The meetings are on the last Tuesday of each month at 6p.m. in the St. David’s church hall. Everyone is invited to these informative meetings. Back Pack Ministry The Back Pack Program provides nutritious weekend meals for low-income families and homeless who attend Englewood Elementary School. Kid friendly nutritious food is purchased from All Faiths Food Bank and delivered every two weeks to the Jubilee Center where it is sorted, packed, and delivered to the school for distribution. This program is made possible through donations from groups and individuals who give to sponsor a child for one school year.
Mission: The mission of Jubilee Ministry is to make a direct and dynamic link between our theology and our ethics. We must take care of the poor but we also must attack the root causes of that poverty. Charity and justice go hand in hand. Said another way: the talk of our faith and the walk of our faith.
Heartfelt thanks to all our wonderful volunteers for their help in these trying times. We couldn’t do it without you 💗
The JC will continue to be open Monday thru Wednesday from 10 until noon as we are considered essential personnel. Englewood Helping Hands will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays only beginning next week. Sprout Truck still coming to EHH in 2nd and 4th Thursday.
Please only use one pantry per week if possible.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy❤
[03/31/20] The monthly All Faiths Food truck has been cancelled for April. Jubilee Center remains open Mon-Wed 10am-Noon.
This is an uncertain time for all of us, and the Jubilee Center Food Pantry is doing our part to help ensure the health, safety, and food security of our community. We’re focused on the needs of our volunteers and the people we serve, as guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to evolve. We’re incredibly thankful for the understanding from our community wanting to support these efforts!
We don’t yet know the long term impact COVID-19 will have, but as always, we are here for the long haul. Jubilee Center is committed to serving those in need, and we’re very thankful for the trust that’s placed in us.
Here are some recent changes you may want to note:
As of now, Jubilee Center is no longer open on Thursdays.
We are currently serving clients Monday - Wednesday 10am to Noon. We are accepting food donations on Tuesdays from 10 until noon.
In years past, Jubilee Center has been closed the Monday after Easter Sunday. WE WILL BE OPEN THIS YEAR MONDAY, APRIL 13th.
The Tuesday Clothing Closet is closed until further notice. We are not accepting clothing donations at this time.
We thank our volunteers and donors for all you do for the Jubilee Center and the community of Englewood we have the privilege to support and empower. Please take care of yourselves and your family and follow the CDC for guidelines and updates: cdc.gov/COVID19
cdc.gov Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a virus (more specifically, a coronavirus) identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, China.
[03/23/20] Due to the Coronavirus The Jubilee Center Volunteer/Donor Luncheon scheduled for April 17th has been cancelled
We love & appreciate our wonderful Jubilee volunteer & donor community❤️
It has been a week since our new processes have been put into place at our Food Pantry. I would like to thank our volunteers, donors and clients for their compliance and understanding. With that said, the Coronavirus mandates are ever changing. For this coming week (Monday, March 23rd thru Thursday, March 26th), our Food Pantry hours of 10 am until 12, Monday- Thursday will remain the same.
We are so very appreciative of the continued, ongoing support of our donors, individuals and local Communities, however; we find it necessary at this time to limit when donations will be received. Beginning, Tuesday March 24th we will only be accepting Food donations on Tuesdays from 10 am until noon. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we need to be mindful of our volunteers and limiting entry into our pantry to avoid cross contamination.
Also, Our Clothing Closet will continue to be closed until further notice. We will No longer be accepting Clothing donations during this time.
Again, your understanding and patience is So Greatly Appreciated during these uncertain times. Should you have any questions, please feel free to call 941-681-3550 during hours of operation. 🙏 to all
These wonderful men, Steve Patty, Larry Par, Don Gott and Ken Deiss, from Stillwater Community brought a truck and a SUV full of canned goods from their Annual Community Food Drive to benefit our clients😍 Plus $585 in monetary donations. We are blessed beyond belief! Thank you for all you do in helping us to continue our mission of serving the most needy and vulnerable in Englewood!
A huge thank you to Barbie Arbour from Rotary Club of Englewood for inquiring what food items were needed today. Look what she brought! Canned tuna, canned vegetables, instant potatoes, cake mixes and icing. A blessing indeed!
Today was our first day of our new process setting up outside to avoid bringing contamination into the pantry. We were surprised by several campers (homeless) so hungry, eating as soon as they recieved food. One in need of a bike as his brakes were broken. Several parents with children were in need of extra "kid friendly " food. Thankful we were open and able to assist. Thank you to our donors and our volunteers to be able to continue to serve our vulnerable clients during these uncertain times.
The Jubilee Center is closely monitoring developments with COVID-19 (Coronavirus). I have recieved information from All Faith's Food Bank, local Health Department and local food pantries.
The safety of our volunteers and clients is our first priority. Additional sanitation measures are in place within the pantry. With that said, I have decided to implement the following process for the next 2 weeks. Clients will "drive up" to the pantry and be greeted by a volunteer. The volunteer will assist the client on their food needs. The volunteer will bring the food to the client and ideally placed in the clients trunk. This process will begin Monday, March 16th. Our hours and days open will remain the same. Monday - Thursday 10 am until 12pm.
Our Clothes Closet will be Closed for at least the next 2 weeks (March 16- March 29).
I will keep you abreast should any additional changes need made.
Thank you for your understanding. Again, our mission remains the same: to provide for the needy and most vulnerable in our Englewood Community.
