GET HIGH Highlights: *Get intoxicated on the living Word of God. *Smoke the Holy Ghost and get drunk in the Spirit. People take hard-drugs just because they want to get high(this sometimes may mean to get powerful),enjoy the pleasure and feel on-top of the world. But,most times the hard-drugs have negative effects or get the upper hand. Others take substances because they are being overwhelmed by their situation, and so they think they need to take something that'll make their problems seem small. Most believe that such substances are an antidote for their depression.Alcohol could be a temporary solution to your depression, perhaps for some hours, but when your eyes cleared you find out that the problems are still there.Cigars, cigarettes, cocaine, marijuana etc.could get you high, but leaves you in a worse state. Every mentally challenged situation is satanically rooted.Depression, suicide, oppression, schizophrenic disorder/psychosis,epilepsy....are all handiwork of satan. While prescribed drugs from a psychiatrist could hep manage the problem to an extent, they cannot permanently solve it.The bad part of that is for the patient to become addicted to the prescribed drugs and could not on his/her own handle the situation.A psychologist could be necessary at this point to teach the patient tactics to handle his/her mind. This could be helpful to some degree. But,there's just more than science to handle a mental case. A boy the other day that was being cast into fire by a demonic spirit was bought to the disciples of Jesus, and they could not cast it out. They brought the boy to Jesus and He casted the demon out.Despite that Jesus rescued the situation by expelling the demons that were involved,He needed to put a bound on the demon never to enter the child again. You see, most often when Jesus set someone free,He tells them,to go and sin no more.Sin could bring the problem back.In other words,He was actually telling them to follow Him.They need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. When you do not fill the space where a demon has left,he comes back looking for a way to get back in with more stubborn co-demons. Humanly speaking, when someone get depressed,it always appeals to take or get involved in something that'll make you feel good about yourself. But,the real solution is actually to revisit who you are and what your assignment is in life. Elijah became depressed when he was threatened to be killed by Jezebel. He lost sight of who He was and God's calling upon his life. For God to restore Him back,He didn't show up in the things powerful that could have got anyone high.He was not in the earthquake, fire and wind.He manifested in a still small voice so as to calm his agitations. God first called to him,Elijah what are you doing here?He first appealed to his person. He was like saying, hey boy, don't you know who you are anymore.Secondly,He restored him back to his prophetic calling. He asked him to anoint Elisha in his place,Jehu as king of Israel and Hazael as king of Syria. He brought him back into his assignment. It was later that He let him realised that he was not alone. He said there were 7,000 saints that have not bowed to baal. You see, loneliness always acompany depression. It makes you loose direction. And that was what God was restoring. He gave Elijah back focus, direction and that's where power is. To be fully mentally healed: 1).The person must come to know who He is in Christ Jesus or give his/her to Christ if he/she has not done so. 2).The person must get involved in God's assignment for his/her life.If he/she has lost it,should get back to the calling. 3).You need to get God as the center of focus for your life. 4).You need to know that your chief-enemy had been defeated. Christ has paid the price for every diseases, attacks and problems. It's time you walked in Christ' victory. WHAT SHOULD GET YOU HIGH *The Word of God *The Holy Ghost. HOW TO GET HIGH *Feed on God's Word.Memorize the scriptures.Meditate on the Living Word of God.Read out what God says about you.Voice out who you're in Christ Jesus.Declare the enemy' defeat at Calvary.Confess your victory in Christ. *Get filled with the Holy Ghost. The best cocaine, marijuana the Holy Spirit.Smoke the Holy Ghost, drink Him like alcohol,or rather let Him be your alcohol. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NOW? Replace the substances you've using with God's Word and get filled with the Holy Spirit.Speak in tongues;it get you edified. As you pray in tongues, your problems are reduced to nothing.Hallelujah? Stephen Of God. BEHOLDING GOD'S BEAUTY. In Psalms27:4 David said,' gaze upon the beauty of the Lord....'There's something intriguing about God!Beauty isn't a word we normally associate with God.Yet it's the word David used on more than one occasion to speak of God's character and personality. There is perhaps no better way to enjoy God more than to see Him for who He really is.The more we meditate on the Scriptures, take to heart the breathtaking truths about God,and allow them to saturate our minds and emotions, the more we'll become fascinated by His beauty. Why do people sin? They sin because they enjoy the pleasure that it brings.Hebrews 11:25 speaks of the temporary pleasures of sin.No one sins out of duty.People sin because they believe the pleasure it brings is more satisfying than the pleasure obedience brings.Or as someone once said,"Sin is what you do when your heart is not satisfied with God."But,you see, beholding God's beauty will drive sin away from your heart and thoughts. Beholding the beauty of the Lord as in the beauty of His holiness(1Chronicles16:29) which actually refers to the beauty of who God is,is invigorating and enjoyable. It's also deeply transforming. This is what the apostle Paul was referring to in 2Corinthians 3:18:"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory".In other words,to behold Him is to be like Him.The more we meditate on the perfection and passions of God's character and personality, the more we'll become like our Father. God is holy.ln other words,God is beautiful. He's the antithesis of sin and evil. He's perfectly pure. He's unique and distinct from all others. He's a unique "Father". He's a unique "lover".And He calls us to love Him and experience Him.Becoming God's lover gives you complete access to behold His face. And having said that,l implies that sin is completely dead in your life. You're now privileged to tell of His beauty,to enjoy it and to live out His holiness. Love, Stephen.

*Scripture Treasure.*
Exodus 12:12-13 ► *For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.*
*And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.*

*Insight and Higlight.*
Hebrews 11:28 ► *By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch Israel's own firstborn.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*
God gave Moses a directive for the nation of Israel concerning the wrath to come on the children of disobedience, ref Col 3:6.
There is a time when the patience of God runs out, and His anger takes over.
There are Angels of God that destroy, ref Psalm 78: 49, where God unleashed “a band of destroying angels”
When the sins of the people had reached a point of no return, God's judgment becomes imminent and unstoppable.
Pharaoh and Egypt had reached a point where judgment must come upon them.
However, God informed the Israelites of the blood that shall be to them *"for a token"*.
This blood was not to be just a token to the Israelites, but one from God for them.
The blood of Jesus cannot be too much or too little.
It is a perfect blood perfect for all divine purpose and assignment.
It distinguished the houses in which the Israelites dwelt from those of the Egyptians.
May the Lord protect you from the wrath to come on the children of disobedience.

*Remorse corner.*
Let the Lord be on your side and be on the Lord's side, also.
God can spare us of the devil's attack, but who can deliver anyone from His anger?
Nahum 1:6 ► *Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.*

*Call to Word action.*
Job 5:19 ► *He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.*

Psalm 91:5-6, 9-10 ►
*Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;*
Nor for the pestilence
that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that
wasteth at noonday.
*Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;*
*There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.* Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
Ecclesiastes 7:29 ► *Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
God has made things upright, but the world today, is hardly found in the love for God, but in man's perverse and addicted will.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
In Gen 1:27 ► *So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.*
The devil was envious so he deceived Eve to convince her than man can actually be like God knowing good and evil, ref Gen 3: 6, 7.
Adam and Eve fell and along with this fall the world is still in chaos today and badly influenced by the devil who excercises considerable control.
With this also came man's inventions. *" But men have sought out many inventions*. The term implies works of invention, and is translated "engines," i.e. devices, etc.
Inventions have played major roles in improving the world through scientific discoveries, communication etc. Even in bible days inventions were answers to nations' victory at war, 2 Chron 26: 15.
However, it has been proved also that our excess love for these inventions have brought excruciating pain and evil to us.
Cyber crimes: scams, pornography, weapons of mass destruction, etc are some of many sad consequences of man's inventions.
Only all that God created in His uprightness is without any iota of fault. If we place our priorities right in God and work through these inventions with the love of God, the world will be a better place than we have it today.
Our excessive love for these inventions has left too little or no space for the love for God, His word and for our fellow humans.
The world, today, loves and is addicted to these inventions more than God's uprightness..
We have misplaced priorities. We need to go back to the drawing board.
Inventions will be outdated but the word of God stands sure, forever.
God created us in love and we are created to be loved. Things invented were created to be used. What we see however, is inventions are loved and people are used.
By loving inventions over our love for others, we have abased our God given will and missed priorities.
This is the reason why the world is in chaos today.
If the world has misplaced its priorities, we ought not!

*Remorse corner.*
Examine your love for your devices compared to the love you have for God.
You carry your phone with you always, spend much time on its use but do you carry your bible as well or even do you spend as much time on the bible App on it, (that is even, if there is one on it)?
Psalm 119:97 ► *O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.*

*Call to Word action.*
Let us love God and ourselves and employ the use of inventions after God's uprightness. Anything outside this, brings unspeakable evil.
Psalm 119:96 ► *I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.*

Galatians 5:24 ► *And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.*
Lord, you have made me upright. Let me love you above all and crucify all other affections and lusts, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have and be blessed as we worship the King today.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
Gen 41:1 ► *And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.*

*lnsight and Highlight.*
Though unknown to us, God works in the lives of people that matter so as to make our lives matter.

*Scriptures Commentaries.*
In Gen 41 we are again shown how God worked in the lives of Pharaoh and Joseph in order to control the destinies of His people.
Pharaoh slept and had two dreams in quick succession but without having an understanding of what they meant.
Joseph was brought out of prison and his successful interpretation brought him into a place of influence in Egypt.
This was the begining of "what would be" for Israel. It marked their exodus to Egypt as God had said to Abraham.
There in Egypt, they became a great nation and even multiplied to the envy of their enemies, Exd 1:1-10.
God is always working something out, though unknown us.
As He made king Ahasuerus lose his sleep in order that Mordecai may receive honor (Esther 6:1) so now he made one to sleep and dream yet woke up troubled so that Joseph could receive elevation.
God has and is still using divinely inspired dreams as agencies of destinies.
Daniel was promoted to high office in Babylon by God through God's revelation to him of the interpretation to the dream of Nebuchadnezzar.
Divinely inspired dreams are foreshadows of our great and illustrious future.
In your waiting time, rather than blaspheme God, believe God.
Believe He is giving someone a dream, a directive to bring about your elevation.
Let us be assured, God has not abandoned us!

*Remorse corner*
God is busy working something out. Though everything may look as if He is not doing anything. Always remember He is up to something.

*Call to Word action.*
Hebrews 13:5 ► *"...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.*

Hebrews 13:6 ► *So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.*, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
Esther 6:1 ► *On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
God watches over you, without ceasing!
Psalm 121: 3-4 ► *He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.*
*Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*
God places great value in good sleep.
In Gen 2:21, He *"..caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept:..*
He cherishes it so well that in Psalm 127:2 that God *"..giveth his beloved sleep.*
Sleeplessness is an indication of a medical condition. Only God dwells in a perfect existence needing no sleep and is never fatigued.
In our scripture of today, we see how God used sleeplessness to bring about the exaltation of Mordecai by his enemy, ref Esther 6:2-11.
It again explains that God is not a prisoner of His sovereign will. He can do anything to achieve His purpose.
The providential working of God is clearly evident in His interventions in all nations, kings, subjects, animals etc.
Though, He does not sleep, He causes to sleep and causes to keep awake.
This exhibition of God's power illustrates to us that day and night, God specially watches over those who are faithful.

*Remorse corner.*
While some slept and the enemy sowed tares, God protects His faithfuls, shaping their destinies to accomplish His Divine will for them.
Remain faithful to Him.

*Call to Word action.*
All nations are subject to God's interventions and control.
1 Sam 2:8 ► *"....for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.*

May God cause sleeplessness in the life of your helpers in order to bring about your exaltation in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.

[10/08/20]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Psalm 118:16-17 ► *The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.*
*I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
1 Cor 1:10 ► *Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;*

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Only God is able to deliver anyone from death.
When the threat of death comes, fear comes on us all. In fact, the greatest threat we face is that of losing trust in God such that we feel or seek who else could save us.
Rom 7:24 ► *O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?.
Paul however immediately says in Rom 7:24 ► *I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.*
Paul informs us that when we are under the threat of death, we should trust in no other than God.
Paul says in 2 Cor 1:9 ► *Indeed, we felt we were under the sentence of death, in order that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead.*
Life will bring threats, challenges but let us be assured, we will not be consumed.
2 Cor 6:9 ► * unknown, yet well-known; dying, and yet we live on; punished, yet not killed;*

*Remorse corner.*
Let us set our hope in God.
1 Tim 4:10 ► *To this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.*

*Call to word action.*
Let us receive strength from the one who is able to save from death.
Hebrews 5:7 ► *Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;*

Psalm 118:16-17 ► *I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.*, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

1 COR 8:1

*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Kings 2:27 ► *So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
Jesus says Matthew 24:35 ► *Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.*
Isaiah 40:8 ► *The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Many years had passed since a man of God had prophesied to Eli concerning an imminent judgment over his house, ref 1 Sam 2:27-36. God further spoke about the house of Eli to young Samuel in 1 Sam 3:12-14.
God's word spoken in the prophetic, at times, if not always, takes either of two ways:
The first way, using the prophetic word for the house of Eli as an example, takes immediate effect.
In 1 Sam 4: 10-22 where the ark of God was taken and Eli and his sons died on the same day. Here the word of judgment spoken in 1 Sam 3:31-34 was quickly fulfilled.
The second way God's word manifest is that it may cover a long period of time.
In our scripture of today, we see that the removal of Abiathar, a priest in the lineage of Eli was now being fulfilled. God had said in 1 Sam 2: 32-33, that there will be no male in the house of Eli and he shall cut them off from the altar.
The generation of Samuel, David had passed, the fulfillment came in the time of Solomon.
God's word may involve a long span of time even generations, we must know that the passage of time cannot overtake or nullify His word. His word will be fully fulfilled.
God never forgets. In fact He watches over His word to perform it.
Jeremiah 1:12 ► *Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.*
Do you feel God's words are not being fulfilled in your life? Pray until you receive fulfillment. Note: do not allow sin to stand in your way.
Believe, there shall be a performance of His word in your life, ref Luke 1:45.
God magnifies His word above His name, ref Psalm 138:2.

*Remorse corner.*
We must never play down God's emotions. When God speaks judgment, we can call upon God to avert His judgment and ask that mercy will speak for us. In His wrath, He can remember mercy. Eli failed here, and judgment was inevitable and it came to pass.

*Call to Word action.*
Psalm 119:89 ► *For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.*
Believe His good promises will come to pass in your life

Lord remove your anger over me, let not your judgment come over me or my household.
Let your good promises for my life come to pass quickly and without delay, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

*Scripture Treasure.*
Matthew 7:7-8 ► *Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:*
*For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
You can receive more, if you ask aright.
James 4:3 ► *Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Do not underestimate the power of God to give more.
The bible gives us two reasons, amongst many, why we do not receive from God,
These are:
First, if we fail to ask from God
Second, if we ask amiss that we may consume our lust
God is not limited in His ability to give.
In expressing His love, He gave greater love;
John 15:13 ► *Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.*

*Remorse corner.*
Ask for more according to His will.

*Call to Word action*
Just ask rightly!

Mark 11:24 ► *Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.*
Lord, l believe. Let me receive as l speak to you, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.

[10/05/20]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Cor 8:9 ► *For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
People, in their quest for more become covetous, yet will not be satisfied.
Luke 12:15 ► *And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Having more in life does not bring contentment or satisfaction.
Having more in life has not guaranteed merriment. Solomon says in Eccl 5:12 ►
*" for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep.*
Only in Christ can more be merrier.
Christ gives riches and add no sorrow, Prov 10:22.
Having more outside Christ has shown to never satisfy anyone.
Jesus in our scripture of today says a man's life is not determined by the abundance of the things he possesses.
Solomon in Eccl 5:10 says: *He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.*
The human mind can never be satisfied.
Solomon further says in Eccl 4:8 ► *There is a man all alone, without even a son or brother. And though there is no end to his labor, his eyes are still not content with his wealth: "For whom do I toil and bereave my soul of enjoyment?" This too is futile--a miserable task.*
Eccl 1:8 ► *All things are wearisome, more than one can describe; the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear content with hearing.*
There is more than life can give in Christ.
He makes more, merrier.

*Remorse corner.*
Our only trustworthy Friend is Jesus.
God is not only able to give us "somethings". He can give us "all things".
Rom 8:32 ► *He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?*

*Call to Word action.*
Jesus, the trustworthy one, who became poor that you may be rich has more to give you in life.

2 Cor 9:8 ► *And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.*
Lord, help me so that in all things, l will have all that l need, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
