Pastor Matthew Bryant, the Reilly Road campus pastor, has been in communication with the command of the Reception Company on Ft. Bragg. They are still in-processing 100-150 soldiers every day!
Currently they have four soldiers under quarantine because of where they arrived from.
In an effort to ease some of the quarantine stress for these individuals and to show them some love, its the desire of the Military Ministry to put together a "quarantine basket" for the ones stuck in barracks.
Below you will find a link to sign up for items that would be good to have in the basket. In addition to these items we will be including a bible and information on Village Baptist Church.
If you are able to donate, please drop off at the Reilly Road campus (555 North Reilly Road) Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm. To make other arrangements please contact Kacy Keplinger at 910.920.3991.
We would like to have the baskets ready to be delivered by April 24.

Welcome back Panthers. Thank you for your service. We'll get together again when we can.

Paratroopers, Families, Friends and Supporters of the Panther Brigade,

Our Final Main Body Flight is here! The deployed Paratroopers are extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve our great Nation, and are thankful to all of you for the outstanding support over the last nine + months. We are extremely happy to be on the same side of the Atlantic again, and look forward to reuniting after completion of quarantine.

It is bittersweet for us to return to Fort Bragg, as we dearly miss and remember our Fallen Heroes. We are incomplete due to their absence.

To our Gold Star Families, you are forever a part of our Panther Family. We honor you today and will NEVER FORGET the sacrifices of your loved ones.

With tremendous respect and gratitude,

P6 and P9

From 3rd BCT Facebook and Twitter:

Welcome home heroes!

Earlier this morning, Maj. Gen. Mingus, Commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, addressed #Panther Paratroopers redeploying to Fort Bragg, N.C. from their nine-month combat deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel and Operation Resolute Support.

As we celebrate the slow but steady return of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division (whom we have been committed to pray for, some who are connected to The Village family) we also want to share this redeployment reunion:

Perry Wadsworth has returned safely from deployment. He says, "Made it home. One year gone, but back to the greatest country in the world."

From Kaelinn Newby:
"Thank you so much Village Baptist- Reilly Road for your support of 3rd Brigade! They so generously donated items for our single soliders in the barracks. Whenever I have reached out to them, the answer is always "yes we can help, AND...". So on top of towels and washcloths they donated a huge amount of laundry soap.
I am so thankful for a ministry like this that is truly reaching soliders at Bragg and having a huge impact on our community."

A huge Thank You to all the volunteers who set up & decorated, prepared the gourmet meal, served the tables, provided childcare, directed traffic and security. Special thanks also to the master of ceremonies and guest speaker!
May God continue to grow the love in these couples (and their families) and draw them into a closer relationship with each other and with HIM.

Our 3rd Brigade suffered 2 more losses. Oh the heartache this news brings. Please pray for these families and all touched by this gut-wrenching update.

"They lived their motto, "Essayons," and embodied the values of the All American Engineer."

--

Families and Friends of the Panther Brigade,

Today is another tough day for the Panther Brigade and especially our Cobalt Engineers as we mourn the loss and celebrate the lives of SSG Ian McLaughlin and PFC Miguel Villalon.

Both were assigned to Company B, 307th AEB when they were killed Saturday, January 11 by an Improvised Explosive Device while conducting combat operations in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.

When our Nation called for its best Airborne Combat Engineers, SSG McLaughlin and PFC Villalon answered without hesitation. They lived their motto, "Essayons," and embodied the values of the All American Engineer. We now turn our focus to their Families and loved ones, offering them comfort and assistance through this difficult time.

We will honor SSG McLaughlin and PFC Villalon during Memorial Ceremonies in Afghanistan and on Fort Bragg and continue our missions, holding their memories in our hearts and their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.

I ask you pause for a moment in the coming days to do the same.
