Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church

We are a newly planted church located in the southwest region of Dallas. Our mission is to lead people to trust and obey Jesus.

Mission: We exist to lead people to trust and obey Jesus.

Operating as usual

We are always in need of God's goodness and mercy. We need it when we get laid off from our job, we need it when we're dealing with that difficult family member, we need it when our loved one is sick and we need it when things seem to be going well!

Thankfully, those of us who know God and have been adopted by Him as sons and daughters can say along with David in Psalm 23, "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life..."

God assures us that He is in complete control of our circumstances and everything that happens to us, whether pleasant or challenging. Nothing happens by accident, but rather occurs intentionally and according to God's plan for us.

An Incredible Pregnancy

Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church welcomes Stephen G. Brown, Senior Pastor of Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church (GBBC)! Pastor Brown opens the scriptures to Luke 1:26-38 and shows us from the text how God chose Mary to be the earthly carrier of the Supernatural Child – His Son and our Savior. This was truly an “AN INCREDIBLE PREGNANCY!” To learn more about Pastor Stephen Brown and the Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church (GBBC) visit their website at: https://www.greaterdallas.org/ #HarvestFellowshipDesoto

It's impossible for a virgin to give birth to the prophesied Messiah.... isn't it?? We as Christians must make a habit of believing God will do exactly what He says He will do regardless of how impossible it seems.

Many thanks to Stephen G. Brown for this wonderful advent message "An Incredible Pregnancy"!

Join us in-person or online at facebook.com/harvestfellowshipbaptistchurch/live at 10am!

Is there something that you have been petitioning God for? Are you waiting for Him to move in some way in your life? Most Christians are because God's timing is not our timing. But while you are waiting for his answer, are you worshiping Him and serving His church?

Living with Great Expectations

Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church welcomes Dr. Tony Wolfe! Today, Dr. Wolfe shares with us the need to live with great expectations. So often in times of difficulty, we become obsessed with “normal” and we doubt God’s supernatural ability to act in and through our lives and circumstances. Join us as Dr. Wolfe shows us from the life of Zechariah, as found in Luke 1, how we should anticipate God working out His perfect will even in times like these. If you would like to learn more about our guest preacher, you can visit his website at: https://tonywolfe.net/ #HarvestFellowshipDesoto

The unique circumstances of 2020 can cause anyone to long for just a little bit of normalcy. But don't get too caught up in the thought of normal that you miss what supernatural things God may be planning to do! Instead, wait for him with obedient faith. On the other side, we will surely find that our God has been faithful! #normalcy #obedience #faith

Many thanks to Dr. Tony Wolfe for this convicting and encouraging message! “Expecting Normal: Zechariah”

Deacons: Servants in the Life of the Church

What exactly does a Deacon do? The role of the Deacon is one of two church offices spelled out in the New Testament but, how the Deacons function may vary depending on the needs of a particular congregation and the needs of their Pastor. In today’s sermon “Deacons: Servants in the Life of the Church” Pastor Ed Johnson III opens the scriptures to Philippians 1:1 to teach us the guidelines set out for this vital role in the church. #HarvestFellowshipDesoto

Welcome to December! We are taking our annual break from Fellowship Groups and the Student Lounge to be resumed in the new year. Enjoy your time with your families and we’ll see you on Sundays for worship service!

We are so thankful for the service of the deacons and elders in our churches! But God calls all Christians to serve the church, not just those in positions of leadership. Take a moment to reflect: How are you serving your church?

God's Word directs us not only to be thankful to God, but to sing praises to Him! This is not directed only to those who have a passion for singing or the worship team, but to all of God's people! If you can sing along to your favorite jam on the radio or proudly sing your national anthem, be sure you keep the same energy when it is time to sing songs of worship to the Lord! 🎤 🎶 🗣#thanksgiving

Harold Pierce lead our Student Lounge discussion on from Nehemiah 8:13-18 and the Festival of Booths.

"Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulation, there was an assembly." NEH 8:18

#HarvestStudentLounge #HarvestFellowshipDesoto

With a God like ours, we have so much to be thankful for! Let’s tell the world today what the Lord has done! 🙌🗣👏#thankful #thanksgiving

Last week, Harold Pierce lead our discussion of Nehemiah 8:13-18 and the Festival of Booths.

Ezra read the word of God as people gathered in a mini revival. Some left on the second day to keep celebrating, the family heads, the priests and Levites stayed back because there was a continuing thirst for the word.

Giving thanks to God should involve more than just saying "thank you." A person who is truly thankful ought to show it through actions. We can express our thankfulness to God for all He has done for us through our obedience to Him! #thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

What a year 2020 has been! With all the tumult and tribulation going on in the world around us, there may be some who don’t think we have anything to be thankful for this year. That is an incorrect view if you are a follower of Christ and have placed your hope and trust in Him. Pastor Ed Johnson III shows us from Psalm 100 how we as Christians need to be faithful to God and give Him the praise and thanksgiving He is worthy of. Join Pastor Johnson for this special sermon titled simply “Thanksgiving”. #HarvestFellowshipDesoto

Last week, Harold Pierce lead our discussion of Nehemiah 8:13-18 and the Festival of Booths.

"They found written in the Law, which the Lord had commanded through Moses, that the Israelites were to live in temporary shelters during the festival of the seventh month and that they should proclaim this word and spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem: 'Go out into the hill country and bring back branches from olive and wild olive trees, and from myrtles, palms and shade trees, to make temporary shelters'—as it is written." NEH 8:14-15

The Lounge is on break until January but last week, Harold Pierce from Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church lead our lesson. We discussed Nehemiah 8:13-18 and the Festival of Booths. The festival was a time for the people to be encouraged by the way God protected and provided for His people while they wandered in the wilderness.

The rulers, governors and leaders thought they had the ear of the King, but Nehemiah had the ear of the King of Kings! If God has a purpose, there is no man that can thwart it! Listen to our last sermon by our brother Roland Tureaud and hear about the power of prayer to a Sovereign God! #AreYouReady

About Us...

Harvest Fellowship exists to lead people to trust and obey Jesus.

Our mission is based on Matthew 28:18-20:

And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

We see many people trusting Jesus as Savior and Lord and becoming deeply rooted in Him and in biblical community.
