Alumni Exhortation April 2020

Our COVID-19 Update:

We're reaching out to you, our Worldview family, to keep you in the loop as we look forward. We want you to know that we are monitoring the information about COVID-19 nearly every hour... the safety of our students and staff is a top priority!

We are staying in very close communication with our university partners. As hosts to our leadership camps this summer, they play a crucial role. At this point, we have no plans to cancel or postpone any camps this summer - canceling would be premature.

If that changes, we will notify you right away. You can also see our current information here. www.Worldview.org/COVID-19

Please keep us in your prayers as we navigate these unprecedented times. All of our staff are now working remotely from home and we are here to serve you! Resource orders from our store are still being filled.

Emails and phone calls are still being responded to, but in some cases there is a delay due to volume and limitations. Below is a special video of encouragement for Worldview Leadership Camp Alumni.

You'll hear from us again soon!

"I was scared to come this week. I didn't want to branch out. I was terrified to be honest. But I think the risk of coming was so worth it. It changed my life. I'm still scared to see how my life will change but I trust Jesus with my life."

"I loved being around a lot of youth my age. My church doesn't have a lot of young people who are serious about their faith. I was deeply encouraged to see the staff around me living as Jesus and teaching me and my new friends that my faith matters now as a young person."

"I loved staffing with Worldview. I learned so much about God, myself and others. It has made me realize I'm so much smaller than I think I am sometimes. Jesus is so much bigger and cares about His children so deeply. I'm thankful God used Worldview Academy to help me grow closer to Himself."
- Worldview Staffer

Are you in the word daily?
One of the biggest things Worldview Academy desires to teach every student is to be reading the Bible for themselves daily. We pray that students will grow in curiosity for the scriptures and desire to know Jesus more every day.

We want you to be a part of the greatest discipleship staff in America! There is still time to apply!

Staffing at Worldview Academy is more than a job! Staff are required to preach the gospel to every student with words, and even more with actions. You'll do this by building strong relationships, asking tough questions, and applying the lessons taught in lectures directly to the students’ lives. The demands are high, and the responsibilities are many, but the rewards are eternal.

A Worldview Academy staff member is a Christ-centered, “kid loving machine.” He or she loves teaching students to think and live biblically in every area of life, and gladly puts students’ needs ahead of his or her own. Worldview staff members also love spending lots of time with students; on the sports field, in the dorm, or over a meal.

Worldview Founder Runs for Congress

In 1996 Worldview was founded by four men called by God to train Christians to think and live with a biblical worldview so that they would serve Christ and lead the culture. Todd Kent (pictured above, with his wife, Brenda) was one of those founders and served as faculty for many years with Worldview.

Today, Todd is running for US Congress from the state of Texas.

You may know Todd, and even if you don’t, his fingerprints can be seen each summer at camp. We thought you’d like to know about Todd’s run for congress. To learn more about Todd and his campaign or to contact him visit his website. Todd Kent - Texas District 17

"Talking with my small group leader helped me ask questions I was afraid to ask. I really liked having a group that I could be honest with about my doubts and fears."

Our Story

The year was 1996. Bill Jack, Jeff Baldwin, Randy Sims, and Todd Kent envisioned a place where Christian students could learn to live courageously in the hope of Jesus. The four men came together, with differing gifts and talents, to realize this dream and create a community where young believers could seek a deeper understanding of their faith. Forty students and a handful of staff gathered in Tehuacana, Texas for a week-long, biblically-intensive summer camp centered on worldviews, apologetics, and servant leadership. Twenty one years, 303 camps, and over 35,000 students later, the mission is still the same: to train Christians to think and live in accord with a biblical worldview.
