The Center for Child and Community Development is dedicated to the cognitive, affective/social, and cultural development of children in diverse communities
The Excellence for English Learners (ExcELs) Program serves to build capacity for educators of English Learners (ELs) through research-based professional development opportunities for districts big and small. In 2012, the Center for Child and Community Development received a grant from the Office of English Language Acquisition at the U.S. Department of Education to provide professional development opportunities for districts serving ELs.
Mission: The Center for Child and Community Development (CCCD) is dedicated to the cognitive, affective/social, and cultural development of children in ethnically diverse communities. With both a national and international reach, the Center serves this mission through the provision of research-related educational programs and services to schools, families, and community organizations.
