Photos from Dallas Area Torah Association - DATA's post 03/09/2021

After about 30 years of wear and tear, it's time to repair and upgrade the Dallas eruv. Huge shoutout to everyone who participated in the campaign to finance the maintenance. This is how it's done!

[02/18/21]   Huge shout out to the Jewish Federation, Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, hundreds of private donors, and of course the indefatigable owners and staff at Kosher Palate for the distibution of food, warmth and camaraderie over the last two days. Ths spirit of the Dallas Jewish community warms the heart.

To quote the Jewish Federation's Mariam Shpeen Feist, "People are really helping people........literally telling strangers to come to their home, they’ll open up their homes for the babies, for the dogs, for the families. You know, it’s unbelievable. And this is Dallas. This is resilience and just people, they’re putting COVID as second. First is people’s lives. ‘Put a mask on and come to our house’ kind of thing. That’s what they’re dealing with. So it’s pretty incredible.

If you are without power and in need of shelter or food, be sure to reach out to any of the above organizations, or directly to DATA, for help.

The inspiring men, women, and organizations of Dallas, as well as concerned people from accross the country, are standing by to help.
