10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:10-13
Last summer, we highlighted the work of Aaron and Alison LeBlanc Willis in Cambodia during VBS in the Missions Room. Many of you have asked over the year about how Aaron is doing. Alison covers him with scripture daily and God is truly their strength. God has sustained them. Aaron is not doing well this week. Please pray.
Chili cook off is coming up this week and we need YOUR help to make it happen! Our needs vary from cornbread, to desserts, to set up/clean up. View the sign up genius below to sign up and be a part of this fun night of fellowship.
Anybody know how the church is after tonight's tornadoes?
Garrett and I went to a Vietnamese market today to get some fruit from that area of the world for the VBS kids to try in the missions room. We are highlighting some work in Cambodia this year! ADULTS - we need more crew leaders!! You, too, could try this fruit! And lead a group of great kids.
Please pray for my cousin and your sister Venetia Stanfield Anders. She was in a serious wreck this morning. She is in critical condition. Was ejected from the car. Head injury, ruptured spleen, broke ribs, collapsed lungs. Touch & go for now. Her friend was driving and was killed in the accident. Her cousin, Eddie Hall Jr

Yesterday began likely the worst year yet for many of you who by the worldly political religion of our bigoted and narrow minded Protestant neighbors have brought great embarrassment on the Lord's Church these last two years.
It's so amusing to watch the Trump base with him now in the White House and their "Make America White and Protestant Again" hopes now collapsing in chaos about them as their beloved "Christian" leader proves to be the king of chronic liars and they now reject objective truth, embracing desperately the dark worldly political realm of "alternative facts." I continue to find it very hard to believe at least 70% of our brethren in the Church of Christ could have been swept up in this worldly false religious confusion, fear, and hate. Have they really completely forgotten that the Church of Christ differs most from all worldly religions in that we, the spiritual kingdom of God, are about the truth and serve a Lord who was the word of God become flesh.

This morning's second service. https://youtu.be/inM8WeixPsw

Prestoncrest is thankful to have been invited to and participated in the June 5th Prayer Vigil. It was a wonderful Friday evening! Neighbors from Lake Highlands/Hamilton Park/NE Dallas shared in a special evening of prayer and unity! It was a gathering of love, kindness, grace, peace, justice, mercy, honesty, sharing, listening, honoring, respecting, connecting, forgiving, praying, healing, hope, and commitment to one another. There were 350+ neighbors, visitors, families, friends, community partners, churches, police, schools in attendance. Good was happening. God was healing. Hope and love were building. And these continue! There is much work to do. We’re thankful for our sisters, brothers, and friends in our city. Neighbors loving neighbors (Mark 12). May God bless our next steps together.

"We were blessed to participate in our community prayer vigil Friday evening, July 5th. This was to better unite the neighbors in the Lake Highlands and Hamilton Park community. Our own Gary Cochran participated in the program. Good job, Gary. Please pray for our nation."
