Prince of Peace Christian Fellowship

Well, greetings and salutations, to all who love the Lord and await His anticipated return. By now, gifts have been opened and some returned; turkeys are exhaling once again "those that remain;" stores still crowded, returning items that we thought we wanted, for now, "on sale" price tags; camels, angels, shepherds, mangers, little white or slightly brown baby dolls, back to the attic; trash cans running over, not picked up because of "Christmas", and a partridge in a pair tree; new toys strewn all over the house; many small parts missing or eaten, or both; gearing up for ""watch-night" service; wondering if it has lost it "savor;" anticipating 2019 while wondering if 2018 was a good year; wondering about this years tax returns while wondering about the "gov-ment shut down; border security; the new congress; Mueller investigation, Trump-mania; the wall; border security; me-too movement; black lives matter; to name a few items beckoning our attention!!!
All this while we ponder, "Not I, But Christ", and "Amiss" that we might consume it on ourselves;" Here we stand again, pondering with the great decline in attendance throughout the nation; how to keeps the seats full long enough to "make budget;" evangelistic ideas to help me, "enlarge My territory; measuring success by "how many you running over there?" All the while wondering, "when da gon git it" and help grow "our" church; who can we bring into town, that will draw a crowd and know how to "raise a good offering?";
These are the calls, letters, tweets, email, etc. I receive from my friends traveling the "digital, super highway" each week;
Half are praying, "come quickly, Lord Jesus," while the rest, secretly pray, "take yo time." let's see what the stock market gon do." "Heaven on Earth, sounds good to me!!!"
As the year draws to a close, I pray we will take a deep breath, exhale, and praise God from whom all blessings flow!!
The Lord has not allowed us to remain, to devour one another, nor compete with "who's on first!!" 2018 nor 2019 belongs to us; we are just on da planet, so it would appear that Jesus, never left. The charge remains the same, "Go and make disciples of all nations." what a privilege to be given such a task, for such a time as this!" Remember, it was the Lord who proclaimed, "without Me, you can do nothing!" Make our reflection of what we leave in 2018, give us courage, competence, consistency, and commitment, to "build bridges, and not walls!!"

[04/20/18]   Well, greetings, in Christian Love!!!
Once again, our hearts and thoughts are drawn to this season as we continue to anticipate the Lord's return. So much begs our attention as the people of God struggle for legitimacy in a world where credibility has suffered at the hands of the "have nots!!!" The religious right are still trying to keep the pews filled without offending any; almost everyday, new strategies emerge to "grow Yo Church" only to be exhausted by a growing sense of apathy. Conferences are getting to expensive and with the world-wide-web more and more are researching the credibility of a "faith that seems to only work for a few!!!!. Again, many have attempted to "slap it, dap it' without ever possessing it!!"
Others have succumbed to the search of a religion which will make "us the head, and not the tail!!!" While it appears that many are "falling away from the Faith," it seems many never made it to the "kind of faith that obtains a good report!!". So, they stop at "religions door" and settle for the "crumbs that fall, from the rich man's table."
The cry from this generation is "where is the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob?" The remnant responds, "in Him, we live, move, and have our very being!!!" Don't just settle for the "fishes and the loaves", when there is a relationship that transforms us into "more than conquerors, through Him who loved us.
So, then , my beloved, "Be steadfast, unmovable, and always, abounding in the "healing, restoring, and evangelistic, work of the Lord, for you already know that your labor is not in vain, "in the Lord!!!"

"The Return To Our Father!!!!"

Well, Greetings In Jesus Joy!!!
The year now well underway and once again the Lord continues to position us for greatness. Lives are still being transformed by the renewing of minds consecrated to His Glory. The "Religious Right" is still busy, warring against itself, to see "who's on first", what's on second, and I don't know who's on third!!!" While that battle rages on the search for the "ethnicity of Christ" and the question of "when will be become the "head and not the tail" continues to confront those who are legitimately "walking by faith" and not by sight.
Today, more than ever, we are experiencing a decline in "church" attendance, while division which appears to be the order of the day, is celebrated by the "Religious Leaders" who have "grown weary in well doing;" with the exception of "Anniversaries, Annual Days, Mortgage Burning, and any other time where we are allowed to "feel good" about the divisiveness, that causes seventy-five "churches" to close each month in the U.S.
The questions that deepen this divide, have very little to do with the "devil." Remember, Christ said, "while men slept" an (en-of-me), came in and distorted the view of the wheat." Must we once again, ponder our position as branches to determine whether we are being "pruned, or have we been "cut off" and cast out and have been "gathered up by men!!!?
Our prayer is that we seek a response that will not allow us to believe that we can "be out of fellowship with each other", while claiming to be in fellowship with the Christ who sustains us. Remember, "you can't miss a relationship that never existed!!"
As invitations are given across the "churches" each Sunday, one may wonder, why? Could it be though "no visitors" are in attendance, that He calls those who lost their way!!!"
I close with this: the prodigal son, stated, "this is what I'll do, I'll get up and go back to my father and say, "I sinned against heaven, and you" and am no longer worthy to be called your son!!" Perhaps, we must look once more into the "pen of the swine" and come to ourselves and return to our Father!!!!

"He that has ears to hear, let them hear!!!"

Greetings, People of God,
Now that the traditional "Thanksgiving" celebration has ended, and yes, "we are grateful;" time to return to the work of evangelism. There are still many that have not heard the "gospel of Jesus Christ", though preaching seems to be on the increase. The internet has afforded "the haves and the have-not" to have a platform to speak to the masses. Yet, in many communities where these voices are heard, the response is almost "absent of any real, measurable, transformational" data. Paul asserted that "if this gospel be hid, it is hidden to those who are lost;" Yes, the god of this world, plays a major part, but often when sharing with many, the response is that "most" never heard the transforming, liberating, gospel of Jesus Christ"
Many feel that everything happens in the building, and there is no tangible "church" that exists in community. The church is "silent" in many aspects of community, though "thousands" empty out of "buildings" each Sunday. When, they ask, "when does the word become flesh" and dwell among us? The response seems to be, "well, come back next Sunday" because you blessings, "on da way!!!!" As we prepare to celebrate the love of God, exemplified by the "coming of Jesus Christ," let us examine the charge given to those intimately connected to our Lord, who declared, "now go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations!!!"
It seems to appear that the "thirsty" still make their way to well each week, dragging behind them, an empty bucket, with nothing to draw with!!!". They encounter, "the well of water, sitting on a well of water!!" only to leave "still thirsty." "Could it be that "the well has run dry?" or that the water that's being served, only satisfies our "flesh" and not our souls. Praying always, that our focus is not only on "entertainment, but sustainment" as we face an enemy that will not stop until he discredits the "word of the "Living God." We dare not become, those who are "ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth!!!"
Let us redeem the time, for our redemption is closer now,than when we first believed!!!!!
