At PCBC we strive to Know God through worship, to Grow more like Christ in discipleship, and to Show Christ by reaching the lost world.
Park Cities Baptist Church is a busy and vibrant church, with numerous ministries, missions and programs. Yet, in everything we do, we strive to Know Christ through worship, to Grow more like Him through discipleship, and to Show His love by joining Him on mission, bringing hope and healing to our world through the Gospel.
Mission: As Christians, our purpose is to bring glory to Jesus Christ. We do that—as a church and as individuals—by living as disciples and by making disciples. That’s easy to say, but what does it mean? The life of discipleship involves three inter-related processes: knowing Christ, growing in Christ and showing Christ to others. We call it the Jesus Life—a life that looks increasingly like the life of Jesus. Our goal in 2012 is to help every PCBC member not only understand what it means to live as a disciple but also to take specific steps every day to live as Christ would have us live. Many of us already are living the Jesus Life, but can always follow Him more closely. Others need to take that first step to follow Christ every day in every area of daily life.
Who needs to be reminded of this truth today?

As Your love...
in wave after wave,
Crashes over me, crashes over me.
For You are for us...
You are not against us.
Champion of Heaven,
You made a way for all to enter in.
We love hearing stories of God's goodness and provision! Brother Bill's Helping Hand - thank you for loving our community and letting our church walk alongside you!
Today during our Saturday Drive Thru Grocery Store we met Patricia and had the honor of hearing her amazing story. She grew up in West Dallas with an alcoholic and abusive father. Her family lived meal to meal, regularly struggling to have enough food, clothes, and shoes. Patricia’s mother found Brother Bill Harrod’s Church, the Eagleford Baptist Church, in the 1960’s and called it her saving grace. There they learned about Jesus and accepted Him as their Savior. Patricia shared they felt the love of God through Brother Bill Harrod and the amazing volunteers from Park Cities Baptist Church. They helped with food, shoes, kids’ activities, discipleship, and so much more. Patricia shared she still vividly remembers being baptized by Brother Bill himself in October of 1962 and said she is so thankful for all he did for her family. Now Patricia is semi-retired and runs a business from home part-time. She came by Brother Bill’s today to pick up food for a friend who is unable to drive. She was truly glowing while recounting all that Brother Bill’s meant to her family growing up. She even shared how her father finally came to know the Lord and get baptized at the end of his life. We are so thankful for the life-changing work God started through Brother Bill Harrod in West Dallas 76 years ago and are so humbled to be able to continue this important legacy as we seek to love, serve, and empower our community daily.

We are so excited to kick off our summer sermon series, LIVING THE NEW NORMAL // June 7-July 26, 2020
Everyone is talking about this “new normal” that has arrived without invitation and has completely disrupted our lives. One thing is certain: the new normal is uncertainty. But a crisis doesn’t define us – in fact, it reveals us. When everything turns upside down, we discover where we place our trust.
In the Old Testament we find the story of Daniel – a teenager who, along with his friends, was forced into a new normal in a single day. In 605 B.C., the Babylonians conquered Israel and among the first Israelites forced into detention was Daniel. His former life was gone, and he was forced to live in exile, far away from Jerusalem. How do you live – and even thrive – in a new normal, when the life you knew is taken away? Where do you turn for answers and assurance?
Daniel discovered that his trust could be fully placed in God, come what may. Through his experience, we can find the “new normal” in ours, with confidence that God is in control.

Did you miss Sunday's message? We've got you covered! You won't want to miss this incredible message of hope!
In the darkness, we were waiting
Without hope, without light
'Til from Heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
We grieve today for our city, for our nation, for our world... but don't miss this, Church, WE ARE NOT WITHOUT HOPE! Jesus remains the same yesterday, today and forevermore.
Tonight Pastor Jeff Warren and members of our PCBC family gathered with believers from across our city to pray for justice, repentance and a non-violent response to the death of George Floyd.
A divided nation needs a UNITED church and that begins when God’s people come together in prayer. Let us be the change our world needs as we follow the Way of Jesus.
