Baptism Celebration

As we reflect on our last 10 years, we saw an overwhelming amount of kids and adults decide to follow Christ, and then proclaim that to the world through the powerful sacrament of baptism. We thank God for everything he has done in and through Highland Park Pres and so excited to see all he will do in the next decade! Are you interested in taking the next step in your faith journey? Taste & See
In Psalm 34:8 the Psalmist extends this invitation: "Taste and see that the Lord is good." We are a people who are hungry, both physically and spiritually and are created to experience fullness in our communion with our God. Throughout this season of Lent we are going to gather around these tables in Scripture to see how God meets his people where they are in their hunger, both to feed them physically and fill them with his promises. We want you to know that our God desires to meet you in those longings and satisfy you by grace. Our prayer is that you will join us this season of Lent and that you will truly taste and see that the Lord is good. Don't miss this Sunday as we kick off Taste & See at 8:45, 10, and 11:15 am. Find more about Sundays at HP Pres at hppres.org/sundays.

Small Groups in 60 Seconds
God transforms us significantly through being in community with other followers of Jesus. Small groups help us see the church as less of a building and more of a family to which we belong. Find a group to connect and grow with at hppres.org/groups.

Vision 100
On the 25th anniversary of Highland Park Pres, Dr. Bill Elliott preached, "It is right that we should meditate some on the past, but our eyes must always be to the future...that God would fill us with divine discontent, and send us out for even greater things." Moving toward our 100th anniversary in 2026, we want to look forward and continue to advance God's mission for HP Pres. Find out more about Vision 100 at hppres.org/vision.

Spain Mission Trip
Taking time away from the busyness of everyday life, a group from HP Pres travels to a small village in Spain where pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago rest from their soul-searching journey. The team invites in voyagers to have a hot meal in the midst of the 500-mile trek. This opportunity has opened up many conversations centered around Jesus’ saving power. Transformation happens not only in the traveler’s hearts, but in the team that relies fully on the Holy Spirit as conversations unfold. Find out more or join our Spain team at hppres.org/mission-trips.

Elder Reflections
God has blessed Highland Park Pres with encouragers, teachers, leaders, and a wide variety of unique gifts to serve and expand his kingdom. It’s important for us to call out these gifts when we see them not only to encourage the hearts of others, but sometimes, our words can be the first spark to someone taking their next step in growing as a transformed follower of Jesus. If you know someone who could use their God-given gifts to serve as a deacon or elder, let the Officer Nominating Committee know by recommending them at hppres.org/recommend.

Join us for our second trip to serve alongside our sister ECO church in the small island community of Kake, Alaska. With a population of only 500, Kake is isolated and in recent years has suffered from an extreme economic downturn. Our ECO family at Kake Memorial Pres has invited us to come and bring the light of Christ by helping with VBS for the children of the island, spending evenings engaging in fun activities with the local community, and encouraging the members of Kake Memorial. Dear Church, A Letter to the Church in Highland Park
We believe that the same Spirit, which spoke to his churches two thousand years ago, is still at work and speaking to his beloved church today. As we have been studying these seven letters to the churches in Revelation, we have wondered what God may say to Highland Park Pres, All Nations, our Mandarin Chinese Church Plant, and Peak Street Church here and how. This is a letter to our family of churches from our elders, the spiritual leaders of our church. In theme with the Revelation letters, they present praise, problem, and promise. You won’t find this in your Bible—this is not divinely inspired—but we hope you will hear God’s promise to you and to us. Listen to or watch the Dear Church, A Letter to the Church in Highland Park in its entirety at hppres.org/sermons.

Cuba 2019

Sign up for next year's Cuba trip or find other 2020 mission trips at hppres.org/mission-trips.

In order to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the world, HP Pres members of all ages are committed to cross-cultural ministry through short-term mission trips. Learn all about our 2020 mission trips at hppres.org/mission-trips.
