Kids and Family:
Today’s message was on being the light to the world from Mark 5:13-20. We are called to “shine” God’s light to others in the world, but that light does not come from our own power or ability. We do not give out of our own “fabulous self”. We shine the light of Christ by first being filled with it ourselves. We demonstrated this today with a light we put in a closed pumpkin. We then drilled holes in it to let the light shine out. Because of Jesus love, life, and death, we have the opportunity to let the light of Jesus shine when we love and serve Him and love and care for others. Our glow sticks we took home is a reminder that every day we are to shine bright for the world to see Jesus through us!!
