TNE 1st Purity Class

To keep in focus the true values of good morals, high standards of living, and to discourage all forms of vile behavior that violates true Christian virtue

The Purity Class is a very sensitive auxiliary, for it caters to the age levels that are trying to find them-selves, to know who they really are and what they want to do in life. They are yet unsure of where and how far up the ladder of success they should aim. Finding one’s self is not an easy job unless there is someone there to guide them. Now, this is where the Purity Lady’s work begins. She must make herself available to the members through forums, rap sessions, etc. The Purity Class is not an auxiliary outside of the church. There is no set of rules for the church body and another set of rules for the Puritans. We have been given the privilege to reach out and get that select group of Mr. and Miss Purity and Purity Class Blazers (which is the Junior and Senior Purity Class); to help mold their Christian character. Therefore, the Purity Lady must, by precept and example, be able to insist on a high standard of living and good morals. She must, with all diligence, try to save her Puritans from the evils of this society such as homosexuality, drugs and immorality.

The Texas Northeast First Purity Class would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to our dear Sis. Carmen McGilvery and her family, of St. Emanuel COGIC, in Dennison TX, in the loss of her sister, Donna Cross. We love you and our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

After the completion of our foot washing experience we gathered together one last time in the fashion of Jesus and His disciples and break bread and drank, in remembrance of Him.

Lastly we ate dinner together, hugged and loved on one another, and fellowshipped one last time before heading to bed.

What an awesome weekend with sisters united for one common goal, the spiritual lives of our youth.

Let therefore purity reign!!

[09/20/16]   Hello Texas Northeast First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction! Let therefore purity reign!

The Purity Class has been provided with a National Purity Class Topic. Some of you may not have a topic, may have just started your Purity Class, or may not have known there was a topic, so we are providing you with the information. Let’s get on one accord and finish 2016 strong in the unity of the Spirit (Eph 4:3). If we will commit to studying 2 lessons per month, we will have accomplished much. This is the month of September, so we can start studying from Unit III Lessons 13 and 14.

If you would like a 2017 Purity Class Topic and/or the Purity Class handbook, reach out to your local, district or state leaders to let them know that you are interested in receiving a topic, before the international convocation in November. This way they can insure that you are equipped with the necessary resources before January 2017.

Lesson 13
Topic: You are Unique
Scripture: Proverbs 23:7
Lesson Objective: To help Puritans know themselves
Lesson Thrust: No one else will ever be you or have your unique strength, physical appearance, skills, accomplishments, personality, interest, thoughts and feelings. Appreciating and accepting your good points and learning how to love yourself does not mean that you are self-centered, egotistical or stuck-up. Before you can thoroughly give to others, you need to value, appreciate and love yourself.

Lesson 14
Topic: Time alone with Him (Jesus)
Psalm 139:11-17; Emphasis verse 17
Psalm 22:7-11; Emphasis verse 9
Isaiah 44:1-10; Emphasis verse 2
Jeremiah 1:1-10; Emphasis verse 5
Genesis 2:1-8; Emphasis verse 7

We have been provided with the topics, but you can be as creative as God allows, in the way you deliver the topics.

Let therefore Purity Reign! It is our time to get instruction from the Lord. See you there!!

Encouraging all those that can, to be IN THE HOUSE!!

[01/21/16]   Greetings TNE 1st Purity Class Department,
I have longed to be in fellowship with you and to share of God’s many blessings. It has been a time of continual prayer and patience, as we were waiting to communicate how we were to proceed with our Purity Class Department fellowship.

Our Jurisdiction was called upon to say farewell to our Bishop J. Neaul Haynes on March 9, 2015, we will always hold him in a special place in our hearts; and we are in continual prayer for our Mother Vivian Haynes, Supervisor Pia Haynes -Williams and their entire family. We salute and welcome our new Bishop Prelate, Bishop James E. Hornsby & First Lady of TNE 1st Lady Janis Hornsby, as they take the baton of leadership for TNE 1st.

Our 4th Annual Conference “2015 Drum Major for Purity” called the Purity Class forth as God’s Army of DRUM MAJORS to arise and to take the LEAD! The Puritans were encouraged to: Stir Up the Gifts of God Within and to be Provoked to Good Works; 2 Timothy. God reminded us of the courageous Drum Majors in our past generations and in the Holy Scriptures, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Daniel, Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael. Their young lives were commended because they chose to live Pure and Purposeful lives! They too found themselves experiencing change, and having to shift to new places, but they held fast to their faith in God and stood firm as DRUM MAJORS FOR PURITY! TNE 1st Drum Majors let us march forward into 2016 and ask God for our assignment in the Kingdom.

God has given the theme for 2016! 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, “BLESS ME INDEED!” We are seeking the God of Israel to grant us our petition! Please begin to prepare for our 5th Annual Purity Class Day, March 5, 2016 being held at West Irving COGIC, 11AM – 3PM. Local churches and/or districts prepare your Puritans to share their gifts and talents on this day. In order to prepare in advance, there we will be a form sent via email to be filled out and returned for each program participant. We ask our Purity Ladies, Youth Workers & Puritans to come prepared with your offerings as follows: Purity Ladies $25, Youth Workers $15 & Puritan/Youth $3. These are the amounts the Lord placed on our hearts, however, if you are blessed and/or instructed to do more please follow the leading of the Lord. Thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to our time of fellowship together and as always our love for you is GREAT!

Please contact Evangelist Henderson for any assistance in strengthening your Purity Class Department.

BLESSED INDEED,

Am I Looking To God?

Do we expect God to come to us with His blessings and save us? He says, “Look to Me, and be saved . . . .” The greatest difficulty spiritually is to concentrate on God, and His blessings are what make it so difficult. Troubles almost always make us look to God, but His blessings tend to divert our attention elsewhere. The basic lesson of the Sermon on the Mount is to narrow all your interests until your mind, heart, and body are focused on Jesus Christ. “Look to Me . . ..”

Many of us have a mental picture of what a Christian should be, and looking at this image in other Christians’ lives becomes a hindrance to our focusing on God. This is not salvation—it is not simple enough. He says, in effect, “Look to Me and you are saved,” not “You will be saved someday.” We will find what we are looking for if we will concentrate on Him. We get distracted from God and irritable with Him while He continues to say to us, “Look to Me, and be saved . . . .” Our difficulties, our trials, and our worries about tomorrow all vanish when we look to God.

Wake yourself up and look to God. Build your hope on Him. No matter how many things seem to be pressing in on you, be determined to push them aside and look to Him. “Look to Me . . . .” Salvation is yours the moment you look.

Lord, unto You do I look up. How I know that “in me dwelleth no good thing”; and how marvelous is Your grace that I now find in my heart no motive save for Your glory.
