To the glory of God, the Missions Foundation works with people who want to use their resources to change the world. As a ministry of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, our first priority is to serve the ministry needs of Texas.
We are bias towards action, which means we are constantly seeking to support innovative, creative, and forward-thinking ministry endeavors all for the sake of impacting people in the name of Jesus Christ. 100% of every donation goes directly to the ministry of your choosing. Just a few examples of the ministries we support include: new churches, college campus ministries, boarder ministries along the Rio Grande, Cowboy and Country churches, refugee relief, disaster recovery, and much more. Visit our webpage at texasbaptists.org/tbmf for more about who we are and what we do.
Mission: Provide giving opportunities for those who seek to make an impact for God’s kingdom both in Texas and beyond
Operating as usual
Even in Texas, there are many places where the Gospel is not spread through the local church. On the other hand, many churches have not fully reached the growing population of people who do not know Christ. We can start simple churches in homes, workplaces, or wherever necessary to fulfill the Great Commission.
Last year, donations to the Missions Foundation supplied a grant to help start house congregations. Through this work, 1,650 accepted Christ as their Savior. Thank you for advancing God's Kingdom through your generosity!

Conclave is an annual conference that supports, educates, and equips children's, youth, family and NextGen ministers. In 2020, Missions Foundation donors provided a grant to facilitate this highly-anticipated event.
While Conclave 2020 had to be canceled due to the pandemic, a free, 4 1/2 hour virtual event drew over 200 participants. Despite this challenge, Texas Baptists were able to reach ministers who otherwise might not have been able to participate. Speakers were also able to address the difficult mental health challenges facing pastoral staff.

The final step in creating a practical estate plan is reviewing it periodically. Every 3-5 years should suffice, in addition to life changes such as birth or adoption of a child, major changes in assets, death of a beneficiary, marriage or divorce, moving to another state, or changes in tax laws.

James grew up in a Christian home but never fully embraced his parent’s faith. When he reached the final stage of Eastern Mysticism, his parents, members of Go Church, expressed concern to their core group, as it seemed he was in the process of starting a cult following. So the entire group prayed and fasted together. James met Jesus and was radically saved. He now serves the Lord and uses his testimony to lead others to the Truth.

Churches across Texas are struggling to deal with damage from last week's disastrous weather. The Church Disaster Relief fund of Texas Baptists provides assistance to those congregations, enabling them to meet the needs of their communities. These churches are uniquely positioned to share Jesus and show love.
Your gift through the Church Disaster Relief fund makes an immediate and eternal impact! Helping churches carry out God's mission is why Texas Baptists exist.
"Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life." - 1 Timothy 6:17-19
Last year, donors to the Missions Foundation supplied a grant to Hands In Service for ecological latrines in Zacatecas, Mexico. The land there is too rocky to put in sewage pipes for flush toilets, so the latrines are necessary to avoid contamination that causes serious diseases for infants, children, and adults.

In John 6, we learn about how Jesus was able to take a small loaf and bread and two fish and multiply it to feed thousands. What we don’t often hear about is the role of Andrew, who saw the need and went to the boy who had the resources to make it happen. Our goal is to fill the role of Andrew by inviting followers of Christ to engage in His mission through the resources God has given them.

Your generous donations to the Missions Foundation enabled us to provide a grant for The Strengthening Project in 2020. This ministry offers encouragement to pastors and their spouses by providing retreats with specific focus on spiritual renewal and marriage enrichment.
Things obviously did not go as planned last year, but they were able to conduct one retreat before the pandemic began, moved what they could to Zoom conferences, and fund new and innovative ways to reach ministry families.
When pastors' families are strengthened, so are our Texas Baptist churches. Thank you for investing in God's Kingdom.
Thank you East Texas Baptist University! What a blessing to get to play a small role in the impact you make in your students and community.
Thank you to President of the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation (TBMF) and this morning's chapel speaker, Dr. Jerry Carlisle, for challenging the Tiger Family to use our gifts and resources to be an instrument of God's good news.
During his chapel address, Dr. Carlisle presented a donation of $5,000 on behalf of the TBMF to ETBU's Neighborhood Renewal Initiative (NRI), which seeks to transform the local community while developing students into servant leaders. #EmbracingFaith #EnhancingCommunity

The story of the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation is much like the story of how Jesus fed the multitudes with a loaf of bread and two fish.
In 1984, God took one vision and two men and has multiplied the work of His Kingdom through them. Through the leadership of founding President Bill Arnold and now Jerry Carlisle, he has continuously blessed the work of Texas Baptists and their partner ministries.
