Today for CSW we have Lead as our main focus, Leaders are creative! We had crazy sock day and our older students lead reading time with our younger students. 🧦 📚 ❤️ #OLPHStrong #OLPHCSW

Day 3 of Catholic Schools Week is a day of to Serve. We are competing at Prince of Peace for the Annual Religion Bowl. We have a community wide Catholic Charities Canned Food Drive starting today, come help us fill the blue container. Our 1st graders put on a wonderful presentation thanking our Advisory Council for their service and support to our school. Lastly, our middle schoolers serving our younger grades lunch today. #OLPHStrong #OLPHCSW

Today the teachers and staff were able to celebrate our Sr. Mercy and her newest accomplishment of becoming a US Citizen. We are very proud of your hard work and dedication Mercedes Mercy. 🇺🇸❤️ #OLPHProud

Congratulations to our newest American citizen, Sister Mercy. We are so proud of you. The Citizenship Ceremony was this morning. Over 77 people from 30 different countries were part of today’s naturalization ceremony. We are so excited for everyone and especially our Sister Mercy.

Fall is in the air at OLPH!

Congratulations to our EC teacher, Ms. Gildenstern. She won the Diocesan wide "College and Heaven" Bulletin Board Competition. During Discover Catholic Schools Week (November 17 through 23) the Catholic Schools Office sponsored a competition across their schools to design a bulletin board that showed what “college and heaven” means to them!! As all OLPH teachers, students and parents understand, the journey starts as young as 3 years old in our Early Childhood Program. Well done Ms. Gildenstern. We are so proud of you!!

Today is All Saints Day and our 2nd grade students dressed as saints for mass today. After mass the second grade students and their 8th grade student mentors told us which saint they represented with a small fact about the saint. OLPH was blessed with the presence of St. Michael the Archangel, St. Teresa of Calcutta, St. Joseph, St. Rose of Lima, St. Anne, St. Cecilia, St. Francis, St. Jude, St. Jeremiah, St. Mary Mother of God, and we were twice blessed with St. Mary, St.Teresa of Avila, St. Monica and more. TRUNK OR TREAT! On Friday evening our students and families moved into the gym with their decorations for a Trunk or Treat Celebration. Thank you to the families and our OLPH team for making the event a magical Friday evening.

Last week we also had a visit from Medieval Times. What a wonderful way to experience history! Thank you Mrs. Fougerousse for taking the pictures and video of the very royal ceremony in our gym.

We had a very busy morning at OLPH on this very rainy Friday. We are excited to announce our very first Robotics Club for Middle School students and today was their first meeting. Bright eyed and ready to build, our middle school students meet at 7:00am on Friday mornings. The Robotics Club is led by 7th grade teacher Mr. Grosshuesch and 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Ruenes!

This morning we also had a school wide Living Rosary. The PLAN was to do our Rosary outdoors but the weather had a different idea for us. We moved our Living Rosary to the OLPH school cafeteria. With our students gathered as one in prayer, you could truly feel the presence of the Blessed Virgin and God’s hands extended to bless Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.

Congratulations to our OLPH students who were awarded Blue and Red Ribbon Certificates in Speech and Drama. The Diocese wide Speech and Drama Festival was held at John Paul ll High School. Elmer had a perfect score!! Thank you John Paul II High School for hosting this event!
