The Dallas Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) is a group of high school students from Unity of Dallas that join together to be friends, have a good time, help others, and together explore many different spiritual beliefs and paths.
What is YOU? The Youth of Unity (YOU) is an international youth group for teens ages 14-19 (grades 9-12). The purpose of YOU is to encourage and assist in the spiritual growth of all young people who are seeking to express the indwelling Christ in accordance with the principles of practical Christianity as taught and interpreted by Unity Institute and the Association of Unity Churches International. YOU provides youth the opportunity to explore Unity’s principles and other truth teachings and to demonstrate these in their daily lives. What is an active YOU group? A YOU group typically meets on a weekly basis, usually Sunday morning. They meet at the Red House (house behind the church) at 11:00 am each Sunday when not away at a rally or helping with the younger children. They create their own course of study under the mentorship of the Y.O.U sponsors. Youth discuss and learn a variety of spiritual teachings, attend social gatherings, and become involved in their church and community. Officers, or a leadership team, are often elected to help plan for the local group. What is a region? Each state belongs to one of the seven ministerial regions as defined by the Association of Unity Churches International (dba Unity Worldwide Ministries). Unity of Dallas YOU is in the North Texas Community. Each region hosts many events, or rallies, for its YOU groups. Regional representatives are elected yearly to plan the YOU experiences on a regional level. These events include rallies, leadership events, lock-ins, subregional activities, fundraisers and service projects. What are rallies? Rallies encourage fellowship as well as the sharing of ideas and experiences in the framework of Unity principles. UoD YOU hold fundraising events throughout the year to be able to attend the rallies and other regional events. To attend a rally, teens must be attending Y.O.U. regularly and must have the certain amount of service hours. YOU pay for 1/3, the Church pays for 1/3 and the teens/parents pay for 1/3. Rallies are fun, spirit filled and full of love. Teens and sponsors alike all love going to them!
Mission: Unity of Dallas's Mission: We pray, meditate, educate, serve, and celebrate as we awaken to spirit’s empowering presence in our lives, our community, and our world. Vision: We are an ever-evolving spiritual community beaming a relevant message that transforms human potential into divine expression.

Sending love and light AND an invitation to join in on a Master Mind session TONIGHT(Monday) at 8pm MST, 9pm CST, supporting the growth and well-being of our Youth of Unity Ministry.
Pray this prayer with yourself, knowing that others are energetically tuned in praying the same...connect with a friend, co-sponsor, YFM Director, USCR Board, Minister, YOUer to pray at the time listed above.
We use our words wisely and we know that our thoughts are prayers. We know that prayer work is powerful to bring into manifestation that which we desire.
Mastermind Prayer/ YOU:
I release myself to the Master Mind because I am strong when I have others to help me.
I believe the combined intelligence of the Master Mind creates a wisdom far beyond my own.
I understand that I will more easily create positive results in life when I am open to looking at myself and my problems and opportunities from another’s point of view.
I decide to release my desire totally in trust to the Master Mind and I am open to accepting new possibilities.
I forgive myself for mistakes I have made. I also forgive others who have hurt me in the past so I can move into the future with a clean slate.
I ask to be changed at depth. I ask believing that the Master Mind smoothly manifests all that is needed to support the ongoing health and wellbeing of the South Central YOU program.
I give thanks
I give thanks that the Master Mind is responding to the needs of our YOUTH now and in the future.
I know that the South Central YOU is expanding to encourage and support the radiant spiritual lives of more and more teens and that we are an abundant and prosperous ministry.
And so it is.
Curious what a rally is?
Unity South Central Region’s Youth of Unity (YOU) program provides an environment in which our teens are encouraged to grow in self-esteem, leadership ability and spiritual understanding. Our annual Legacy Rally brings together teens from around our region where they express unconditional love, respect and acceptance for each other as they learn and have fun together. They are lovingly supported at every event by dedicated sponsors from their respective chapters, as well as by our USCR Teen Consultant, John Choplin. Listen to some of the teens who attended Legacy this year as they share about how being a part of YOU has helped to shape their lives. Watch their joyous faces as they experience the freedom of being themselves. Hear the voices of sponsors talk about their commitment and why YOU is such an important ministry for our region. Help us to ensure that our teenagers continue to have these amazing experiences. Share this video with your ministry to enlist the support of others in your congregation. Encourage your teens to attend a rally. Join our monthly leadership and minister support conference calls. Information for these calls will be posted on our website soon. Make a donation to support Youth & Family Ministry. Like and share this post. Thank you!
[08/08/17] Lock-in this Sat. Aug 12th. Hope to see you all there!
I met Macy last week at Legacy last week and feel compelled to share. She is a former YOUer and current Jr. Sponsor. I can't express how impressed I am with this young woman. She is a friend and a role model to so many of the teens in YOU. She was in my family group and I have to say she is a truly special soul. She teaches yoga in her hometown of Springfield and later this month she is traveling to India to deepen her understanding of yoga and herself. Her passion is helping people realize how valuable they truly are. She has written the book below "I am worthy" to help others feel capable, confident and empowered. Pledges to the Kickstarter below will help both dreams materialize. There are so many things that seem worthy of our time, attention and funds sometimes it is hard to know where best to direct it. Personally I like to fund causes that move me and have multiple impacts. Helping Macy go to India and deepen her spiritual self, bringing to life a book designed to help others see their worth, and getting back an even more powerful Macy to help our teens and community as a whole. That makes it a trifecta for me, if you feel the same please help fund this project. Thank You, Michael Sommers

GO FUND ME CAMPAIGN
In the wake of Saturday's tragedy, Equality Florida has created a Go Fund Me campaign to raise money for the victims and family members affected by the mass shooting.
"The amount of love and compassion felt around the world towards the victims and their families of the Pulse shooting is a testament to the incredible good that is in the world.
We are currently working to raise as much as possible for these victims and their families, as well as distribute the funds as fast as possible. We have a team of attorneys and organizations who are experts in this process facilitating next steps.
We will be setting up a hotline soon for all victims and their families to begin this process.
We currently do not know the total costs for all of the victims and families, and will continue to raise funds for these families to cover medical costs and funeral arrangements.
Thank you for supporting the Orlando community."
