happy new year to you guys see you in the spring
Living Hope Community Church at Davenport,IA. I left from Richmond, VA to Molin, IL on the 18th of July via Greyhound bus. On the way to Chicago on the 19th, I found out that the Greyhound staff in Baltimore had not loaded my luggage (with many valuable things) even though it had been properly tagged with my name and destination. I was told that I may have to wait for 72 hours to receive it. I did not have any spare clothes to wear and the pants had a damaged zipper. Later Pastor Brian arranged to repair my zipper. A woman called Meera came to the house and collected my pants and repaired the zipper for $15. It was a great favour from her. Five days later I have received my luggage from Greyhound. I thank God. When I reached Molin, Rev. Renee Holm was waiting to welcome me holding a sign with my name. Her husband, Dennis Holm, and assistant Pastor Brian Greene, gave me a warm welcome also. They provided me with good accommodations and good meals. Rev. Renee purchased sufficient clothes for me. There was a fun day at the church during my stay. Many church members including children, youth, and senior citizens were wholeheartedly involved. Each day I was invited to lunch by the church members. It was a very new and exciting experience for me. Rev. Renee’s husband, Mr. Dennis, often made us laugh and it was a very nice time. I stayed with Assistant Pastor Brian, a very humble and good man of God. He is very friendly and cared for me very well. He drove me to many places and he was very helpful in all my difficult situations when I was at Molin. Also Pastor Brian introduced me with one of his neighbors, Mr.Jesse. Within a few hours he prepared southern Indian rice with chicken Kulambu. It was very tasty and just like home-made! One night I shared my testimony with the youth and they were very sincere in listening. I ministered in the church Sunday morning and night. The church was filled with the people of God and I was very blessed by the worship time which was led by Rev. Renee’s son, Mr. Wayne. I thank God who enabled me to preach and share His love and I thank Rev. Renee who gave me the opportunity to speak in the church and cared for me very well. The offering will be very useful for the church roof. I am very grateful for their hospitality and for the warm welcome. Mississippi River: Rev. Renee took me down the Mississippi river by water taxi and it was an enjoyable trip on the longest river in USA. At the ice-cream shop I was unable to order my ice-cream but Rev. Renee ordered a huge one for me. Rev. Renee and her husband are very humble, prayerful and fully devoted to God’s service. She is really a great woman of God. May God bless her and the congregation.
