Texas and Ohio Include Abortion as Medical Procedures That Must Be Delayed

nytimes.com The moves by the states set off a new front in the political fight over abortion during the coronavirus pandemic.

We'd love for you to join Park Cities Presbyterian Church in a day of prayer & fasting on Wednesdays:

Over the next many weeks we are going to set aside Wednesdays as a day of prayer and fasting (for those who are able), in order to help us praise God for who He is, to confess our sins before Him, to express our gratitude for all He has and is giving us, and to help us cry out to Him in our time of need. There are many ways you can spend time in prayer. One simple and specific way you can pray to God is to use the well-known acronym A.C.T.S. as a way of moving through different seasons of prayer. Go to https://pcpc.org/day-of-prayer-and-fasting/ where we have more info including specific ways you can pray today!

Here’s your reminder to pray for all the amazing Dallas teachers facilitating classes remotely today!

We’re so grateful lunch service is still available for families who depend on it.

Quarantined and have time on your hands?? Use some of that time to educate yourself!

Here’s a podcast for you, produced by The Chalmers Center. It features discussions on “Redefining Success for Poverty Alleviation,” “Understanding how Trauma Affects the Poor,” “Startups, Social Impact & the Church,” and more!

During this time of uncertainty, let’s together draw near to the throne of grace, praying for health and safety, strength for healthcare professionals, wisdom for government leaders, provision for those whose jobs are suspended due to COVID-19, and protection for children who are home from school this week without their parents.

Follow Park Cities Presbyterian Church for the latest updates on PCPC’s response to the Coronavirus, and to learn more about how you can request any assistance you might need!

Additionally, PCPC is publishing a daily Every Thought Captive devotional - subscribe at PCPC.org/newsletters or view at etcdevo.org.

We will publish updates to City Missions social media accounts as we learn more about how ministry partners in Dallas are serving their communities and any ways you might be able to help!

for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
to give knowledge of salvation to his people
in the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God,

Please pray for our brothers and sisters at Behind Every Door as the mourn the loss of this precious girl.

Behind Every Door mourns with the family of Brandoniya Bennett (on the right) and the Roseland Town homes community over the loss of a beautiful angel who brought joy and laughter into the lives of everyone she met.
Our community center will be missing an assistant, a kid's advocate and a dance team member, because Brandoniya was all of that and so much more! Our hearts are filled with sorrow at the magnitude of this loss, but gratefulness brings us to overflow because we were able to know and love her, even if just for a little while.
As we process through this senseless tragedy, our community of family and friends will continue to lift one another as we trust God with every emotion. Though we will not rush the steps of healing, we are confident that our weeping will be replaced with joy.
In the meantime we ask for everyone's continued prayers to help us all live love because, "love...bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.”
Details to follow.
