Welcome to St. Paul's E&R Church (UCC)

We are worshiping at home, scattered but gathered. Sunday, June 14, 2020, Second Sunday after Pentecost, service is available on our website: www.stpauluccdallas.org.

"Each week this summer we will read a story from Genesis, and we’ll accompany it with a video from the Global Oneness Project. https://www.globalonenessproject.org/ The video will correspond some way (hopefully in a way that’s obvious!) with the scripture. We’ll find themes throughout the summer of creation, fracture, birth, heartache, etc. Some of the stories will be joyful while others will prove difficult to process. But we’ll walk through them together, with the goal of learning more about ourselves, our God, and what it means to live in community as humans."

[06/02/20]   It is with sadness that we report the death of Louise Blanchard on Sunday, May 31st. A Memorial Service to celebrate Louise's life is being planned for August 15th at Chapel of the Cross Church. More information will follow as that time is near. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.

Celebrating 130 years of faith and service sharing Christ's love.

Our Pentecost communion drive-through was well attended.

Pentecost Sunday Communion

People of Saint Paul, Will and Pastor Kayla have made an audio recording of our Great Thanksgiving. If you would like to participate in communion this week, click on the link to hear the recording. [Posted on our website] You have two options: 1. You can participate with your household at home, using your own bread and wine or juice, awaiting the day when we can celebrate the Eucharist in person once more. 2. We will have the host available on Pentecost Sunday from 11am-noon in the circle drive. If you would like to participate in this way, you may drive through to receive the host. We ask that you remain in your car while you are on campus. Pastor will greet you at your car with a small cup containing the host. Those preparing and serving will wear gloves and masks.

The perfect concert of Art Song in its many forms! The beloved mélodies of Cécile Chaminade are witty and tuneful and in typical French style. Joseph Marx wrote Lieder that are akin to those of Richard Strauß, harmonically lush. Deità silvane is Respighi’s setting of Arturo Rubino’s verses on ancient Greek and Roman deities with a nostalgic feel. The concert also includes songs by one of the most celebrated and prolific composers of American song, Lori Laitman.
