Week Seven (May 27) Bible Story: Peter Told Cornelius About Jesus (Acts 10)
• A man named Cornelius and his family loved God.
• Cornelius talked to God every day and he did good things for people.
• A messenger told Cornelius that God was happy with him.
• The messenger also told Cornelius to send for a man named Peter.
• Cornelius had Peter brought to his house.
• Cornelius, his family members and his friends listened to Peter tell them about God and Jesus.
• Many of Cornelius’ friends and family started loving and talking to God, too.

FBD Awana Sparks 2019-2020

Our AWANA kids rock!!! Our children have completed over 695 handbook sections from home the past couple months. Each section includes at least one Bible verse to memorize as well as Bible devotional questions for the preteen ages. This year our children, leaders, and even parents have been challenged to memorize God's word and apply it to their lives. We look forward to an exciting celebration zoom tonight and a drive-by award pick next month!

Week Six (May 20) Bible Story: Paul Taught in Athens (Acts 17:16-34)
•Paul went to the city of Athens to tell people about Jesus.
•Paul went the synagogue (church) in Athens.
•Paul helped the people understand the words in the Scriptures.
•Paul told the people who God made the world and everything in it.
•He told the people that they should love and obey God.
•Some people believed what Paul taught about God and Jesus.

PLAY!
Build A Church - Use Legos, blocks or empty toilet paper or paper towel tubes to build a church with your preschooler. Talk about how Paul taught the people about Jesus. Take a photo of your child building a church. Post your photo to Facebook or Instagram and tag us! Use the hashtags:

Week Five (May 13) Bible Lesson: Paul Listened to God. (Acts 15 and 16)

• Paul and Timothy traveled together to different towns. The men went to help churches and tell people about God and Jesus.
• Paul listened as God told him where to go and when to teach about God and Jesus. Many new people believed in Jesus, God’s Son.
• In a dream, Paul was told a new place to go. Paul listened to God.
• Paul and Timothy traveled to a new city.

PLAY: Play a game of Simon Says: Give your preschooler various commands and encourage them to obey. (i.e. stand on one leg, jump up and down, raise their hands up over their head, pat their tummy, etc.) Explain that Paul and Timothy obeyed God and went to all the places God told them to go. If they are old enough, ask your child to give you instructions, too! Take a photo of your child playing the game and following instructions. Post a photo to Facebook or Instagram and tag us! Week Four (May 6) Bible Lesson: Paul and Barnabas became Missionaries. (Acts 13)
• The church in Antioch sent Paul and Barnabas to other places to tell people about Jesus.
• Paul and Barnabas sailed in boats to different cities and told people about Jesus.
• Paul and Barnabas were the first missionaries. Missionaries are people who go and tell people about Jesus.

PLAY!
Make a pretend boat: Invite your preschooler to join you in the boat and “sail” telling others you meet along the way about Jesus. Tell your child “Paul and Barnabas told about Jesus.” And “Missionaries tell others about Jesus.” (Your boat can be couch cushions, a taped off place on the floor, a quilt or old tablecloth!).
