At PCBC we strive to Know God through worship, to Grow more like Christ in discipleship, and to Show Christ by reaching the lost world.
Park Cities Baptist Church is a busy and vibrant church, with numerous ministries, missions and programs. Yet, in everything we do, we strive to Know Christ through worship, to Grow more like Him through discipleship, and to Show His love by joining Him on mission, bringing hope and healing to our world through the Gospel.
Mission: As Christians, our purpose is to bring glory to Jesus Christ. We do that—as a church and as individuals—by living as disciples and by making disciples. That’s easy to say, but what does it mean? The life of discipleship involves three inter-related processes: knowing Christ, growing in Christ and showing Christ to others. We call it the Jesus Life—a life that looks increasingly like the life of Jesus. Our goal in 2012 is to help every PCBC member not only understand what it means to live as a disciple but also to take specific steps every day to live as Christ would have us live. Many of us already are living the Jesus Life, but can always follow Him more closely. Others need to take that first step to follow Christ every day in every area of daily life.

"What do we have to fear if God is in control? If God is sovereign, why should we be afraid?" - Travis Cook
THIS Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, beginning the Lenten Season across the Christian Faith. What a perfect time to turn our hearts to Jesus and focus on living like Him. How do we do that? Dr. Jeff Warren will guide us toward six spiritual disciplines that transform us to become more like Jesus. Han Oh, Stephen Carrell, and others from our worship team will lead us in a time of praise and adoration. We will share in the Lord’s Supper together. See you at 6:30 pm in Great Hall!
We continue to reject Jesus in our day. Why do we reject Him? Why is He so offensive? Join us tomorrow as Pastor Jeff and Travis wrap up our February sermon series with This Jesus Who Was Rejected.
"It starts in the home, but Park Cities provides the passion for the kids, the resources, and the encouragement for the parents."
We LOVE the fact that our church is multigenerational and that we have programs and events for all ages - from infants and toddlers to senior adults. We recently asked people from several different life stages to tell us why Park Cities is their church family. Watch as the Roan family shares what makes Park Cities home to them.
Mark your calendar! Join us next Wednesday as we come together for worship, teaching, and to observe the Lord's Supper on this holy night that begins the Lenten Season.
Pastor Jeff will guide us to “practice the way of Jesus” in our lives. We must walk as He walked, through specific spiritual disciplines: solitude, prayer, simplification, confession, submission, and service. These disciplines put us in position to be with Jesus, to hear from Him, to know Him more intimately, and to follow Him. Learn more at pcbc.org/events.
Tonight’s dinner in the Commons is from our friends at Chick-Fil-A! We hope to see you from 4:45-6:30 before Wednesday night activities!
"We are not allowed to just hold onto everything. If we have truly grasped Jesus’ teachings, then we know it’s better to give than to receive, and that our Savior is generous beyond measure. And so are we." - Pastor Jeff Warren
Jesus is Lord of our lives. But what does it mean for Him to be Lord? Why is He Lord above all? Why is He so distinctive? Join us tomorrow for week three of our This Jesus sermon series as Pastor Jeff and Travis share "This Jesus: Lord of All."
"We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19

"Yes, Jesus loves us, and yes, Jesus desires to give us life. [But] we all need to wake up to the fact that this Jesus is also in charge...
Whoever Jesus is to you, if he's not Jesus crucified, resurrected, and exalted to all authority in your life, you have the wrong
idea about who Jesus is." - Travis Cook
THIS JESUS WHO WAS CRUCIFIED \\ Join us tomorrow at 10:45 a.m. in the Great Hall or the Sanctuary for week two of our new sermon series, This Jesus! The crucifixion of Jesus is central to our faith, second only to the Resurrection. Jesus died for ALL people, and we all need to come to Him for redemption. We hope to see you tomorrow!

NEW SERMON SERIES THIS SUNDAY! // Is it possible that we have, over time, created our own Jesus – one that is a lot like us, agrees with us, doesn’t oppose us? Do you follow “this Jesus” – the real, counter-cultural Jesus – or “that Jesus” – the cultural, accommodating Jesus? This Jesus loves all people. This Jesus loves you unconditionally. That Jesus says, “Work harder, get better.” This Jesus is clear. He wants us to bow before Him – that Jesus wants to be on our side. This Jesus says, “Follow me,” – that Jesus says, “Come to church.” This Jesus says, “Take up your cross, and follow me.” Let’s explore THIS JESUS and make Him our Jesus.
“The Gospel is empowering. It is freedom. You don’t have to worry about success to have significance, because you are significant to Christ. You don’t have to fear failure because in Christ we have been given the victory over sin, death, and evil. You don’t have to fear the threat of loneliness or discomfort because He is our peace, and He has called us friends.” – Travis Cook
