For the next few months, we’ll be turning our attention to the timely topic of the General Assembly — what it is, who participates, its history, and ultimately, why should you care? Throughout, we want to hear any reflections, questions, thoughts, prayers and musings!

How are you shining the light?

What is one thing that you can do this week to better your community? #PCUSA

Mision Peniel

We give thanks to God for the opportunity to share the face of God with so many here in the farmworker community of Immokalee, Florida! Every Friday we open the doors to serve those who are in need of a hot meal, groceries, fresh produce, clothing and other basic commodities. We are able to do this with the help of "disciples" from churches and other organizations and mission friends. On Friday of this past week, we were blessed to share the spirit of God's presence and hospitality to 550 community members with the help of partners from the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church (Punta Gorda) and our student volunteers from the Immokalee Soccer School and Academy. We also lift up our Cultivate Abundance partners who help provide fresh and nutritious produce each week from area mission gardens and our food bank partners, Midwest and Harry Chapin. Together we serve, together we share in Christ's name!
