GET HIGH

Highlights:
*Get intoxicated on the living Word of God.
*Smoke the Holy Ghost and get drunk in the Spirit.

People take hard-drugs just because they want to get high(this sometimes may mean to get powerful),enjoy the pleasure and feel on-top of the world. But,most times the hard-drugs have negative effects or get the upper hand.
Others take substances because they are being overwhelmed by their situation, and so they think they need to take something that'll make their problems seem small.
Most believe that such substances are an antidote for their depression.Alcohol could be a temporary solution to your depression, perhaps for some hours, but when your eyes cleared you find out that the problems are still there.Cigars, cigarettes, cocaine, marijuana etc.could get you high, but leaves you in a worse state.

Every mentally challenged situation is satanically rooted.Depression, suicide, oppression, schizophrenic disorder/psychosis,epilepsy....are all handiwork of satan. While prescribed drugs from a psychiatrist could hep manage the problem to an extent, they cannot permanently solve it.The bad part of that is for the patient to become addicted to the prescribed drugs and could not on his/her own handle the situation.A psychologist could be necessary at this point to teach the patient tactics to handle his/her mind. This could be helpful to some degree. But,there's just more than science to handle a mental case.
A boy the other day that was being cast into fire by a demonic spirit was bought to the disciples of Jesus, and they could not cast it out. They brought the boy to Jesus and He casted the demon out.Despite that Jesus rescued the situation by expelling the demons that were involved,He needed to put a bound on the demon never to enter the child again. You see, most often when Jesus set someone free,He tells them,to go and sin no more.Sin could bring the problem back.In other words,He was actually telling them to follow Him.They need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. When you do not fill the space where a demon has left,he comes back looking for a way to get back in with more stubborn co-demons.

Humanly speaking, when someone get depressed,it always appeals to take or get involved in something that'll make you feel good about yourself. But,the real solution is actually to revisit who you are and what your assignment is in life.
Elijah became depressed when he was threatened to be killed by Jezebel. He lost sight of who He was and God's calling upon his life. For God to restore Him back,He didn't show up in the things powerful that could have got anyone high.He was not in the earthquake, fire and wind.He manifested in a still small voice so as to calm his agitations.
God first called to him,Elijah what are you doing here?He first appealed to his person. He was like saying, hey boy, don't you know who you are anymore.Secondly,He restored him back to his prophetic calling. He asked him to anoint Elisha in his place,Jehu as king of Israel and Hazael as king of Syria. He brought him back into his assignment. It was later that He let him realised that he was not alone. He said there were 7,000 saints that have not bowed to baal. You see, loneliness always acompany depression. It makes you loose direction. And that was what God was restoring. He gave Elijah back focus, direction and that's where power is.

To be fully mentally healed:
1).The person must come to know who He is in Christ Jesus or give his/her to Christ if he/she has not done so.
2).The person must get involved in God's assignment for his/her life.If he/she has lost it,should get back to the calling.
3).You need to get God as the center of focus for your life.
4).You need to know that your chief-enemy had been defeated.
Christ has paid the price for every diseases, attacks and problems. It's time you walked in Christ' victory.

WHAT SHOULD GET YOU HIGH
*The Word of God
*The Holy Ghost.

HOW TO GET HIGH
*Feed on God's Word.Memorize the scriptures.Meditate on the Living Word of God.Read out what God says about you.Voice out who you're in Christ Jesus.Declare the enemy' defeat at Calvary.Confess your victory in Christ.
*Get filled with the Holy Ghost. The best cocaine, marijuana etc.is the Holy Spirit.Smoke the Holy Ghost, drink Him like alcohol,or rather let Him be your alcohol.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NOW?
Replace the substances you've using with God's Word and get filled with the Holy Spirit.Speak in tongues;it get you edified.
As you pray in tongues, your problems are reduced to nothing.Hallelujah?

Stephen Of God.

BEHOLDING GOD'S BEAUTY.

In Psalms27:4 David said,'...to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord....'There's something intriguing about God!Beauty isn't a word we normally associate with God.Yet it's the word David used on more than one occasion to speak of God's character and personality. There is perhaps no better way to enjoy God more than to see Him for who He really is.The more we meditate on the Scriptures, take to heart the breathtaking truths about God,and allow them to saturate our minds and emotions, the more we'll become fascinated by His beauty.

Why do people sin? They sin because they enjoy the pleasure that it brings.Hebrews 11:25 speaks of the temporary pleasures of sin.No one sins out of duty.People sin because they believe the pleasure it brings is more satisfying than the pleasure obedience brings.Or as someone once said,"Sin is what you do when your heart is not satisfied with God."But,you see, beholding God's beauty will drive sin away from your heart and thoughts.
Beholding the beauty of the Lord as in the beauty of His holiness(1Chronicles16:29) which actually refers to the beauty of who God is,is invigorating and enjoyable. It's also deeply transforming. This is what the apostle Paul was referring to in 2Corinthians 3:18:"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory".In other words,to behold Him is to be like Him.The more we meditate on the perfection and passions of God's character and personality, the more we'll become like our Father.

God is holy.ln other words,God is beautiful. He's the antithesis of sin and evil. He's perfectly pure. He's unique and distinct from all others. He's a unique "Father". He's a unique "lover".And He calls us to love Him and experience Him.Becoming God's lover gives you complete access to behold His face. And having said that,l implies that sin is completely dead in your life. You're now privileged to tell of His beauty,to enjoy it and to live out His holiness.

Love,
Stephen.

[02/11/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*LISTEN MORE, TALK LESS (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Proverbs 17:9 ► *He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
Proverbs 13:3 ► *He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*
The scripture says in Eccl 1:8 *"...eye is not satisfied with seeing,.."*. This informs us that it is not all the eyes see, that should be uttered by the mouth. You just cannot utter all your eyes have seen. You will either miss some or add more of your own.
The truly wise person restrains his words,
Proverbs 17:27 ► *He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.*
We must live by discretion. We have a moral right to decide what to say at a particular situation to avoid crisis and fueling an already bad situation. Only through God's wisdom and knowledge can we be perfect in what or not to say.
Proverbs 2:10 ► *When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;*
*Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:*

*Remorse corner.*
Many have got into serious trouble by the words of their mouth.
Proverbs 17:28 ► *Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.*

*Call to Word action*
Ecclesiastes 5:2 ►
*"Be not rash with thy mouth,...."*
Be guided by discretion. Psalm 112:5 ► *A good man sheweth favour,...: he will guide his affairs with discretion.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*
Matthew 12:36 ► *But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.*

*Prayer*
Ecclesiastes 5:3 ► *For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.*
James 1:19 ► *Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.*
Lord help me not to sin by my words, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

[02/10/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*LISTEN MORE, TALK LESS.*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Proverbs 10:19 ► *In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
When you talk too much, you are saying what you already know. When you listen, you will learn new things you did not know

*Scripture Commentaries.*
We cannot always keep our silence. There are times when keeping silence is not golden. Rev Martin Luther King said: (quote) "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
Therefore to talk is good but it has been proven, through Word spoken and written that too much talk cannot mend a fault.
We fall into an error when we talk too much. We must know that for one sin that may be committed by keeping silent where it would be well to speak, there would be hundreds of sin we will commit by talking too much.
People who talk too much will end up talking to the wrong people and wrong people are grassroot breeds of talebearers.
They will not stop talking and they find their footholds on gossips, dividing good and meaningful friends.
Proverbs 26:20 ► *Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.*

*Remorse corner.*
Too much talk and sin are companions.
Proverbs 15:1 ► *A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.*

*Call to Word action.*
Too much talk will hammer and dwell on strife until good friends are separated .
Proverbs 17:9 ► *He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends*

*The Christian clarion duty.*
Proverbs 18:2 ► *Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.*

*Prayer.*
James 3:2 ► *For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.*
Lord, let me not offend you by my words, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

[02/09/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY*

*"...AN ATTITUDE OR ATTRIBUTE?*

*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Samuel 25:25 ► *Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
Attitude is way of behaviour, while an attribute is an mark of quality. Attrubute is not common to all. It is one found on peculiar qualitative character of incomparable distinctiveness.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
People often develop an attitude when they feel they have everything and they do not need anyone.
Attitude is a settled way of behaviour, it can either be good or bad. Usually when people are referred as having "an attitude", it is an expression of the person's bad behavior. A behavioral pattern of a person typically reflected in their behavior. It is often reflected in uncooperative behavior; an unfriendly manner.
An attribute is a mark of distinction,
It is of high quality, a peculiarity, a hallmark, a mark of distinction.
A distinctive trait inherent in an individual that finds expression in a mark of excellence.
Do you have an attitude or both a good attitude expressed in distinctive attributes?
Nabal had an attitude, a very bad one and it became his mark of recklessness and a mark of insensitivity to human needs.
David sent men to request help from Nabal.
He defiantly refused with the highest degree of rudeness.
David vowed to kill all the males in his house. It was the intervention of Abigail who saved the day of evil for Nabal's household, ref 1 Sam 25:24-26.
Do you have an attitude or
attribute?

*Remorse corner.*
Choose a good attitude. Such good attitude will help towards developing a sound attribute for you.

*Call to Word action.*
No matter how noble a man may be either by virtue of his office or influence, there can be no honor than that of a fool given to such person.
Isaiah 32:5 ► *No longer will a fool be called noble, nor a scoundrel said to be important.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*
A good attribute will change someone with an attitude.
Gal 6:1 ► *Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.*

*Prayer*
Philp 2:5 ► *Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:*
Lord, give me the both Godly attitude and attribute after Christ, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have blessed day.

God bless you.

[02/08/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*JOSEPH: AN EXAMPLE OF PAINFUL FORGIVENESS.*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Genesis 45:2-3 ► *And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.*
*And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
If you think it is difficult to forgive, it will be more difficult not to forgive.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Joseph exemplifies an unforgettable example of painful but necessary forgiveness.
To many, if not all, forgiveness may be hard.
If forgiveness is difficult for you, it will be more difficult for you not to forgive.
Besides Jesus's first word on the cross "Father forgive them" ref Luke 23:34 , He resolutely said if we do not forgive others their trespasses, our heavenly father will not forgive, ref Matt 6:15
Joseph, after much emotional resistance, finally broke out in tears revealing his identity before his brothers, ref Gen 45:2.
It was a painful experience but it was necessary that the purpose of God might be declared that for every challenge a child of God faces, God will bring good out it, ref Gen 50:20.

*Remorse corner*
Anytime you hurt someone, remember also how painful it was for them to bear your offense.

*Call to Word action.*
For Joseph, besides God, Benjamin was a central point through which Joseph's reconciliation was built, ref Gen 45:14. His love for Benjamin was too much to be lost.

*The Christian clarion duty.*
There is a good reason to forgive by remembering at least one good deed. It may not necessarily be a previous good deed from the offender, but a reminder of God's plan in forgiveness and reconciliation.

*Prayer.*
Romans 14:19 ► *Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.*
Lord, help me to seek peace and pursue it, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.

FEBRUARY 2021 THANKSGIVING SERVICE

[02/07/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*PATIENCE AND OBEDIENCE.*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Exodus 12:12 ► *And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
Prov 1:7 ► *The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.*
Failing to patiently wait and obey instructions are major causes of delay.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
God is not slack concerning His promises.
The Israelites would have missed out on their time of deliverance if they had failed to obey God's instructions for the Passover.
Now, it was time for their deliverance, they must "eat..in a haste.."
Do not be in too much of a haste to refuse instructions. Haste is justified only under God's order.
What we call "delay" can descibed as a process of "met-a-mor-pho-sis", where God will patiently wait to perfect your change and transformation in the fullness of time.
In zoology, the study of animal science and kingdom or in the study of insect of amphibian, no animal, insect or amphibian is too much in a hurry to skip the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult.
So also is human gestation.
They are processes of change that are by Divine instructions and must be followed. It is beyond any being meant for survival, to skip it.
God does things at the fullness of time, Gal 4:4.
Remember, there is a unique attribute of God called Transcedence: God is beyond the human mind and He dwells in perfect existence independent of His creation. He does as He pleases.
Just believe, if He promises you, your time will come!

*Remorse corner.*
No one has ever died, truly waiting on God, ls 40:31.
If you grow to know God through His knowledge made available, you will receive the promise of God.
Hebrews 10:36 ► *For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.*

*Call to Word action.*
Listen carefully to instructions.
God will not give indefinite promises. Not giving you a time is tantamount to giving you a time in "the waiting room"; expressed in "though the vision may tarry...wait for it....it shall come to pass.

*The Christian clarion duty.*
*We must learn obedience:*
Hebrews 5:8 ► *Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;*
*We must learn patience:* James 1: 3-4 ► *Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.*
*But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.*

*Prayer.*
Let my obedience be full and let my patience achieve perfect work before you, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and be blessed as you come into His presence.

God bless you.

[02/06/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE LORD...MY SHEPHERD (6)*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Psalm 23:6 ► *Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
The good Shepherd guides the true sheep all the days of his life.

*Scripture Commentaries*
The true sheep, who is humble and obedient and who stays in the flock will be exalted. Their heads will be anointed with oil as the most humble of people, in the presence of their enemies and to the shame of those who despise.

*Remorse corner.*
As sheep, you are most precious and valuable assets a shepherd has; therefore, a good shepherd treats them as treasures.
Do not lose this identity, it is not negotiable.

*Call to Word action.*
The good Shepherd, at a great and personal sacrifice, is responsible for his flock throughout their lifespan.Psalm 23:6 ► *Surely goodness and mercy.. all the days of my life: and will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."*

*The Christian clarion duty.*
Do not take your service as a member of the flock for granted.
He laid down His life, why will He not freely give you all things, Rom 8:32.
Stay in the fold!

*Prayer.*
Lord, please do not abandon me. Protect me and lift me up before those who despise me, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and be blessed as you go, today.

God bless you.

[02/05/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE LORD...MY SHEPHERD (5)*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Psalm 23:5 ► *Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
A true sheep often gets injured in the line of duty.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Though the good Shepherd keeps the sheep at bay from predators, there are times when an obedient sheep suffers from invasion from outside enemies. The true sheep could also suffer from internal enemies when there is an incursion of wolves (false brethren) into the sheep fold.
These may happen either when the shepherd leads his sheep to graze or when they are quietly gathered together or in "fellowship" as a flock.
Though people will fail to protect us in the face of these dangers or may even lead or expose us into these eventualities, our Good Shepherd never forsakes us.
When the sheep is under attack as members of the true flock of the good Shepherd, they are assured God's backing.
As part of the host of God, God will fight for you and He will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies!
You will not only receive a balm of oil, you will receive a lavish generosity of it.
The good Shepherd will *"....anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”* ► Psalm 23:5b.

*Remorse corner.*
John 14:18 ► *l will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.*
Remember, there is no better comfort outside the fold.

*Call to Word action.*
There is a balm to soothe your pain and hurt, if you remain in the flock.

*The Christian clarion duty.*
The true sheep is not without the help to receiving soothe for the pains and hurts arising from their devout service in pasture with the Chief Shepherd.

*Prayer.*
Isaiah 40:11 ► a good shepherd *“gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”*
Lord carry me close to your heart and gently lead me and my family, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day, today.

God bless you.

[02/04/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE LORD...MY SHEPHERD (4)*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Psalm 23:2 ► *He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
Every good sheep would love peace and tranquility.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
The good Shepherd anticipates peace for his sheep. He will not be quick to punish or condemn. He seeks opportunities to discover reasons for their shortcomings and actions.
Before the sheep can be more effectively led into greener pastures and quieter waters
the sheep must have a willing mind to be led.
2 Cor 8:12 ► *For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted...."*

*Remorse corner.*
The sheep's posture and attributes must find expression in the way they carry out their responsibilities in the vineyard.

*Call to Word action.*
God does not want us condemned so we ought not fall under damnation.

*The Christian clarion duty*
Becareful, the sheep that goes astray will end up among predator animals.

*Prayer.*
Lord help me to humbly walk and serve you so that l will be more effectively led into greener pastures and quieter waters, instead of condemnation and punishment, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.

[02/03/21]   *WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE LORD...MY SHEPHERD (3)*

*Scripture Treasure.*
Psalm 23: 4 ► *Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.*

*Insight and Highlight.*
The true sheep of the good Shepherd will follow as the Shepherd directs.

*Scripture Commentaries.*
Sheep do not resist.
They are not cows, goats, bulls etc.
Jesus's narration of the sheep is best found in many breeds of domestic sheep which are hornless in both sexes. They have nothing to defend themselves.
The sheep were among the first animals to be domesticated because they are cool and lack aggression. This is Christ's illustration of the sheep.
However in every breed, there are often posture against norms expected of the sheep.
So, the rod is adopted by the Shepherd.
The rod and staff are, often considered disciplinary tools.
They are also weapons used to defend sheep by warding off predators.
The staff is used to hook a sheep’s neck or leg to redirect, hold, or nudge them down.
As instruments of reprove, discipline and protection, they are not used with the intentions to hurt the sheep but rather to keep them safe.

*Remorse corner.*
The rod and staff are wagged before all sheep but the sheep
which obey are spared.

*Call to Word action.*
The good Shepherd does not always wish to break the leg of the erring sheep because of what the Shepherd would have to endure with as He nurtures the sheep back to good health.
Let us not frustrate the Shepherd's tenderness.

*The Christian clarion duty.*
Though the rod and the staff are corrective instruments, God wants the sheep to see them as more of a comfort and protection rather than a wielded stick of punishment.
Therefore, the sheep must seek to show himself approved..a workman that needs not be ashamed..2 Tim 2:15.

*Prayer*
Lord, let not your patience run out on me, in Jesus name.
Jeremiah 31:20 ► *Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.*

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
