Calvary Assembly of God Motorcycle Ministry

Ministering to the saved and unsaved. He died for us so that we may live for Him.

A group of riders interested in connecting with other riders and dedicated to reaching out to the community.

Mission: The purpose of Calvary Assembly of God Motorcycle Ministry is to provide a small group ministry/fellowship for those who enjoy riding motorcycles. All riders are welcome regardless of type of motorcycle, level of experience, or church affiliation. We are, however, a Christian group of riders, and follow Christian principles and standards during our rides and events.

[03/14/20]   Please be in prayer for Ron Hohrein. He was in a motorcycle accident today and has been medivacked to Christiana.

[03/01/18]   This Sunday, March 4, we have a ride scheduled to go to Grottos in Milford. We will leave the church at 11 AM. The weather is supposed to be 48 and partly sunny. Ride your bike or take your car. Hope to see you there.

[02/13/18]   Motorcycle Ministry Meeting - Feb. 25th at 6:00 PM

On February 25th at 6:00 pm we will be having a meeting at the church in Rooms 205/208 about our upcoming year. Once again, we want to do a soup potluck! Please email us back at [email protected] with what kind of soup you can make to share with us all. Sandy will provide some of those wonderful Amish rolls to go with the soups! We hope you all will mark your calendars and come join us.

Missing a lot of people since the last time we were here. Some great weather and great rides.

[08/24/17]   Our thoughts and prayers go out to Debbie and Roland on the passing of her mother this morning. Please lift them and their family up during this difficult time.

It was a hot ride, but a great one as 10 bikes made the trip to Oxford, Maryland on Sunday, July 2nd. We ate lunch in Oxford and then sampled some of the delicious ice cream at the Scottish Highland Creamery. We then crossed over to Bellevue on the ferry and headed home.

[05/07/17]   It is a beautiful day for a ride! Leaving from Calvary parking lot at 11:00 am for Chesapeake City for lunch. See you soon!

This is why we pray before we ride. It's all about 3 seconds from now.

Talk about being lucky... :O

[02/19/17]   Looking forward to our meeting with the Motorcycle Ministry meeting tonight!! 6:00 pm friends!

Comment here when you get your room.

We had a great turnout and a great time at the annual Motorcycle Ministry Christmas party at the Everett's. Thank you Roland and Debbie for hosting the party and for all you have poured into our ministry over the years. We look forward to 2017 and all that is in store for us as Ron and Sandy Holrein take over the reigns.

[09/01/16]   For all you Harley Davidson fans, there is a 3-part miniseries that will be on the Discovery channel starting on Monday, September 5th at 9:00 PM. It will tell the story of how two brothers, and their childhood friend created the Global iconic motorcycle and brand "Harley Davidson."

21 bikes made the trip to Taylors Island on Saturday, August 20th. What a great turnout. The weather was terrific, finally. Many rides have been rained out this year. Our first stop was Cambridge, MD, for gas a a break and then on to Taylors Island, MD, where we had lunch at Palm Beach Willies. They were very accommodating and the food was great.

This ride was not without incident; however. We didn't even get out of town before we got hung up in Camden. We then had one bike that the battery died on at our Cambridge, MD, stop and had to buy a new battery. It wasn't a Harley. We then had another bike whose battery died at Palm Beach Willies. Again, it wasn't a Harley. We couldn't get a replacement for that one so it had to be trailered home.

Following lunch, we rode through the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and then headed home where we stopped for ice cream, of course, when arriving back in Wyoming, DE.

Great ride, great day, great fellowship, great food, and great to have the Lord riding with us. Join us on the next ride, won't you?

[06/28/16]   I went to visit Chuck and he is doing okay. He has a fractured rib and punctured lung and banged up a little, but very little road rash. No other injuries that they know of at this time. He made me leave because I kept making him laugh and it hurt his ribs. Pray for a speedy recovery.

[06/27/16]   Please pray for Chuck Bradley. He was in a motorcycle accident today. He is in KGH and his stepson, Gary, said he thought he would be able to come home tomorrow. I have no more details yet.

[02/27/16]   Stop wishing, start doing. Stop waiting for things to happen, go out and make them happen and spend the rest of you days making them the best of your days.

The Royal Rangers are in need of some help. We have at church that is located in Royersford, PA, that has an existing 26’ x 32’ pavilion that they are taking down in order to expand their church. The pavilion is only several years old and in great shape. See the attached picture. They are donating it to the Royal Rangers for our Camp and all we have to do is dismantle it and transport it to the Camp.

We are in need of several persons to help take it down. Transporting it and unloading it at the Camp has not yet been worked out. The dismantling will occur on Saturday, August 29th. I know this is short notice, but we have not gotten many commitments from our Ranger guys. The church is located at 962 E. Schuylkill Road, Pottstown, PA. It is about 2 hours from Dover. I will be driving up and can take as many as 5 others with me. I will be leaving at 6:00 AM. If you can help please contact me at (302) 632-8814 or email me at [email protected]. Bring tools. We should be able to knock it out relatively quickly if we have enough men helping.

A gorgeous ride to St. Michael's, MD, on Saturday, August 15th. We had lunch at the Bridge restaurant on Tilghman Island and then went site seeing and shopping in St. Michael's. Fifteen motorcycles and 25 people joined us on the trip. Of course..... there was ice cream.

Congratulations to Debbie Everett for recently graduating from Global University Bible College and to Roland Everett for his recent retirement from Kraft.

16 Bikes from the Calvary Assembly of God motorcycle ministry made the trip to Skypointe Church in Wilmington, DE, on July 5th to help them with their community outreach festival. Several new families visited the church as a result of the outreach. Yes, of course, there was an ice cream stop at Bruster's in Middletown afterward.

[03/03/15]   Don't forget that next Saturday, March 7th, the clocks get moved forward 1 hour. That means more daylight at the end of the day, which means more riding is just around the corner.

Grottos Pizza Meeting

[02/15/15]   The soup and safety meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

26 people that were members or family members of our Motorcycle Ministry traveled up to Sight and Sound in Lancaster, PA, to see the Moses production. The show was outstanding. If you have never been to a show at Sight and Sound you really need to see one. The next production will be Joseph, which starts May 22, 2015.

[07/22/14]   For those of you who may not have heard, Glenn Hurley was in a serious motorcycle accident on Friday evening. When we heard on Saturday, he was still unconscious when Cornelius went up from the church to pray with him. He is in Christiana Hospital with head, facial, and shoulder injuries.

We went to see Glenn at Christiana Hospital on Monday. He is in the Critical Care Unit in Room 14 of 2A. His family was not there for us to talk to, so we couldn't get information on his current condition or prognosis. I'm not sure how long he will be in that unit before he gets moved to a regular room. He does have head injuries, shoulder and arm injuries, and facial injuries. He knew we were there and responded slightly when Dan, Roland, and Bill prayed with him, but he could not talk much. When I went in he could look at me and knew I was there but was still pretty much out of it. He will be needing lots of prayer. We will keep you updated on his condition as we get more word. For when he gets home, his address is 33 Acorn Forest Dr., Felton, DE, 19943, for visits or cards.

Debbie Everett

20 Bikes made the trip to Chestertown, MD, and Rock Hall, MD, on Saturday, July 19th, for some great food at Waterman's Crab House in Rock Hall, MD, and great fellowship at the Everett's following the ride where we had lots and lost of ice cream.

Bikes Blues and BBQ

We are very sorry to inform you that our good friend and riding companion, Sonny, passed away a short while ago at his daughter's home in Eldersburg, Maryland. Thank God, he only suffered for a very short period of time before going home with the Lord. The family will be having a memorial for him in Maryland. When Ann gets back to Delaware, she will be having a memorial service for him here at the church. We will send out details for that as soon as we have them.
