Assigning Seats on the Leadership Bus - The Vision Room

We need new leadership in my small group (Sunday School class). We look for who is willing to serve but we also need to ask these critical questions.

Assigning Seats on the Leadership Bus - The Vision Room Let’s set aside getting the right people on the bus… how do you know when someone is in the right seat?

Women in the Bible: Why Every Pastor Needs a Priscilla

"When men are preparing to enter the ministry, we often talk to them about the importance of surrounding themselves with faithful men...But when was the last time you heard a seminary commencement message encourage future pastors to also surround themselves with biblically literate women such as Priscilla?"

Women in the Bible: Why Every Pastor Needs a Priscilla The example of men partnering with women in the Bible is a beautiful thing. Paul wrote repeatedly about the women who helped him in his ministry, and Jesus was also helped by faithful women.

Commentary: What about Phoebe? When Scripture "contradicts" Scripture, Part 2

Commentary: What about Phoebe? When Scripture "contradicts" Scripture, Part 2 Jay Givens looks at Southern Baptist opposition to women's ordination (Part 1) and the role of Phoebe in the early church (Part 2).

[05/18/21]   "Who is paying attention to the spiritual life and health of the women in your church or community? Who’s speaking into those conversations about life, kids, school, marriage, friends? Who’s noticing a drift, a shift, an unmooring from a reliance on scripture as the anchor for our lives?

We may go to church once a week and talk about the ‘lesson’ and listen to the sermon but it’s the deeper conversations - the spaces where we are known and seen - that reveal what’s really going on in our lives. The struggles, the questions, the disappointments, even the joys and the triumphs." Shari Edwards

[04/11/21]   “Southern Baptists will truly live up to our moniker as Great Commission Baptists when the outrage expressed toward the men of our tribe who never “preach” the Gospel (cf. Romans 10:14-17) exceeds the outrage expressed toward the women of our tribe who actually do.” Adam Greenway @SWBTS

MONDAY - ON COFFEE with Kim - Justina Page - author, speaker, actress, SURVIVOR by God's grace!

On Monday's COFFEE...A woman’s true story of rebuilding her faith in the aftermath of harrowing tragedy.

In the early hours of March 7, 1999, Justina Page’s life changed forever when a four alarm house fire ravaged and destroyed her family’s home. In the aftermath, in addition to the heartbreaking loss of one of her 22-month-old twin boys, Justina and her husband had to cope with the physical injuries to both her and their surviving son.

The Circle of Fire chronicles her struggle to overcome the devastating consequences of this catastrophic event. Justina’s is a journey of discovery—that personal tragedy is not a life sentence to despair, anger, and continual pain and suffering, and that something positive can be salvaged from every agonizing experience, even when your faith has truly been tried by fire.

How Biblical Is Your Biblical Womanhood?

If we’re basing our beliefs on Scripture, and if Jesus said all of Scripture points to Him, then wouldn’t it make sense to build or at least harmonize our biblical womanhood on how Jesus related to women?

Scripture References:
Samaritan Woman: John 4
Woman with the flow of blood: Mark 5:25–34, Luke 8:43–48
Mary and Martha: Luke 10:38–42
