Jesus is not just the central figure in Christianity. He's also the central figure in Western painting. Because his image is everywhere in churches and museums, it's easy to take them for granted and miss the theological statements different depictions of Jesus are making. In this interactive presentation, author and theologian Dr. Jonathan Malesic, a Holy Trinity parishioner, will show how to look at classic portrayals of Jesus by painters throughout history. You will come away with a better appreciation for how artists' decisions contribute to the statement their work makes about who Jesus is.
