" Where a love for learning takes flight." “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 The Little Eagles Preschool program is designed to meet the developmental and academic needs of each child. Experiences are provided that enrich, enhance, and challenge each child’s spiritual, cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative development. Within the school’s daily schedule each child has the opportunity to create, explore the environment, learn problem solving, personal interaction skills, and learn concepts through first hand experiences. Children develop positive self-concepts through the balance of self and teacher directed activities. Opportunities for solitary, parallel, and cooperative play as well as group activities are offered throughout the day. Teachers serve as positive role models, and provide care that is loving, supportive, nurturing, warm, and responsive to each child’s individual needs. We respect parents/guardians as the primary and most important provider of care and nurturing, and we believe that parents/guardians, teachers and administrators are partners in their child’s care and education. We believe that children are never too young to begin developing a Biblical worldview. This worldview training is an integral part of the curriculum. A Bible story and prayer time is conducted each morning. Pledges to the American Flag, Christian Flag, and the Bible are recited. Following morning circle time and Bible, children are introduced to the fundamentals of reading and math through center based activities, and through the use of the Abeka curriculum, which is a Bible based curriculum. Reading and Math concepts are integrated into the areas of music, art, science and computers. Recess and lunch follow center time. Quiet time takes place each afternoon. A variety of field trips and special activities are integrated into the curriculum. (See gallery for photo viewing.)
