She overcame her disabilities to compete in the 1956 Summer Olympic Games, and in 1960, she became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field at a single Olympics. Later in life, she formed the Wilma Rudolph Foundation to promote amateur athletics.

Did you know??? Before there was Ali, Frazier, Tyson, or Mayweather there was John Arthur “Jack” Johnson! Jack Johnson, nicknamed "the Galveston Giant," was the first African-American world heavyweight boxing champion.
Boxer Jack Johnson was born in Galveston, Texas, in 1878. In 1908 he became the first African American to win the world heavyweight crown when he knocked out the reigning champ, Tommy Burns. The fast-living Johnson held on to the title until 1915 and continued to box until he was 50. He died in an automobile accident in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1946. #blackhistorymonth #blackhistory #didyouknow #facts #boxing #blackfirst #shilohdallas

The Proof Is In The Pudding
Acts 6:7-15 Dr. Johnnie R. Bradley, Senior Pastor
1. Christianity was in Africa over 1300 years BEFORE the transatlantic slave trade!
2. Egyptian Christians were being persecuted by Europeans because of Christianity (which means Christianity did not originate in Europe)
If it did why would Europeans be hostile towards it???
3. The oldest Christian church is the Coptic church in Egypt.
4. Some of the most influential theological minds that shaped Christian thought and orthodoxy were In North Africa (Athanasius aka “the black dwarf”, Augustine, Turtullian..ect).
5. In the Bible we have an ETHIOPIAN hearing the gospel in it's early foundational stages in Acts 8.
Even with all this verifiable history:
so called “woke” people will still say “Christianity is a white mans religion given to blacks people by European slave owners”.
If Christianity was “given to blacks” via slave trade, why do we have Christianity in Africa 1300 years before the slave trade???
SMBC members & friends please say a special prayer for Pastor Bradley tonight.
