“Then will the lame leap like a deer and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. The burning sand will become a cool oasis, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.” Is. 35:6- 7 The biblical background for Oasis reflects how Oasis has been and will continue to be a source of help to many. Oasis introduces needy people to the Agape medical clinic which serves the uninsured, legal clinic services for those who need help with legal matters, Alley’s house for teenage mothers, and Open Door Preschool for early learning - all important oppotunities to introduce Jesus the Christ to everyone. As the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness, places with an Oasis meant resources for LIFE. Oasis Global Mission leads individuals to wholeness, quenches the spiritual, emotional , social and physical needs of individuals and families; addresses homelessness, abuse, poverty, and the challenges of African immigrants and refugees. SPIRITUAL: We connect people to that love of Jesus the Christ by offering Bible study, home fellowship and a worship services. Knowing that someone somewhere loves and cares, gives individual person’s life that was lost, as they maneuvered their way to the United State or their way from long imprisonment. As we minister to broken souls, we have experienced lives being changed and transformed by the spirit of the living God. EMOTIONAL: We help individuals that are homeless join different recovery groups, and follow-up with them weekly. Oasis offers help to reconnect them with their families, help them connect with others who have gone through recovery to share their experience, and to connect with new friends. We help immigrants and refugees connect with others who have settled into American life in order to guide them and mentor them, helping them cope with culture shock as they learn to live in the Dallas area. SOCIAL: Oasis Global exercises Ubuntu, explained by Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu as “I am because we are and we are because I am.” We connect with each other and work together, promoting the skills and talents of each individual, enabling each of us to thrive in this country. A Kenyan proverb states “One finger cannot kill a bedbug.” Our survival depends on our inherent relation with others. All of our relationships, experiences, and learned behaviors shape our identities. PHYSICAL: We help people that are struggling with addiction connect with a long-term solutions that will guide them toward recovery with the goal of independence, stable housing, jobs. We guide them to the use of resources like Agape health clinic, the legal clinic, and City Square for food, furniture and shelter. We guide immigrants as they get settled in their new Dallas home by directing them where to get clothing and furniture assistance, and connect them to job opportunity agencies.

Mission: Oasis Global Mission welcomes the many African immigrants that have chosen Dallas as their new home. Embracing both individuals and families into the fellowship, Oasis provides fellowship and mentors to those assimilating into American life. The support we offer is physical, emotional and spiritual. Everyone is welcome to celebrate in worship with us!

Pastor Paul at his element during the 2nd Anniversary celebration

[08/28/16]   Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained. - Philippians 3:12-16

Oasis family and I, invites you, your family and friends to cerebrate our 2nd year anniversary for our church. Come and thank God together for God's faithfuness.

[06/26/16]   Sunday service at Oasis, encouraging word from Rev Mary, teaching from 2 Kings 2:1-14:

Elisha was committed and had a desire to experience the Lord.
He asked for the anointing and gift that he desired from the Lord.
The Lord will give you what you request. Elisha wanted the things that Elijah had.
Spirit of faith
Spirit of obedience
Spirit of courage
Ask and believe that what you have asked for will come to pass.

[06/13/16]   Rev. Mary Miriti-Jackson

1 Kings 21
Ahab had everything that he wanted while all Naboth had was the small piece of land that was his inheritance.
Ahab fully understood the laws of the land pertaining to inheritance but he put himself first
How do we handle issues when we are told no? Do we become manipulative and conniving?
Let us not allow the spirit of evil take possession of our hearts.
When the darkness seems darker the light shines brighter.

Amazing and glorious worship led by DOXA band during the Kiswahili service!!

[05/01/16]   Such an encouraging exhortation by Dr Gitaari

5 reasons why not to worry Matthew 6:25-34
Do not worry is not a request but a command from Jesus
Reasons not to worry
1 Worry is useless and futile and does not solve anything.
2 Worry is a sign of faithlessness. It's believing the problem rather than God. The disease called worry and fear is cured by medicine of faith. The language of faith speaks of what God can do
Don't disqualify yourself based on your qualifications
3 We have a father who knows our needs. He is aware and is concerned and is not limited like our earthly fathers. As a child go to him with confidence asking in the name of Jesus who gives us access
4 We have a better job to do than worry - seek his righteousness first these other things will be added
5 Worry will drain today's energy. Remember His name is I am, not I was or I will be.

Here is our EASTER BREAKING NEWS BRETHEN; Easter may be postponed this year because JUDAS is refusing to betray JESUS. He claims that 30 pieces of silver is too small due to the current economic situation. JUDAS is demanding 100% increment on the amount. Negotiation are still on going and JUDAS with his entire family apologize for the inconvenience caused. Remember without JUDAS betraying JESUS, we Christians are in a predicament. It’s important to work as a team to make this betrayal to happen. This will call for massive prayer. Due to this predicament, I am inviting you all for GOOD FRIDAY 6 PM WORSHIP SERVICE, to go before God as a team for JUDAS to take action and JESUS to pay our price on the cross. On Saturday 6pm worship Service, we are celebrating NEW LIFE BY OBSERVING WHAT JUDAS MISSED after he killed himself. On Sunday 1:30pm New Life celebrations focuses on NEW LIFE IN CHRIST.
