FROM THE APOSTLE'S HEART: Sensitivity In the Spirit

Are we as leaders in the church being sensitive to the Spirit of God? Are we fully aware of the atmosphere around us and the needs of the people or are we simply determined to release what we have already prepared?

Could it be that people are not receptive to the message being delivered because it's only appealing to the cultural, regional or personal experiences that you can identify with? Are we ministering to people with familiar spirits that don't push or challenge us to go deeper in the things of God? Are we truly listening to God for our next assignment or simply chasing an honorarium? Are we tickling flesh and twinkling toes or truly edifying believers and bringing forth the miracles, signs and wonders or God?

If you're accustomed to watering down the message or sugar coating the chastisement to keep bodies in the seats then you are NOT loving them to the truth! If leadership is stuck in our own mindset or even rigidly set on a program, then you leave no room for God to move. When we tie God's hands we are inviting the enemy in to wreak havoc from the pulpit to the door. Love covers a multitude of sins and we must begin loving on each other in spirit and in truth. As the spirit gives utterance, so we should speak!

The kingdom of God is inclusive and so should the church and our ministries be. When we show ourselves friendly and genuinely open our doors to fellowship with those who may look, talk, walk and think differently than us, it is then that iron can truly sharpen iron and we can all grow. For God has declared that we are all the same in His eyes...one body fitting joined together!

Leviticus 19:34, Proverbs 27:17, Mark 12:31, Amos 9:7, Romans 3:22-24, Galatians 3:28, Luke 12:47-48, Matthew 6:33, 1 Peter 4:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:42,
1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 10:25, 1 John 1:7, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 and 1 Peter 3:8.

Remember LoveFaces, if it's NOT of God, for God, by God, from God or about God, it is NOTHING and therefore should not vex your spirit, harm your flesh or alter your circumstances in any way because that's NOT the will of the Father concerning you!

VERSE OF THE DAY: 2 Kings 3:16-18 (NIV)

"And he said, “This is what the Lord says: I will fill this valley with pools of water. For this is what the Lord says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord; he will also deliver Moab into your hands."

VERSE OF THE DAY: Ezekiel 47:8-12 (NIV)

"He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea. But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”
