Food for thought..... YOU TOOK MY PARKING SPACE AT CHURCH This should wake us up. One day, a man went to visit a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, " I always park there! You took my place!" The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing. After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, " That's where I always sit! You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still he said nothing. Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, "I took your place." When you read this, say a prayer, maybe just maybe, we can get the world to start thinking of who took our place..
Wonderful day today, enjoying Water day at VBS with our grandchildren. Thanks to all who made it a success!

Loving Christ, serving Christ's people One of the marks of the true church is its Worship. We, at Westminster, seek to worship God in ways that are meaningful to the members and visitors of the congregation.

Our Sunday morning service is a blend of traditional and contemporary elements. The music is traditional as the congregation sings Amazing Grace and contemporary when we share in the joy of voices praising God in the lively Shine, Jesus Shine. Following a Message for Children, our younger members leave for a Children's Church program where they enjoy crafts, music, and Bible study. The sharing of prayer concerns is also a vital part of our worship experience as we celebrate the connected nature of the body of Christ. Communion is celebrated eight to ten times a year, with special observances on Maundy Thursday (the Thursday before Easter) and Christmas Eve. Ours is a congregation that laughs together, cries together, prays together, listens together and worships together as a witness to our faithfulness to Jesus Christ.

Mission: The mission of Westminster Presbyterian Church is to be a joyful community of faith in which persons are nurtured, challenged, and comforted, and through which Christ takes form in this community and the world at large.

"Re-Booting Worship" with Pastor Rick

Folks, please take 8 minutes to watch this video. Here's our plan for returning to worship- of course, it's subject to tweaking as needed, as time goes on. There's always risk, but it must be weighed against benefit. I believe we may be in for a long haul, and we've got to find a way to live with this new reality. Be blessed!

7/12/2020. Sunday morning worship

[07/11/20]   Please remember Rick and Kelly Melter and their family in the loss of Kelly’s “baby” brother, Brian Reams, of Ashtabula, Ohio. Brian, 49, died this week from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Also, Kelly asks that we remember their friends Neale and Missy Huston, who were badly injured in a separate motorcycle accident, and were “neighbors” while her brother was in ICU. May God surround these hurting families with His love!

A Sower Came from Ancient Hills

"A Sower Came from Ancient Hills" is one of our hymns for tomorrow. Thought you might want to practice between now and then. : ) It's a lovely hymn. Our text is from Matthew 13- The Parable of the Sower.
