First Dallas Prison Ministry

Transforming the lives of those affected by incarceration one at a time through God’s Word.

Operating as usual

We are about helping men and women in their spiritual growth/journey as we serve and influence them through prison ministry. Join us @firstdallas for more information and ways to get involved.

[10/22/20]   This is one of the reasons we work with Exodus Ministries and why we do Angel Tree. We want to help make a better life for these little ones.

One of the many challenges that people leaving prison face is finding long-term employment. An article posted by Prison Fellowship explains the underlying reasons of this social condition. Are we, people who have been given a second chance through Christ, willing to give similar opportunities to those who have paid their debt and want to reach their full potential?
See the article here:
“Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Bibles are needed now more than ever.
Prisons across the country are on lockdown due to COVID-19, and Bibles are one of the only ways to still get hope behind prison bars. And nothing provides hope like the living Word of God.
The demand for Bibles is at an all-time high. Will you help us meet the need?”

Sharing hope and the Truth of God’s word.... one life at a time. ❤️

We rejoice in sharing the love of Christ, walking alongside your family and teaching the Truth of God’s word to generations. 🙏🏼

During these unprecedented times where volunteers and prisoners are unable to be physically together, Prison Fellowship developed a resource called Floodlight: a list of inspiring and educational digital resources wardens and chaplains can download for free and air on their internal television systems. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Join us this Sunday! 🙏🏼

“The Bible says God has an outrageous concern for justice, particularly for the poor and marginalized. He is outraged by injustice. But His forgiveness and goodness to us, even when we make huge mistakes or turn our backs on God, are also unexpected, amazing, and even outrageous”
What does it take to bring back God’s outrageous justice to our country? This is what the course “Outrageous Justice”, published by Prison Fellowship, helps you discover!

Our WHY: We have a passion to share the Gospel with those affected by incarceration through God’s word one life at a time so that they may experience freedom and salvation in Christ both behind and beyond the walls. Seeing others come to saving faith is a joy to witness! What is your why?

Today for Serve Dallas, our Prison Ministry team hosted August birthdays at @exodusministries! 🎉🎉

@prisonfellowship has helped to inform of us of ways to reach and teach others about what outrageous justice looks like! The study guide material, videos and book are great resources to get involved through practical ways for justice in your community. Learn more at: for the FREE material!

We ask that you pray with them and help them see God’s love, faithfulness and hope through every moment. #sharehope

Have you ever stopped to think how great the universe is, and still God hears the needy and does not despise those who are captive?
Freedom can only be found in Christ, and it’s a free gift. He will never ignore your need, no matter where you are.

Want to make a difference? Help us! ❤️🙏🏼

According to The Marshall Project, 48,764 people in prison have tested positive for COVID-19 as of 06/23/2020.
Let’s take a moment during this 4th of July to lift our prayers for these men and women, as well as the rest of the prison population.
“And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
‭‭James‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Happy Fourth of July! God bless America! 🎆

Do you love prison ministry? We do too! Read what serving in prison ministry @firstdallas means to one of our volunteers:

Scripture of the Day:

• Pray the Lord provides a way for those affected by incarceration to thrive in their situation

• Pray for peace in the Lord's goodness even in the midst of trail & tribulation

• Pray for healing—not only their hearts, but the hearts of their families and loved ones effected

Prayer is powerful and has bigger effects than we may see or realize. We trust God is in control and we believe He turns all things into good!
