Capitol City Church of Christ meets at 86 West Lebanon Rd, Dover DE Sunday School 9:30am Morning Worship 10:30am Evening Worship 6:00pm Wednesday 7:00pm Evangelist: Rich Paris Elders: Allen Record, Dean Stowe Deacon: Rufus Steele We are a part of a large fellowship of non-denominational New Testament churches involved in the restoration movement. We have no creed, but Christ and no book, but the Bible. Each congregation of Churches of Christ is self governed with preachers, elders, and deacons following the New Testament pattern. How does one become a Christian? By following the plan of salvation laid out in the New Testament. Faith(Hebrews 11:6), Repentance(Acts 17:30), Confession(Matthew 10:32), Baptism(Acts 2:38), Faithfulness(Revelation 2:10). The Lord's Supper, communion, is observed every Sunday as Christians did in Acts20:7. Our doors are open to everyone. Capital City currently is a smaller church than others but we are always growing. We love all people, including those who are not within the Lord. Why? Because Jesus loved everyone and all people, and died so that all may have a chance to live anew within Him. As the song, Come As You Are by Pocket Full of Rocks, goes "You can come as you are with all your broken pieces, and all your shameful scars, The pain you hold in your heart, bring it to all to Jesus, You can come as you are." Capital City also holds a Spanish speaking service on Sunday evenings at 6pm. We invite you to join us in worshiping the great God of the Bible this upcoming Sunday and every Sunday. No one in the church is perfect but we are all perfected through Christ Jesus. If you have any questions about our services, the plan of salvation, Bible questions in general, or really anything call our church office (302-697-1500), inbox our page, or email us [email protected]
Mission: Our mission is spread the message and the love of Christ Jesus. To bring as many people to Christ as possible, following the great commission. Matthew 28:16-20(NIV) 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” We also believe in supporting mission work. Some of the missions we support are: Delmarva Christian Service Camp, and Delmarva Family Camp East Coast Evangelizing Fellowship Christian Restoration Asso. International Disaster Emergency Service, IDES Pioneer Bible Translators (supporting 2 teams) Cincinnati Christian University Delmarva Evangelism South Jersey Evangelism

Posting for the letter in this post. Very good message that we might not hear elsewhere.
This is an important message for prolifers to hear. If you are interested in having your church be truly part of the solution to help pregnant women, please visit www.embracegrace.com. I got this letter from a woman and I wanted to share it with all of you.
"Dear Pro Life America,
I get that we are a mostly conservative crew. I get that we tend to disagree with sex outside of marriage. But guess what? We are failing. We are failing the unwed mother. I got pregnant at 18 years old. I had a scholarship and was in college. I had "everything going for me"... Supportive family, great boyfriend. My birth control failed, and bam, I was pregnant. And terrified.
I felt like my life was over. I felt like I would never succeed. I was scared and sad. When I announced my pregnancy, I was ostracized. I had people pat me on the back and say they were "so sorry". I had someone walk up to me and give me a hug, shake their head sadly and walk away. My first Sunday at church after my pregnancy was announced was full of mourning and sadness for my "unfortunate situation" from pretty much everyone I knew.
Guess what? I wasn't sick, I wasn't hurt. I was having a baby. A baby that all these people, who were pro life, would have fought for if I had been making a different choice.
When we treat women this way, we reinforce the idea that a baby is a bad thing and the end of their life. We reinforce the idea that young mothers cannot and will not succeed. She is likely already thinking these things, worrying. She is likely already feeling isolated and alone. I was. I am so thankful for my family and boyfriend (now husband) who supported me and loved me. Without them, who knows if my choice would have been the same.
Next time you see a young woman, a brave young girl who has chosen LIFE, KNOWING she will be ignored and treated like she was diseased... Tell her CONGRATULATIONS ❤️ Tell her her baby is going to be adorable. Tell her it's going to be the best thing that ever happened to her, because it will. Offer to buy her ice cream or help with a baby shower. When you mourn a pregnancy, you are not being pro life.
The women most likely to have an abortion are young Caucasian girls in college who have "everything going for them". Please do not play into her fear. Celebrate her baby. Be thankful for this baby. And support this new mother.
