GET HIGH Highlights: *Get intoxicated on the living Word of God. *Smoke the Holy Ghost and get drunk in the Spirit. People take hard-drugs just because they want to get high(this sometimes may mean to get powerful),enjoy the pleasure and feel on-top of the world. But,most times the hard-drugs have negative effects or get the upper hand. Others take substances because they are being overwhelmed by their situation, and so they think they need to take something that'll make their problems seem small. Most believe that such substances are an antidote for their depression.Alcohol could be a temporary solution to your depression, perhaps for some hours, but when your eyes cleared you find out that the problems are still there.Cigars, cigarettes, cocaine, marijuana etc.could get you high, but leaves you in a worse state. Every mentally challenged situation is satanically rooted.Depression, suicide, oppression, schizophrenic disorder/psychosis,epilepsy....are all handiwork of satan. While prescribed drugs from a psychiatrist could hep manage the problem to an extent, they cannot permanently solve it.The bad part of that is for the patient to become addicted to the prescribed drugs and could not on his/her own handle the situation.A psychologist could be necessary at this point to teach the patient tactics to handle his/her mind. This could be helpful to some degree. But,there's just more than science to handle a mental case. A boy the other day that was being cast into fire by a demonic spirit was bought to the disciples of Jesus, and they could not cast it out. They brought the boy to Jesus and He casted the demon out.Despite that Jesus rescued the situation by expelling the demons that were involved,He needed to put a bound on the demon never to enter the child again. You see, most often when Jesus set someone free,He tells them,to go and sin no more.Sin could bring the problem back.In other words,He was actually telling them to follow Him.They need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. When you do not fill the space where a demon has left,he comes back looking for a way to get back in with more stubborn co-demons. Humanly speaking, when someone get depressed,it always appeals to take or get involved in something that'll make you feel good about yourself. But,the real solution is actually to revisit who you are and what your assignment is in life. Elijah became depressed when he was threatened to be killed by Jezebel. He lost sight of who He was and God's calling upon his life. For God to restore Him back,He didn't show up in the things powerful that could have got anyone high.He was not in the earthquake, fire and wind.He manifested in a still small voice so as to calm his agitations. God first called to him,Elijah what are you doing here?He first appealed to his person. He was like saying, hey boy, don't you know who you are anymore.Secondly,He restored him back to his prophetic calling. He asked him to anoint Elisha in his place,Jehu as king of Israel and Hazael as king of Syria. He brought him back into his assignment. It was later that He let him realised that he was not alone. He said there were 7,000 saints that have not bowed to baal. You see, loneliness always acompany depression. It makes you loose direction. And that was what God was restoring. He gave Elijah back focus, direction and that's where power is. To be fully mentally healed: 1).The person must come to know who He is in Christ Jesus or give his/her to Christ if he/she has not done so. 2).The person must get involved in God's assignment for his/her life.If he/she has lost it,should get back to the calling. 3).You need to get God as the center of focus for your life. 4).You need to know that your chief-enemy had been defeated. Christ has paid the price for every diseases, attacks and problems. It's time you walked in Christ' victory. WHAT SHOULD GET YOU HIGH *The Word of God *The Holy Ghost. HOW TO GET HIGH *Feed on God's Word.Memorize the scriptures.Meditate on the Living Word of God.Read out what God says about you.Voice out who you're in Christ Jesus.Declare the enemy' defeat at Calvary.Confess your victory in Christ. *Get filled with the Holy Ghost. The best cocaine, marijuana the Holy Spirit.Smoke the Holy Ghost, drink Him like alcohol,or rather let Him be your alcohol. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NOW? Replace the substances you've using with God's Word and get filled with the Holy Spirit.Speak in tongues;it get you edified. As you pray in tongues, your problems are reduced to nothing.Hallelujah? Stephen Of God. BEHOLDING GOD'S BEAUTY. In Psalms27:4 David said,' gaze upon the beauty of the Lord....'There's something intriguing about God!Beauty isn't a word we normally associate with God.Yet it's the word David used on more than one occasion to speak of God's character and personality. There is perhaps no better way to enjoy God more than to see Him for who He really is.The more we meditate on the Scriptures, take to heart the breathtaking truths about God,and allow them to saturate our minds and emotions, the more we'll become fascinated by His beauty. Why do people sin? They sin because they enjoy the pleasure that it brings.Hebrews 11:25 speaks of the temporary pleasures of sin.No one sins out of duty.People sin because they believe the pleasure it brings is more satisfying than the pleasure obedience brings.Or as someone once said,"Sin is what you do when your heart is not satisfied with God."But,you see, beholding God's beauty will drive sin away from your heart and thoughts. Beholding the beauty of the Lord as in the beauty of His holiness(1Chronicles16:29) which actually refers to the beauty of who God is,is invigorating and enjoyable. It's also deeply transforming. This is what the apostle Paul was referring to in 2Corinthians 3:18:"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory".In other words,to behold Him is to be like Him.The more we meditate on the perfection and passions of God's character and personality, the more we'll become like our Father. God is holy.ln other words,God is beautiful. He's the antithesis of sin and evil. He's perfectly pure. He's unique and distinct from all others. He's a unique "Father". He's a unique "lover".And He calls us to love Him and experience Him.Becoming God's lover gives you complete access to behold His face. And having said that,l implies that sin is completely dead in your life. You're now privileged to tell of His beauty,to enjoy it and to live out His holiness. Love, Stephen.

[06/09/20]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*Scripture Treasure.*
*For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:"* Php 1:23.

*Insight and Highlight.*
Paul was at a crossroad: a point in his life when he had to make an important decision. Though he chose to be with Christ eternally, he chose to be earthily useful serving God by serving His people.
*Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.*
*And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;* Php 1:24-25.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
There will always be a time in our lives that we have to make important decisions. Do not hastily make decisions at crossroads.
The struggle between sin and holiness is real. There will be an aroused tension for us as this and many life decisions are always opposites and contrary to each other.
Rom 7:15 *For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.*
Rom 7:19: *For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do.*
Paul's crossroad in the foregoing texts and that of today was not strange to an apostle, once an evil perpetrator, who now found himself going through pain and suffering for the course of the gospel.
He obviously had a desire to please God and there is also a desire to seek to be taken away from the troubles and frustrations of this world to a place of rest and victory of Heaven. He considered being with God a better option, ref Php 1:23.
To choose to be with God is the desire of anyone who chooses to please God.
Though what necessitated this crossroad of thought was his persecutions, frustration especially from fellow believers and Jews, he patiently chose well.
He knew the choice to be with Christ will only be good if he chose to continue in the service of God here on earth.
God is looking for people who will decide for Him to further serve others.
Any time you are at a crossroad, not knowing what to do, place God's will, and the will of others before yours, you will live focused on God's work.
Always ask yourself self searching questions: If l fail to serve, who else would serve if everybody decided the way l had decided?
To stand strong for Christ is not always easy, but it is right and blessed by God. When we find ourselves standing at a crossroads, do not gaze into the choice of departing, or asking God to take you away, or look at those living for popularity and self-pleasure.
Choose to continue to serve!

*Word Action.*
We are called to serve.
Paul overcame his crossroad and his problem was solved when he further said though he looks forward to being with Christ but it was more neccesary that he remained alive so that he may remain and serve others for the progress of their joy in the faith (ref Php 1:24-25)

Lord, l choose to remain in your vineyard to fulfil your will and to serve others for the progress of their joy in Christ Jesus, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
*Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.* Heb 12:2

*Insight and Highlight.*
*Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.*
Heb 13:13.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Whenever you are despised for righteousness sake it is not against you, it is Christ that is despised, ref Acts 9:5.
Every reproach borne by the believer, every injustice against the just is an assault and dishonor to God.
So many strange and evil things are targeted against the believer. The justifiable become unjustifiable.
As believers, we must tread on this narrow road to enter through the narrow gate.
So many reproaches are associated with our strive to enter through the narrow gate, but once we are on it we are assured of Christ's presence.
It is a hard road, you have to be resilient to stay and enter through this gate.
Many will try to take a break from the faith, hoping to come back to assume their responsibilities but the scripture says this:
*When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:* Luke 13:25
The wide road may appear roomy and convenient but there are hidden dangers which will be made apparent and destructive. The end is regret and sorrow.
*Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.* Matt 7:13.
Stay on the narrow road to enter through the narrow gate.
Be focussed. Do not get lost, do not get on the wrong road!

*Word Action*
These are trying times and our faith is being tested. Evil seems to be taking over, but cannot take over.
This is how these trying times of plagues and evil vices cannot take over; by our resolve to maintain and sustain our
Stand with and for Jesus.
Work hard, strive to enter in at the strait gate!, ref Matt 7:13

*Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.* Luke 13:24
Lord help me to stand with You, never to forsake you. *"...let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream., in Jesus name. (Amos 5:24)

*Scripture Treasure.*
*But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.* Ps 55:23

*Insight and Highlight.*
Safety is not the absence of danger but the presence of God.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
In Kingdom warfare, there is the victor and the vanquished.
The enemy is destined for vanquish, while God assures us victory, in Christ Jesus.
A major condition to being a victor is to trust in the Lord.
For the Christian to be a victor, it is good for him to say he is on God's side but God must be on his side.
The devil goes for a kill, ref John 10:10, he does not joke about it.
As long as you trust God, He will more than complement your efforts to defeat those who trouble you.
2 Thes 1:6: *Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;*
Psalm 37:5-6: *Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.*
*And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.*
To slumber is to slump into enemy dragnet.
See yourself triumphing, awake, do not sleep, continue to trust in Christ!

*Word Action*
*Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.* Ps 37:7

1 Thess 1:7-8:
*And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,*
*In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:*, in Jesus name

Good morning all and be blessed as you worship our Lord Jesus.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
*I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.* Php 3:15

*Insight and Highlight.*
Fix your eyes on the high calling you have been called in Christ

*Scripture Commentaries*
We must not rely on our strength or our own exertion. We must remember we ourselves were only grasped or apprehended at conversion by the saving hand of Christ out of whose hand no man could pluck us.
From the moment Christ took hold of us, we are to run the race and end with a prize.
A person will be stretching by his own exertion, when he competes to succeed or compares himself with another.
A sport athletes competes to win by his strength but we run the race to win by Christ who crowns our individual efforts with the grace and strength He gives us.
We will gain the prize, but it needs the continued effort of a lifetime.
We could not already be made perfect, we could not even say we have even reached perfection as Paul said because we are still working on our salvation to make ourselves perfect so we can win the prize!
Php 3:12: *I do not claim that I have already succeeded or have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself.*

We therefore, press on to lay hold of the prize, because Christ first laid hold of us. It is this grace that Jesus furnished in us that gives us the highest motive to press on always in the Christian race to fulfill the purpose for which we were first apprehended and called to duty by Christ.
Php 3:13,16: *Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, …*

*Word Action.*
There are forces pulling us back but we must press forward towards the mark for the prize.
*I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.* Php 3:14

Lord, help me not to frustrate the grace of the high calling first bestowed upon me at conversion, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
*Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,* Php 3:13

*Insight and Highlight.*
Do not be distracted. God is counting on you to finish what He had called you to do.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
The grace of the Lord Jesus furnishes the highest motive; to press on always in the Christian race, to fulfil what Christ first called him for.
To do so, you need to do away with distractions. Paul says *"....but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind..*
Distractions are one of many vision killers. It can come in many ways, through bad counsel, bad company, if you are too full of discontentment, never satisfied, having always something to complain about. All these find fulfillment in prayerlessness and inability to encourage someone or be encouraged by someone.
If you allow people to distract you, you may end up losing out totally.
The reserved eternal crown meant for a saint can be taken away from him, if he loses his faith.
Remember, not merely "take away" from thee, ( ref 1 John 3:5) but another person or saint can "receive" for himself, ref Matt 5:40.
So what belongs to you can be given to another, what you fail to cherish, others who cherish will have it Matt 25:28-29.
If your distrators find their way back to Christ, they will get their crowns.
*Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.* Rev 3:11

*Word Action.*
A crown awaits you and it shall be *"...according to what your work shall be ",* ref Rev 22: 12.
Keep on the good service in the Lord. God is counting on you to finish well.

Lord, help me that l do not disappoint the confidence you have in me.
Let no one take my crown, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

[06/04/20]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*Scripture Treasure.*
*I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.* Php 3:14

*Insight and Highlight.*
An eager and committed runner strives daily to grasp the prize.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
The faith we profess is a race in which we engage in a good fight.
There are two words used by our Lord Jesus, that go before us namely:
First, "to be perfected" to signify His death (Luke 13:32), *"...and the third day I shall be perfected."*
The other is "made perfect" to signify the condition of the glorified …Hebrews 5:9: *And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.*
Thus, we race to be perfected and are made perfect when we finish well at the end of the race.
Like an eager runner willing to win, we stretch out continually to get the prize.
We can finish well only having attained completeness and perfection through being one and united to the Lord Jesus Christ.
This completeness furnishes us with all that is required for our collective perfection and since Christ is head over principality and power, we also with authority can destroy, disengage the activities of satan, demons and his agents.
To finish well requires we be one in and with Christ.
Are you united or one with Christ?.
Be sure you are!

*Word Action*
Col 2:10: *And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:*
The requirement for completeness and perfection is the key word ...*"ye are complete in him"*...

May you be made perfect and complete in Christ.
May you be filled with all the fulness of God and grow into the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize. 1 Cor 9:24

*Insight and Highlight.*
If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out how do you race with men on horses?

*Scripture Commentaries.*
We are in a race for time, ref John 9:4. We are in a race to win the prize and finish well, 2 Tim 4:7-8.
We are also in a race with men, we fight against enemy attacks militating against our ending well. If we get tired with enemies, some that we see, how do we race to fight against Egypians on horses; principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world?
Be strong, do not give up. You will end well.

*Word Action.*
Our Christian race is not against each other, it is a race against the kingdom of darkness.
You will not give up because God has not given up on you.

*Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.* Isaiah 31:3
Every force that rises to militate against your success shall fail, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

*Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors.*
*Therefore David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the Lord said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.* 1Sam 23:1-2

*Insight and Highlight.*
*Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.* Prov 13:16

*Scripture Commentaries.*
The Holy Spirit works in diverse ways.
One of the ways He helps us is by using people to give us classified information vital to us when we least expected one.
When you are at work, going for an interview, etc, vital information may be loosely released that may be helpful. You do not need to eavesdrop, you can overhear a useful and correct information.
Put your ears to the ground, do due dilligent search for information, update and educate yourself, be sensitive to the Spirit, be circumspect, vital information is released almost everytime.
We are in the age of information and not all information is rumour.
Keeping abreast with what is going on around you will help you discern vital information when they come to you.
David was informed of the insurgence of the Philistines. He immediately knew the information was for him.The information moved him to seek God's face. He did not seek God to check the correctness of the information but to ask God how he should attack the Phillistines back. Why? He had an understanding of the times he was in.
He conquered by responding to vital information
Stay informed and be educated .
Do not despise vital information.
Do not sleep through this information age! Be not ignorant. May you hear what the Spirit wants you to hear.
Walk in the Spirit, hear what the Spirit is saying and most importantly be sure it is the Spirit speaking.

*Word Action.*
*A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:* Prov 1:5.

*Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.* Prov 13:16
Lord help me to handle vital information wisely. Do not let me despise knowledge in Jesus name.

The theme for this month is found in Mark 4:9: *And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear*.
Good morning all and have a blessed month and day as you go today.

God bless you.
