St. Monica School PTO

In accordance with its mission, the St. Monica PTO has created this page in order to communicate quickly and effectively with its community.

In accordance with our mission, the St. Monica PTO has created this page in order to communicate quickly and effectively with our community about important activities and functions. In so doing, we hope to further work to promote a supportive, well-rounded and Christian educational environment. The PTO believes our activities should be an example of Christian community life. As Saint Paul writes in Chapter 4 of his letter to the Ephesians: “Bear with one another charitably, in complete selflessness, gentleness and patience. Do all you can to preserve the unity of the Spirit by the peace that binds you together. There is one Body, one Spirit, just as you were all called into one and the same hope when you were called…Never have grudges against others, or lose your temper, or raise your voice to anybody, or call each other names or allow any sort of spitefulness. Be friends with one another, and kind, forgiving each other as readily as God forgave you in Christ.”

Mission: The mission of St. Monica PTO is to promote the spiritual, educational and physical welfare of the children at St. Monica Catholic School. St. Monica PTO strives to foster a closer relationship among the home, church, and school.

Ever wondered what Mr. Riley's Catholic school days were like? Or what he reads on the weekend? Who would he most want to meet at any point in history? What is his vision for St. Monica in five years? 🧐🤔

Learn this and more during our fireside chat with Mr. Riley this Thursday morning. Saint Monica Dads' Club Dallas, Texas will give us an update on all things Gala 2020 and raffle prizes for ticket and sponsorship purchases during the meeting. 🎉

In other news, there are 17 days until Thanksgiving... 🦃😳

We hope everyone who joined us for our first-ever Friendsgiving Potluck meeting feasted and enjoyed the evening with friends! It was a great night - wish we caught everyone in the photo before they left.

Looking forward to seeing you at our Christmas Purse general meeting on 12/12 at 8am.

Don't forget - tomorrow is the first-ever Friendsgiving Potluck with a wine tasting with Scout and Cellar and dish voting (plus a little business to start with). Bring your favorite ladies - we'll see you there!

Ladies - come to this month's PTO general meeting on Thursday (this week!) to enjoy our first-ever Friendsgiving Potluck at Sparkman Club. Scout and Cellar will teach us how to pair wines with holiday dishes and taste their wines throughout! And Mr. Riley will provide us with school post-tornado updates.

This is for anyone you know in need of a fun night - particularly those affected by the tornado. We will also collect gift cards to grocery stores, Walmart, etc. to distribute to our community members who were affected so they have one less thing to stress about this holiday season.

Thanks to the generosity of our families and community, some PTO board members delivered more than 4,400 books this morning to Walnut Hill Elementary. 🙌🏼 📚

Next week, some of our parents will help sort through and organize to get their library set up. And we’ll have more books to deliver, too!

They are still looking for some donated supplies. Feel free to drop them off at the school if you are able! (List is second photo.)

It's almost the weekend...just a few things to remember before then.

Also...Spirit Store tomorrow! 🐾
